Not a chance. The rig is 23 years old. The OP stated it was purchased at a storage unit auction, most likely meaning it has been exposed to extreme heat, humidity and all around nasty conditions. The main risers aren't even the right brand. It may not even be airworthy after all that is fixed.. Given the cost of the parts, materials, and labor to replace the housings, guide rings, risers, and who knows what else, it simply wouldn't be cost effective. Good, airworthy containers can often be had for a few hundred bucks. Why would someone pay that much or more to get this relic up to speed - maybe?

Chaucer and Roberts both still fail to recognize that Rataczak said the call to Soderlind was in the suburbs of Portland.. that call was minutes after Cooper jumped and Soderlind was listening and taking notes which confirms the 8:10-12 estimated jump time.. Rataczak said he made the "mark your shrimp boat" transmission right away, the call to Soderlind was delayed.. the radio gap was before 8:13 so the transmission must have been prior. That indicates the jump zone timing was accurate.. Cooper did not jump over the Columbia River or south of it. The attempt to move the jump zone South to fit TBAR has no merit, no facts or evidence.. Logic and reason only work when you get the facts right.

I believe suspect Jack Bryant Coffelt lived in Hawaii at the end of his life and I think died there circa 1975 time frame. I think I remember the 302s discussing that and maybe even talking to his widow out there, but my memory is pretty fuzzy at the moment.

I recall that yes - there was a fair amount of information about tracking a man seen boarding a plane to Alaska. Edit to correct - Oops - should have said Hawaii not Alaska.

True, but Musk seems to have a Midas touch there. SpaceX was built on a dream of colonizing Mars. If that isn't a passion project I am not sure what would be, but I agree with what I think is the thrust of your argument that space exploration is more about "things" and less about "people" vs a social media company, and working with people passion can make things go sideways in a hurry. It may not matter how good a product twitter turns out to be if too many users / potential users are turned off by his behavior / poor decisions.

Hannity puzzled over where the rumors of a Red Wave originated. So WaPo explains it to him. ;-)

I can feel your inner confusions. The evangelical commandments may help: Soon another false idol will be waived of all present, past and future sins. Ron DeSanctimonous will become the chosen one and he has already claimed divine status.

Pffft. "Tithed" is 10%. I spent a LOT more than 10% of my income jumping. Also gladly.

The GOP had it's chance to take care of Trump during the impeachment vote. They declined. They deserve him.

Democrats, Independents, anyone who would honestly undermine any democratic institution or process in the furtherance of Christian values. To be clear, I am not saying it makes them any worse than the hypocritical rest of us; we all have our agendas. I am not saying that Christians are inherently evil or even bad, not at all. What I am claiming is that if democracy falters or fails in America Christianity will be a cause. What I am saying is that complete belief in a supreme being whose apocalyptic return is nigh and hoped, and is considered to be the highest authority in the cosmos, is at direct odds with the fundamental precepts of democracy.

He's only said it two times in two different threads which only earns one "troll" status. I "think" blatant troll status is when one hits three times in three different threads.

Sad, sad news. I have known Cathy, and her brother Ed, since they first started jumping at Skydive Tampa Bay. She was a truly unique adventure girl. We made a night jump together when she was eight months pregnant with Myriah. This is just so hard to believe.

I read the book. Are you sure those were skydiving adventures?
