Seen on Twitter: The Republicans finally found an election they can re-do over and over and yet they still can't win.

Killing non combatants is mostly okay as well. Unless you are on the side that loses the war. In which case it is a war crime. Ask Erik Prince. The Blackwater murderers got off.

The only prayer I ever muttered was on jump run; "Please Lord don't let it be me who fucks up."

The universal adoption of ranked-choice voting would enable the viability of candidates outside the two entrenched parties, thus weakening their duopoly.

Western religions seem to have progressed a bit beyond burning heretics at the stake, but blasphemy is still a capital offense in some nations, and I believe a fair number of right wing "Christians" were involved in the Jan 6th insurrection (aka "legitimate political discourse") with bloodshed on their minds .

The only way out of the current mess that does not involve some sort of revolution is actually simple. More of the middle of the road people voting in primaries. The system is not broken it is merely not being used.

When I graduated from college, I owed an amount equivalent to $27,322.96 (inflation-adjusted to 2022 dollars). My starting salary at my first permanent job was double the salary of the job I left to start college. I paid off that loan in 4 years.

But Walker isn't in the "batshit crazy" category like MTG or Gaetz, or a pathological liar like Santos. He is just a guy who's suffered too many blows to the head.

It is good for the country to have a serious, policy driven, conservative political partly. By welcoming crazies, liars, cheats and con-artists, the GOP has shown very clearly over the past several years that is is not capable of being that party.

“I got $500 in 1s. $2,000 in 10s. That was in a paper bag and when I saw it I told 4 stewardesses standing near me that this is worthless and not what I ordered. I gave the girls $1,500 tip after they said they'd not turn it in. They lied!! When I hit the ground I had $300 in my pocket.”

Me: Did the stairs go down all the way like with hydraulic assist or did it just go down a little bit as you went onto them and your weight lowered the stairs? Mac: My weight lowered them just 1 foot. Airflow was strong at 300mph. Me: So they were not all the way down when you were hanging there? Mac: NO!!! Coulda gone down 2-3 feet. Maybe more, not sure. I was very close to the third engine directly above me. Very LOUD.

The sane members of the GOP should make a deal with the Democrats to elect Liz Cheney. Regardless of her policies, they could be assured she would leave the 20 wackjobs hanging out to dry.

I prefer the display on the Atlas which changes automatically from aircraft mode (lots of detail) to freefall mode (thousands and hundreds of feet only - super simple and clear) and then to canopy mode (adds tens of feet) providing an appropriate level of detail for each phase of the jump.

You should be ashamed for dismissing thousands of people ("statistical zero") just because they don't conform to your mistaken right wing ideas about biology.

I asked him to draw a sketch of how he had it attached. He put his leather waist belt through the upper handle of the bag (that the guy is holding) and his belt apparently had two snaps on the buckle, it wasn't stitched, so of course it just snapped off. He says he had an identical belt in the closet at home and when he got home he inspected it and yanked really hard on it and it broke. He said I'm the first person to ask exactly how he secured it to himself.

You sure care a lot about minors having gender reassignment surgery, THAT happens so rarely that it's a 'statistical zero'. Bill beat me to it: There are far, far, faaaaaaaar too many people who insist on making it their business. Usually dressed up in 'protecting the children' bullshit. Helpful hint: More members of the US Congress (both Senators & Representatives) have been caught pulling 'bathroom shenanigans' than trans people. Maybe, if the states wanted to really protect the children, they'd ban those people from bathrooms instead of insisting trans men & women use the 'wrong' one.

Well, I'm not sure I agree with that... Consider the Middle East, and India (been to those -- in India, they even have separate entry lines for men and women where there is the possibility of a patdown, like religious shrines etc) Wendy P.

I have an old friend of mine who has a temperature controlled cellar and a program that runs on a server and sends him emails telling him which bottle to open to hit ideal maturity. We have a closet under the stairs that Amy goes into periodically and says "2015? We should probably drink that one." (Mostly beer, but the wine lives there too.) So we'd be fugitives from justice there.

Hi Wendy, There are a lot of restrooms on this Earth of ours that are just that way.* IMO it is only this country that has these hangups. Jerry Baumchen * I've been in quite a few. Not one iota of a problem. It is sort of like eating with your fork in your left hand. Not wrong, just different.

A single gene (SRY) present on the Y chromosome acts as a signal to set the developmental pathway towards maleness. Presence of this gene starts off the process of virilization. This and other factors result in the sex differences in humans.[9] The cells in females, with two X chromosomes, undergo X-inactivation, in which one of the two X chromosomes is inactivated. The inactivated X chromosome remains within a cell as a Barr body. Answer - male

The amendment also cut $2.6 million from the CDC's budget, the exact amount that had been allocated to the CDC for firearms research the previous year. The message was received loud and clear. It's like a school district spending $20K on sex education (in terms of classroom time and teacher salaries.) Then the school board saying "no more teaching kids how to have sex with adults!" - then cutting their budget by exactly $20K. Sure, the board can say "we said NOTHING about sex ed, we're just against pedphilia! Why, do you support pedophilia?!?!?!!" But their intent was clear.

We've talked about this 3-4 years ago so I don't mind repeating myself. I've posted tons of research in this forum from the CDC over the last 15 years wrt to gun violence. The ban wasn't on studying gun violence, it was a ban on the CDC either promoting or advocating against gun control. Some may say that this had a chilling effect on the amount of research, but what it really did was expose/limit the amount of any bias in such research.

Thats just b.s. That is the current Kremlin line to shift the blame onto the dead victims who can't defend themselves. That school is in the middle of occupied territory and Ukrainian intelligence likely had satellite info and info from locals as well. So blaming the troops is a convenient coverup for command who housed them all in a single location on top of a ammo bunker. The next Kremlin line will be that the conscripts cell phone calls set off the ammo. As the conscripts convoy was driving past. So the drunken generals back in Moscow had no personal liability for the fiasco at all. Right Slim King?

If that means "no one really cares any more because everyone is a little different" then that's a win.
