And about those tax returns. . . In addition to very very dubious charitable contributions claimed, we now have absolute proof that he was bare-faced lying when he said he couldn't release his returns due to being audited (which itself was a lie). The IRS failed to do its job and audit his returns for at least two years. The power of the presidency comes with immense potential for corruption. We need to know exactly where presidents get their income, to whom they owe money, and all the details of their finances.

It's nothing to do with sleeping well. The state should not be in the business of killing its citizens - period.

Not nearly as often as children die accidentally from gun play.

A link from a related story stated that the life expectancy in Panama is now a year longer than for Americans. But they don't have open carry in Panama. So there! Besides if you live longer Washington just taxes you longer.(A popular FOX talking point) Its Christmas and your thread is far too negative. Look, Americans live six years longer than Russians on average. Reports on FOX suggest that up to 10k new immigrants are flooding across the southern border daily. So as soon as a new census can be held. The US will pass Panama because those immigrants and children are young. They also mostly don't feel the need for those dangerous carry permits.

“It is said to be a deterrent. I cannot agree. There have been murders since the beginning of time, and we shall go on looking for deterrents until the end of time. I have come to the conclusion that executions solve nothing, and are only an antiquated relic of a primitive desire for revenge which takes the easy way and hands over responsibility for revenge to other people.” - Albert Pierrepoint, Official Executioner in the UK During his career as Official Executioner, Pierrepoint was responsible for between 420 and 550 hangings including several Nazis after Nuremberg. The son and nephew of hangmen, he spent a large number of years engaged in the business and came to the above view after having to hang a regular who came into his pub. The man knew who Pierrepoint was, and what he did (it was an open secret) and yet still went on to commit murder.

The US and others are scouring the world to replenish ex-soviet caliber munitions. Some countries are restarting production of these soviet calibers in western countries. I've heard reports from Russian solders that platoons, regiments have been destroyed and they have yet to see a Ukrainian soldier. The attacks on Russian command centers has led to the point. Where Russian troops have not heard or seen a commander for weeks. Where Russians don't know where they are. Don't know where they are going and haven't seen resupply for days. Its good and appropriate for the US to send more ammo. According to average Russians on the street its Americans who attacked Russia in Ukraine. They know this because RT, President Putin and Tucker Carlson have said this. Well Tucker Carlson said that the US was concealing bio-weapons labs in Ukraine. Those labs were designed to attack Russia. Thankfully they didn't name Canada as attacking Russia.

Of course Zelensky was going home with another arms commitment. This is interesting. Included in the package are: 45,000 152MM artillery rounds, 20,000 122MM artillery rounds, 50,000 122MM Grad rockets, and 100,000 125MM Tank rounds. That's all Soviet stuff that works for Ukraine. It's also a damn lot of it. Biden is definitely making it happen.

Sentencing decision, yes. Original jury found the defendant guilty but deadlocked on the penalty so we got it. The legal standard may be reasonable doubt, but sitting in that jury room making a decision of that gravity there needed to be no doubt at all for any of us to go home and sleep well.

I've used the small stick-on mirror provided with the Viso altimeter for years and like it. I don't have to rely on any aircraft I'm in for a mirror and I don't have to bother anyone to check the indicator light. As for checking my own gear - in this case camera gear - being a distraction, I disagree. I see it as being the same as checking my handles, harness connections, altimeter reading, etc. If checking an indicator light is too much of a distraction for a jumper to stay safe they should leave the camera on the ground.

We shouldn't have for profit prisons either. More financial reasons than legal reasons seems to lead their thinking. Even some State guidelines on incarceration are odd. Unless it's been changed, Ii Florida, if you're taken to jail, you will stay there for a minimum of 48 hours in order for the county to receive State funds for the cost of housing you. This simple rule has cost people their jobs, which can create a cascade of financial disaster for them.
