That's a good question. My guess would be 'not all that much'. #1 - The Chinese know full well that if they give substantial support to Russia, the 'West' will impose sanctions. They need the west to buy all their stuff. If that gets even slowed down much, the Chinese economy will suffer. #2 - Even if the Chinese sell the Russians a bunch of arms & ammunition (the ammo is currently what's desperately needed), getting it from China into Russia is the easy part. Getting it from the east to the west is harder. Getting it from Moscow to the Ukrainian border is harder. Getting it into Ukraine and to the front is much harder. The Ukrainians have gotten pretty good at destroying the storage areas. The partisans tell them where the Russians are staging stuff and the Ukrainians use that info, along with the HIMARS to destroy the stuff before it reaches the front lines. If the Ukrainians can start to suppress the Russian air defenses, then they can start to use air support to both help their attacks and to further destroy Russian supplies behind the lines. The MiG-29s that are coming will help that, but nobody really knows how much it will help. If the Ukrainians can push the Russians back some, then more of the Russian supply lines become vulnerable. The accurate long range artillery has shown to be vital for this. Fighting on their own territory, with partisan assets providing some really good intelligence on the Russians has also been important. I think that the war will be decided by mid-summer. Probably not 'over', but the outcome will become clear. I think Ukraine is going to prevail. I believe they are going to expel all the Russians from Ukrainian territory, reclaiming all the territory Russia has occupied since 2014. But that isn't certain. We shall see.

In 2012, WY enacted an amendment to state constitution iin effort to thwart ACA, containing the text: "Each competent adult shall have the right to make his or her own health care decisions." And now a judge has blocked the new abortion ban, based on the principle that amendment means what it says: Vox: Thanks, Obama! The hilarious reason why a judge just blocked Wyoming’s abortion ban.

He’s still working the crowd. It’s all about the numbers; consider the management that bases their judgment on a single variable (eg quarterly earnings) instead of making sure there’s some actual substance Someday more people will see the emperor has no clothes Wendy P.

Ironically enough, Woke ideology is singularly humorless. As Gandhi said, "fuck 'em if they can't take a joke." Like most religiously held beliefs, any parody must be accompanied by appropriate emoticons to so indicate, since any attempt at being more absurd is futile. Much of Woke liturgy seems to have been lifted verbatim from humor anthologies. The response to the question of whether the Radio Announcer job application was successful of "N- n- n- no, they di- di- di- didn't hire me 'cause I'm j- j- j- jewish" was not a case of antisemitism. It is unfortunate that much of the efforts of the Woke mob are entirely counterproductive. For example, the effects of Affirmative Action tend to call into question the qualifications of people who actually have paid their dues and are well qualified. Working with Lethal Service equipment, I do not want to be anywhere near a 'Diversity Hire' of any stripe. I have lived long enough to have seen vast improvements in some of the issues that are dear to the hearts of the Woke, and take exception to their misrepresentation. I have worked with and for people from every continent but Antarctica, male and female (there's a difference), straight and gay, and the only criteria that matter are integrity and professional competence. The most patently racist people I know are those who complain the loudest about 'racism' and so forth. The academics who claim it's 'racist' to expect employees to show up on time or know mathematics are viewed as insulting by many of the people to whom they refer who are entirely reliable and mathematically literate. Someone stating Dr. Martin Luther King's standpoint verbatim would be labeled an Oreo or worse. Judging only by the content of one's character? Heresy! Blasphemy! Do we still have problems as a society? Most certainly. Are they accurately characterized by Woke orthodoxy? Not even slightly. Do any of the 'solutions' put forth by the Woke have merit? No more than filling a fire extinguisher with gasoline. I have spent enough time in Socialist Workers' Paradises to be skeptical of solutions implemented by committee. I am also skeptical of those who wish to be on the committee. BSBD, Winsor

House GOP conference chief Elise Stefanik (N.Y.) called the investigation by a county D.A. “the epitome of the weaponizing of the federal government.” Clueless! Republicans found themselves not only denouncing the DA but also defending Trump’s behavior. McCarthy vouched for Trump by saying that the hush money paid to Daniels “was personal money” and that Trump “wasn’t trying to hide” it — claims that are challenged by the available facts. (Fox News host Jesse Watters did McCarthy one better in Trump’s defense, telling viewers: “There’s no proof Trump slept with Stormy. There’s no baby.”) Is there any hope for us when voters elect these morons?

We pulled that out of a box at Himmelsbach's grandson's house. Although finding the original letter to Himmy from "Clara" was the highlight of that trip. Would be neat to have that stamp DNA tested at some point.
