He's right, you know. I mean, no one wants to hear about how there are four dead in Ohio, or be asked to give peace a chance, or be told that war is good for nothing, or listen to a black woman ask for respect, or listen to a certain New Jersey native talk about what being born in the USA means. No one will ever sell songs about imagining peace or about what's goin on or about being drafted after being arrested for littering. Anyone who thinks people will want to listen to such songs is nuts.

Scholz is sitting on a three-legged stool. 1) Germany was in an energy alliance agreement with Russia for years (yank that the people have no energy), 2) Germany had not maintained its GDP Percentage to fund its military (which Scholz just allocated 100 Billion for, and 3) sending his newly backfilled military equipment to Ukraine then drains that military funding allotment requiring another financial backfill. Then add that Germany has THE most laws after WWII about military engagement. He's trying to unravel and maneuver through military financial considerations and laws that do not appear as a declaration of war on Russia. At this time; it seems he's found a corridor to do all three and as you say; it's the start.

But not Elise Stefanik. She see's no comparison to the horror that is Biden's transgressions: "In the case of Vice President Mike Pence, he came forward and proactively reached out and is following the process. In the case of Joe Biden, he has had classified documents going back to his time in the Senate where he started serving before I was born. So this is a long-standing national security threat," Stefanik said. and "Well, let's highlight the difference here in what the consequences have been. You had the FBI raid Mar-a-Lago. You did not see any of that happen for President Joe Biden who illegally did this," Stefanik added. "What also is different is President Trump as president has the right to declassify documents," Stefanik claimed. "So the media should cover the fact that the FBI has been weaponized against President Trump and clearly has covered up for sitting President Joe Biden." The blatant hypocricy of these people is gobsmacking. Horrendous challenges on the world stage, potentially life altering for all alive, staring us all in the eye and these pathetic demagogues can't abstain from being stupidly petty for a single moment. And it's not just in America, it's everywhere. Surely this condition marks the denouement of human civilization.

And with that fine leadership example of criminal Lt. General Michael Flynn.

I used to think it was more likely Cooper died, now less likely. The jump was very survivable if he pulled based on jump data. Hard to imagine he couldn't pull. Possible but not likely. No body was found and you have to move the LZ further South to have him land in the Columbia, the evidence does not support this. It is also hard to imagine Cooper intentionally jumping over a city. If he landed in Lake Merwin or the Lewis the TBAR money gets very hard to explain. So, for Cooper to have died, his body would have to be undiscovered with the chute but the money somehow got moved to the Columbia River and TBAR.. of course that is possible but less likely. Cooper could have landed safely with the money,, if for example,, he paid some random guy for a ride,, the guy gets nervous and tosses the money in the River... or he gave money to a stew and that money ended up in the River.. IMO, the most likely is Cooper landed safely between the Lewis and Battleground and either lost some/all of the money or he gave some to somebody at some point. That money ended up in the Columbia.

Lots of militaries in western nations are struggling to deal with the growing extremist views within their ranks. A problem that isn't going away, as much as leadership appears to be putting their heads in the sand. Likely cause enrolment numbers are down at the same time.

Fly, I agree with your general approach. I wonder sometimes if people just like to argue, or they have too much time on their hands. The bills were found next to a major river, we have all seen the debris from rivers. To say it was planted there, or landed there is really stretching the probability of what is possible. Doesn't mean it is impossible that someone buried it on Tina Bar, or that Cooper landed there, but it is not probable.

Fear. Scholz is afraid of Putin. On a happier note, Germany is sending Leopards and allowing others to do so. There are some pretty strict rules about reselling military equipment. The country of origin has control over where their stuff ends up. So without Germany's approval, Poland or anyone else couldn't send Leopards anywhere. Britain is also sending Challengers. And the US will be sending Abrams. All three will take some time before they actually get deployed, but it's a start.

