3 pointsOh hell those shootings happen a couple times every day. "A man in upstate New York was charged with murder on Monday in the killing of a woman who was in a car that mistakenly drove into his driveway, officials said. The woman and the three friends she was with never got out of the car on Saturday night, Jeffrey J. Murphy, the Washington County sheriff, said at a news conference. They were turning around after realizing their error when the man, Kevin Monahan, 65, stepped out of his house, in Hebron, N.Y., and fired at least two shots at the car, the sheriff said. One of the bullets struck the woman, Kaylin Gillis, 20," Event The accused lawyer stated "My preliminary view of this case is that it was a series of errors which resulted in a tragedy,” See just a couple of old fashioned errors. Good thing there is a gun by every front door in case a neighbor or a child drops by.

3 pointsWhen you decide that some small percentage of people are not people, but freaks - you start thinking about banning them, arresting them and putting them on boxcars.

3 pointsIt seems likely that serial killers are acts of nature, given history. I want to believe that on a societal level we can do much to lessen the numbers. No, I am not including single act mass murderers. And no, I do not believe transgender biological males should compete against biological females in sports where said females have invested huge portions of their lives to excel competing against biological females. That said, if a female competitor, like your wife or daughter for example, were found to be XY late in life and her competition cycle we should let things play out: humanity before competition, if you will. The reality here is that separating sexes based on genitalia alone isn't answering every important question and, as usual, societal issues are falling well behind scientific understandings.

2 pointsI'm not sure that's entirely true. But they have no use for a freedom that they don't desire, or for anything that might conceivably make one of them uncomfortable or embarrassed. Wendy P.

2 pointsYou are a caricature. A beer company acknowledges that trans people exist, a bunch of hateful republicans boycott them and you crow about it like you’ve just won a Nobel prize. Why do you even care?

2 pointsYou can only find "bellwether counties" by retroactively searching election databases to find some to apply.

2 pointsIt almost sounds like you're laughing at the deaths of Ukrainian kids you pretend to be so concerned about...

2 pointsTwo quotes from the same guy....There's either some big swings in the standards he holds people to, or he's just a troll who doesn't like trans ppl.

1 pointYep. And Kamala Harris is a whore. And Daniels is a horseface. And Fiorina: "Look at that face! Would anyone vote for that?" O'Donnell: "disgusting" Tells us all we need to know about conservative's respect for women.

1 pointOh, they believe in personal rights for THEM. Say, to own lots of guns, or to keep tight control of their wives.

1 pointThe judge has installed a Special Master to investigate if FOX abided by the rules of discovery and whether it purposely held back materials. the Special Master can depose anybody he wants and all at FOX's dime. This also likely will not end well for FOX.

1 pointRepublicans are OBSESSED with what other people do in the privacy of their homes. They believe in no personal rights, no privacy, no choice.

1 pointIn the following 2013 article penned by Bruce Smith: https://themountainnewswa.net/2013/02/06/the-hunt-for-db-cooper-who-was-cooper-what-is-known/ He states the following: "Although he had no visible tattoos, scars or distinguishing anatomical features that are known publicly, it is rumored that the FBI knows of a small scar on Cooper’s hand that it has not revealed to the public." He doesn't cite or enumerate a source for the rumor in the article, not sure if he does in his book. But he doesn't mention the Gunther book as the source either. I've been meaning to purchase Bruce's book, perhaps now is the time.

1 pointThey are not freaks of nature, they are acts of nature. That, whether your blindered view of the world will permit you to see or not, means that their condition is as natural as your own. Someday your kids, who will grow up enlightened in spite of your best efforts, will use AI to see what sort of stuff dear old dad used to post online. Then you will pay.

1 pointWhen your point is a definitive "either-or," then it only takes one, right? You have to specify what zero you're using, and if it's not actually zero, then you have to at least think about the people who actually exist who don't fit into your either-or categories. You up for that? Wendy P.

1 pointWell whatever Putin is paying him, it isn't enough since he doesn't even have money to buy his son a new bike...

1 pointWhat issue? The MARD getting pulled/dislodged from of a packed reserve and not getting noticed because a jumper didn't check their gear? The MARD is VERY secure when packed. If the rig is handled poorly enough that it somehow becomes dislodged on the ground, and the jumper DOESN'T do a COMPLETE gear check afterwards, they shouldn't be participating in the sport, IMO. We made this system pin checkable after seeing how creative riggers got with other MARD systems. This is an opportunity to give the jumper peace of mind, and to keep riggers in check. We can only do so much as manufacturers.

1 pointIf they were deserving of this waiver, the clergy would be insisting that part of the penance before the offender could get absolution would be to report their wrongs to authorities (even perhaps through legal counsel) and stand subject to the consequences. Saying a certain number of prayers should never be sufficient.

1 pointDay 26 of 'Shelter in Place': My wife called in from the other room: "Honey? Are you in any pain?" I replied: "No, what kind of pain do you mean?" She said: "Like needles going into your chest. Like someone is using a voodoo doll on you." Me: "No, nothing like that at all" Her: "How about now?"
