I like it. If English had any rules, it would make sense.

I got to agree with BH on that one. When liberals loose their agendas, we end up with legal interracial marriage, the right to buy birth control, the right for gay people to marry, the right of slaves to be free, the right of women to say "no" to rape when their husbands try it, the right of women to vote, the right to drink alcohol etc. When conservatives loose theirs, women lose the right to control their own bodies - and hundreds of thousands of Americans die of a preventable disease. That question often makes conservatives sad, so in general they ignore it. Or they claim that Biden somehow raised prices on gasoline in Costa Rica. Those contortions are fun to watch,

Checked FOX News just for fun. Not the top story. Not in the top five stories. You can't even find it when the page first loads. You have to scroll down towards the bottom, in a list of news stories that include: Fauci's pension will pay him more than Biden's annual salary 'JAILS ARE UNNECESSARY': Biden judicial nominee on board of prison 'abolitionist' group Dem-run city hit by criminal justice 'earthquake' under new DA, activist says Chris Christie hammers liberal bail reform in NY, says attack could 'catapult' Zeldin to victory BLANK 'FACE': 'Jeopardy!' fans erupt after contestants miss Taylor Swift clue And people wonder why FOX News viewers are consistently the least-informed viewers out there.

Hi Winsor, Back in '64, a friend and I went to a movie theater & watched Dr. Strangelove. We were the only two in the theater laughing. Jerry Baumchen

Thank you for confirming that you have no interest in actually bettering the United States, you just want liberals to lose, at all costs. Let me guess, you call yourself a patriot.

The folks who had been "operators" of the DZ are no longer in the picture . However LONG Time airport OWNER and Original DZO John King, Still owns the place, Still calls the shots, Still has a dedicated following of certain staff members and Fun Jumpers. The airport has always Been and Still IS a DZ.. J.King simply stayed busy with Other things, and "subbed Out" the Running of the skydiving part to others... Word through the grapevine IS of the Likelihood that a C206 will soon offer the opportunity once again , for jumpers to Enjoy the Great views and Good Vibes of a Skydiving Venue with 40+ years of Parachuting History. Of all the awful Republicans in government Hawley must be close to the top of the shit list just because you really strongly get the feeling that he knows better. MTG says evil and insane things because she’s insane, Lindsay Graham does because he’s a craven kiss ass who’s terrified of falling out with the big kids. Trump does it because he’s a pure narcissist powered on by a mix of ADHD and prescription drug side effects… Josh Hawley does it purely because he’s a cynical, manipulative rat bastard who’s calculated it as the best path to power. It’s heart warming to know that forever being the ‘leader’ who ran away will be an almost insurmountable obstacle in the way of any higher office than the one he has now.

Interesting that this Gene Bland has both the front reserves as training dummies, and one intact and the other canopy both left on the plane. As for... ...(attaching the reserve container to the leg strap attachments) that is entirely possible. These days most leg straps just have thread through friction adapters which would not allow that, but in those days I think most rigs, especially pilot rigs, had B-12 snaps on the leg straps that have the 'V' ring mentioned. Those V-rings aren't that big, I questioned whether two clips would fit on one, but I happen to have an old rig with B-12's on it in my closet, so I pulled it out and indeed you can fit two clips on one. That would put the reserve container below your crotch, across your thighs, but if you had the money bag tied to your chest that might just be the best fit. Hmmm... Good to see you on here, Nick, but it wracks me with guilt. As much grief as I gave 'the other guy' about it, I got otherwise occupied and that other task got left undone. I'll have to get on that... As for the Lyle Camerons, I think you said you talked with Jr.? Super nice guy. ------- I think this came up before, too. There's no way a P.C. would be in that coupon book, skydiving is just not mainstream enough for a company like that. But that is just the sort of thing a skydiver would make a joke about.

Well, not just an injured party. Anyone can sue, similar to how the anti-abortion laws in Texas are written. Why is that a problem? People can sue the magazine manufacturer, the ammunition manufacturer, or the person that sold either one. Simple. Unlike abortion (just ban it, the problem goes away) or CRT (just ban it) or math textbooks that aren't politically correct (just ban them.) Not sure why you think suing magazine manufacturers is complex or puzzling compared to any of that. Turn it into a profit stream. Have amateur sleuths out there digging for info on high capacity magazines. Ten grand pays for a lot of sleuthing. And for a criminal who knows another criminal who has a high capacity magazine - turning him in is going to be a lot easier than robbing that liquor store.

Nah. Religion is the tool you use to wield the power. The deity, God(s), the construct that people are willing to suffer for because it will deliver them salvation, provides the power. Look at it from a different angle. Money (God) is power. The belief in the "American Dream" (religion) is what allows one to wield the power that makes people suffer voluntarily.

From an old manual if you are still unsure. Really, one can stuff the pilot chute in just about anywhere it fits on top of the bag. Mushroom it, or fold it neatly, whatever. Just has to be clear (not jammed in between the bag and container when it is open), and the base has to be near the corner with the pud, so the pud can pull the pin without having to move the pilot chute (so it doesn't jam when the container is closed). Something about not being pretty but it works. Not sure if it grandfathers you to pull at 2k. :-) I used to use a Racer with a pullout.

The existence of dark matter/dark energy comes to mind. I think a greater risk is that existing science (i.e. vaccines, space flight, the round-earth "theory", climate change, statistics) will be increasingly seen as poorly informed speculation for political reasons.

Like what, for example? Its surprising how long established a lot of our ‘facts’ are. While almost nothing is ever finished, the fundamentals generally stay solid and it’s fine detail being added. The stuff we’re just speculating about is not marketed as ‘fact’. Think about it, Newton’s Mechanics from the 1600’s aren’t laughed off today. Darwin’s Species from the 1800s aren’t laughed off. Einstein’s Relativity in the prewar 1900s isn’t laughed off. Heck, even before the formalisation of the scientific method there was solid knowledge being generated. 2200 years ago someone calculate the circumference of the earth to within a couple of percent just using a map, a couple of shadows and a measuring stick. That’s not something to be laughed off.

That is why I think DeSantis is even more dangerous than Trump. He is just as vile, but not as goat-fuck stupid as Trump.

In years past republicans considered how to help other republicans do a good job, govern, pass laws that favor them etc. Today republicans consider only how to hurt the most democrats and democratic causes. When you drill down into any of their strategies, that's all there is to them. If Trump will hurt trans people/women/science/blacks then they support him.
