He didn't claim otherwise. The defeat was of the "reich wing", which excludes moderate (traditional) Republicans. High time the moderate wing of the GOP got some balls and stood up to the MAGA loonies.

Ummmm... Because they're the same sort of bigot? I've said it before. I honestly thought the racial hatred & bigotry was more or less done. Not racism, not abuse of power, not injustice. But most of the virulent, violent hatred. And not completely done, but mostly over. And then Obama got elected. And so many people who had been required to pretend to be nice just completely lost their shit. All the 'Birther' garbage. All the "Secret Muslim" crap. All the stupid insults and criticisms of both of the Obamas. The people who had hated people with different color skin, but had been forced by 'polite society' to mute those views came out from under their rocks and went apeshit. Turns out they've always been there, but weren't able to be 'their real selves' in public. Then Trump saw his opportunity. Remember his private detective who was going to provide earthshaking revelations 'in two weeks'? Trump gained traction with his hate and vitriol, got the bigots and assholes wound up and the MAGA moron movement took off. Trump and his idiot followers then proceeded to hijack the R party. Which resulted in Bobo, Gym Jordan and Empty Gee gaining power. People like Liz Cheney decided they weren't very nice people and jumped ship, to their detriment. Keep in mind that Liz is Darth Cheney's daughter. And Trump is too evil for her. But not for the MAGA morons, and the politicians that pander to them.

Apparently the GOP decided some time ago that the bigot/poorly educated voting bloc was big enough to be worth pandering to.

You just brought back a bad memory; When I was a kid, every Christmas meant an all-day drive to my paternal grandfathers house. And I hated it for a number of reasons, including that he still had an outhouse. And getting up in the middle of a December night in Ohio, to trudge across the back yard to the outhouse was miserable!

This Tuberville, (tatertown, right) is beyond the pale. How can anyone identify as a Republican when the party is riddled with these sorts of bigots?

An example of politicians ruling, instead of representing: 56% of Montana people say abortion should be legal in all/most cases: Pew Research Center: Views about abortion among adults in Montana Last year an anti-abortion referendum in MT failed by 53% / 47% vote: How Montana’s LR-131 ‘Born-Alive’ referendum failed So if the politicians of MT actually listened to the citizens, this would not even be an issue.

I was not referring to all Republicans. I was referring to the subset who does not want to represent the citizens, but seeks power to rule the citizens. AKA the MAGA subset.

Just stop. Montana has been voting Republican since 1952 (I think only a couple of times has a Democrat won). Trump ran unopposed in Montana and won all 27 delegates. I have several moderate Republican veteran friends living there and visit them often - they/we are like-minded. You can thank the moderate Republicans who think this is more right than not. Not every Republican is "Reich, Facist, Racist, Cuckservative, etc., etc., etc., etc., etc. etc. Enough already. Man that gets old.

Big defeat for the reich wing in Montana: ‘Right to be let alone’: Montana Supreme Court unanimously extends abortion rights against latest GOP efforts, rejects ‘excessive governmental interference’ in women’s lives

Hi 101, IMO you wasted 50% of your labor typing up that gibberish. And, yes I do make mistakes here and everywhere. Jerry Baumchen

Quite possibly. Makes perfect sense to me that it could have been asked to go and have a look after the explosion was detected. But I’m asking the guy who thinks it attacked the pipeline with a time travelling anti submarine weapon.

Hi folks, Add one more idiot to this list: I look at a white nationalist as a Trump Republican . . . That's what we're called all the time. A MAGA Person At least, he is truthful. Tuberville slams effort to expel extremists from the military : NPR Jerry Baumchen

What issue? The MARD getting pulled/dislodged from of a packed reserve and not getting noticed because a jumper didn't check their gear? The MARD is VERY secure when packed. If the rig is handled poorly enough that it somehow becomes dislodged on the ground, and the jumper DOESN'T do a COMPLETE gear check afterwards, they shouldn't be participating in the sport, IMO. We made this system pin checkable after seeing how creative riggers got with other MARD systems. This is an opportunity to give the jumper peace of mind, and to keep riggers in check. We can only do so much as manufacturers.

Yes, if the trigger is fully dislodged from the pocket, and you have a reserve first deployment (not a cutaway from a partial malfunction), you could tow the reserve pilot chute, and you would want to release the snap shackle on the RSL/riser. NOW, think about the actual process here. You have the MARD that weighs about an ounce, which means it is easy to accelerate and decelerate (Newton's First Law of Motion), that is being held in a tightly packed reserve container. It's likely going to take around 30 lbs. of force to get the MARD to start to move inside the packed container, let alone move the full inch required to clear the trigger from the pocket. Without doing the math, that's going to take a MASSIVE hit to the right side of the jumper's body. Enough of a hit that I think there's going to be two dead jumpers regardless of if their reserves open or not.
