In the early 80s there were a number of Tubesteak Boogies organized by Shoobi Knutson that were held in Brooksville, Florida and later at ZHills. The boogie was by invitation only and featured color coordinated sequential jumps that were a thing of beauty in the air. Shoobi was gracious enough to invite me to film them and has been after me for quite some time to get them out of Kodak slide carousels and into a format that can be seen by everyone. Of the 4000+ 35mm slides I have of various skydiving meets, many of them are of the Tubesteak Boogies. In order to avoid having to go to the Smithsonian to borrow a slide projector, I bought a slide scanner and am now in the process of scanning the best of them. Attached below is one of them.

Twice this week, and both in Texas, mothers died covering their one surviving child from the armed man who had just murdered her other child in front of her. But let's hear again how the real threat to kids in the US is drag queens.

Let me guess, you got this info from the same "high level backchannels" that you have gotten all the rest of your incorrect information and predictions from?

Perhaps it's due to the excessive number of guns easily available to anyone in TX.

Why would a plane dropping bombs on a secret mission have its ADSB system on?

Yes it is. Where does that get us? How many paranoid people are likely to see medical care for their paranoia? As a ball-park estimate, I would say none. If you are paranoid, are you going to trust a doctor, or anyone, who tells you you have a problem? OK, but maybe family, friends, or coworkers will make the mentally ill person get treatment? In the USA that cannot be done. You can't force anyone to get treatment against their will, unless you are willing to sign an affidavit that the person is an immediate danger to themselves or others. That affidavit requires proof that the subject did or said something that establishes that there is no alternative besides incarceration in a mental hospital to keep them from killing themselves or others. Now they are at the tender mercies of the judicial system, and are certain to suffer lifelong problems with employment, finding housing, etc. because they now have involuntary commitment to a mental facility on their record. Very few people are willing to do that to a family member, close friend, or coworker. I found this out from personal experience when I had an employee who showed all the symptoms of being a paranoid schizophrenic, They were not in any way violent, just the kind of person who took all the batteries out of smoke detectors in their apartment because they were certain they were cameras and microphones. I felt badly for them because their illness was messing up their life, they had no friends or romantic partners because people were scared away as soon as the paranoia came out. But as an employer/friend there was nothing I could do except talk to them, which ruined our relationship. Because paranoia. The mental health issue is real, but a distraction at the same time. No-one is kept from buying guns due to mental illness until they commit a violent crime, by which time you already have victims. The alternative is to force people to undergo diagnosis and treatment against their will. In what way is that to be preferred over background checks, waiting periods, age restrictions (21) before being able to buy military type weapons, or restrictions on magazine capacity? As it is we have the worse of all combinations: anybody (even paranoid, excessively angry, or delusional people) can buy whatever they want in the way of guns, and nobody can force them into treatment until they kill a bunch of people. Yay!!

Remember when Ron told us that the arrest of Hillary Clinton was imminent? That her passport had been revoked, the arrest warrant had been signed, and all good patriots should "stand by" for their glorious vindication?

Ummm.... Bullshit. Look at average income by race. Look at home ownership by race. Look at lifespan by race (or a LOT of other measures of health & health care). Look at incarceration by race. I know a lot of 'old white guys' who claim, like you, that 'there's no such thing as white privilege', that 'they had to work for everything they have'. While I won't dispute that they worked, and worked hard, to earn what they have, they blatantly ignore the reality that people with different skin colors have to work a LOT harder to attain the same successes, and for some, no matter how hard they work, those successes are out of reach. That basic premise is the genesis of CRT. People saw the different levels of success for different races. They saw things like the Voting Rights Act, the Civil Rights Act, all of the anti-discrimination laws on the books and asked why discrimination is still so prevalent. So they looked. Long, hard and deep. And found that racism has basically been 'built in' to much of our society. It's not always easy to spot. It's not 'white only' signs on bathrooms, water fountains or anything else. But it's very real.

Yeah Canadian Roger, it's been a while man! I didn't mean to put words in your mouth, I was referencing when you said: so yeah, you didn't quite say 'impossible to define'. I gotta say that like most others on here, I pretty strongly disagree with your points on wokeness and racism in America. It comes across as the same BS of 'my life hasn't been a nonstop cavalcade of blowjobs and free money, so white privilege doesn't exist'. As a straight, white male I've still got plenty of challenges, but there are some people who have more. I'd say the generally accepted definition of 'woke' is being able to admit that. I've lived in several different countries as well, having had residences in Canada, US, Venezuela and Mexico, as well as spending significant chunks of time in several others. To say the US is the least racist country almost had me choking on my Timbits! Not to say that there aren't problems elsewhere, but I've not seen some of the brazen BS that I see in Texas and southern Louisianna oilfield shops anywhere else. YMMV

There is no point to negotiating with armies that torture prisoners-of-war. It becomes a question of: "Would you prefer to be tortured today or tortured tomorrow?" The Geneva Convention bans torturing prisoners-of-war because the practice is ultimately unprofitable. First, victims will cheerfully tell you ANYTHING in hopes of stopping torture. Whether torture victims tell the truth is .... vague ... difficult to predict .... Secondly, if they expect to be tortured, soldiers are less likely to surrender. If they expect to be tortured, they will fight to the bitter end, long after hope is lost. Thirdly, if they have tortured prisoners-of-war, those subjugated people are more difficult to rule in the long run. Many centuries ago, Western European nobles figured out that if they only displace the ruling elite, it is much easier to convince peasants to return to their plows. Apparently Eastern Europeans are not bright enough to lean this lesson. They will need to mature a few more centuries before they understand the Geneva Convention.

Interesting. My cousin's Palestinian husband has been profiled repeatedly in the last 20+ years (especially for awhile after 9/11). He has been a citizen since the 1960's I believe, but just had to quit flying for a few years because it wasn't worth the hassle. Profiling is institutional racism; not being able to buy in certain neighborhoods is institutional racism (and while it's illegal now, just ask Ron how they they treat people who "don't fit in" a little differently -- now imagine that his community was all-white instead of all-Christian). So yes, I call bullshit, too. The fact that white families don't really need to give their boys "the talk" is a pretty good indication that there are differences in how people are treated based on the color of their skin. The fact that people of color documentably get less for comparable houses, and don't get interviews as often for jobs, is a pretty good indication that there are differences in how people are treated based on the color of their skin. Just as people are treated differently based on their gender. It's not by every.single.person, but it's enough that after awhile you wonder if it's because it's you specifically, or (in my case) because I'm a woman. The interruptions, the "dears," the ignoring in a technical setting. The alternative to being ignored or interrupted in a technical setting is to be a bitch. Do guys have to make that choice? Again, not every single time -- but enough that it's noticeable that it's different. Wendy P.

I saw a story this morning about a father who opened fire on a 16 year old kid at a crowded Texas prom party and killed him. And the article suggested that the police were not pursuing charges against him since the other person drew first. Which is amazing - that opening fire at a crowded party full of teens is perfectly fine as long as they felt threatened. So when I got home this afternoon I went to look up "Texas shooting." And the first thing that popped up was the more recent mass murder at a Texas mall. So I tried "Texas shooting prom." That search returned a shooting last week at a Texas prom. Finally I had to do "Texas prom shooting 16 year old" to find this particular shooting. There are so many shootings in Texas nowadays that it's hard to find any specific one. I have to wonder if Texas republicans are even bothering with "thoughts and prayers" any more; it is literally an every day thing now.

Why is having a justice system something the government must provide directly? You appear to think the private sector can do everything else, why not this? You say this like it’s a logical fact when it is nothing but your own opinion.