I would say 'no'. I've watched teams train. They have a really good packer, so they don't use turn rigs. They do a jump, land & hand off their rigs. They go over the video of the jump, get a drink & a bite to eat, dirt dive the next jump, grab their rigs from the packer and make the next jump. They get on every third load*. The one they're on, the one that is taking off when they are first down, then they are on the next one. They're on the ground about 20 minutes between jumps. That can be 10 jumps a day. There was one guy who was on two teams. He'd use a turn rig. Land, hand off the rig, put on the turn rig. Get on the plane. Debrief the previous jump with that team and go over the dive plan on the way up. Land from that jump, wait a load* (each team was on every third load) and go again. He made something like 25 jumps in one day. More than once. He only did that one year. I'm not the worlds fastest packer, and I'm older than I used to be. But I could make every fourth load* on a pretty regular basis. The problem I had is that if I was packing for myself, after 5 or 6 jumps, I was beat. I would usually be on first load, but be done by 3ish. I'd sit down, relax & watch the shenanigans. For you, taking the money you'd spend on a turn rig and putting it towards coaching would be a much better investment. Taking the time between jumps to go over video, think about what went right & wrong and how to do better next jump are important. Hint: I usually did video review first. Then I had 15 minutes or so of packing, and could think about a few things while packing. * - This was at a DZ with an Otter. Loads were turning every 20-25 minutes, about 3 per hour.

It makes one wonder how typical this sort of thing is. People at that level of government have literally thousands of documents (tens of thousands?). A certain percentage are guaranteed to be classified at some level. From what I've read, the Biden situation (and even the Pence) are somewhat routine. People accidently keep stuff they shouldn't. When they find them, they call up NARA, make arrangements to get the stuff returned and life goes on. GWB was a former Director of the CIA. His clearance level was astronomical. Is it possible to believe there wasn't at least ONE document left behind? The Trump situation was different on a number of levels. The sheer amount, the level of classification, where he had them, the fact that he repeatedly refused to return them, the concept that he may well have been planning on selling them, all of that. But, of course, the Trumpettes insist that the situations are EXACTLY the same.

Clearly not that different. Look - if you don’t think these films are too dangerous to show to kids, Disney doesn’t think the films are too dangerous to show to kids, and the films are still on show… what in the fucking shit are you actually whinging about? Seriously, what kind of rampant snowflakery is it that you’ve managed to become offended by Disney showing films that you think should be shown? And you wanna talk about hypocrisy? The entire right wing anti-cancelling culture war is based around the idea that things should be talked about. A University students association decides to bar a holocaust denier? Well why don’t you talk to them and defend your case through argument instead!? As if there was any argument that hasn’t been won a 100 times over at this point. Some venue decides to ban a pro-Confederacy speaker from appearing? Well why don’t you turn up defend your case through argument instead! As if there’s any argument left to win. And now, here’s Disney saying look, some small parts of these films aren’t 100% ok by modern standards but they’re not that bad and it’s more worthwhile talking about the changes in society than hiding them. And that’s not fucking good enough for you all of a sudden! You still find an excuse to bitch and moan and cry about how unfair it is because that’s all the modern right knows how to do these days. There’s literally nothing Disney could do to stop you pretending to be their poor defenceless victim because you’ve decided that they’re on the other side of this so called culture war you’re all so desperate to push. Just get the fuck over it already.

You know, the NEC only requires one GFI per . . . . (just figured I'd be pedantic for, you know, the sake of ensuring everything ends up in this thread.)

I'm OK with Disney making all their movies available to adults - which includes adults who have children. As to what kids watch, that's up to their parents, not Disney.

Guys, most women are physically more vulnerable than most men. And they are more attractive to men. I haven't been mugged or attacked, but it's as much luck as anything. And someone who got into a skid in their car on the ice may start using winter tires or studded tires -- someone who was attacked in their home, in their shower, might well want some additional safety. It's partly emotional, and emotions matter. Yes, better locks (which might not be an option in a rental property) can help. And a gun won't go into the shower, and is, in fact, likely to be seen by an intruder if one comes into the shower. But don't try to rob her experience or her emotions. Wendy P.
