2 pointsAt this point I need the Mods to come clean and admit the truth - Brent is on the DZ.com payroll to drive engagement and generate traffic. There's no other explanation for the amount of clickbaity, substance-less threads being churned out by a single poster almost daily...

1 pointThose 4 points would have ZERO effect on prices in the short term. Any 'new lands opening for exploration and drilling' would take several years before production starts. Not sure how something that would take years to implement would have any effect on gas prices today. But then again, I don't understand any of the crap he posts. It's pretty clear he doesn't either. He just posts shit to get a reaction.

1 pointI think you are thinking about this the wrong way; Time he spends watching TV, is time he isn't posting on here. To me that is a big plus!
-
1 pointThen stop watching Morning Joe EVERY SINGLE DAY. I've watched some clips on news blogs but have never once watched a whole show. You can do it. Seriously.

1 pointWhat are the 4 items? The premise of the article is that crude makes up 56% of the price at the pump. However we have already established that crude isn't at all time highs. Your answer to that conundrum yesterday was that it was all due to refinery capacity, though you couldn't quite articulate how that all worked. Today you are back to indicating the problem is the price of crude. Other than just blindly blaming Biden, you have absolutely zero grasp on the actual issues. The one thing I will agree with you is that the Republicans will win in the mid-term and you have been perfectly able to demonstrate why. Edited to add: Do you really think the "American Petroleum Institute" is interested in lowering the price of crude?
-
1 pointDo what? That "article" says there are 4 items Biden could do, but then only lists 1. And, that one really won't have any impact on prices today. Did you read any of it? Do you know what a rhetorical question is?

1 pointBald Mountain not mentioned.. The tattered pants found 25 feet up in a tree were found at Green Mountain, ruled not linked to Cooper.

1 pointMy astigmatism isn't that bad, only -2.75 sph on my worst eye, but I found it was better to jump with a full face, and either use my regular prescription lenses or sunglasses, or my contacts and cheap sunglasses like shady rays. Full face helmets tend to press the frames pretty tightly to your temples, and they don't shift much at all. Have you looking it whether you are a candidate for ortho-k. They are hard contacts that you wear over night and they give you a temporary physical correction to your vision that last for the next 24 hours.

1 pointInteresting twist in the tale. Article 16 of the agreement between the UK and Rwanda obligates the UK to take an equivalent number of vulnerable Rwandan refugees back to the UK in exchange for the deportees. No decrease in the number of refugees entering the UK, just a refugee exchange program that's going to cost UK taxpayers millions of pounds.

1 pointToo low to meet demand. 3000' down the hill from my office window is Oregon State Hwy 211. It's a view I've had for decades. From my perch I can see no lessening in traffic volume that can be attributed to anything including gas prices. I needed to wait in line to gas up this week. Big 4X4's towing sand buggies were lined up going through the McDonalds double lane drive through next to the gas station. Were it not for the incessant need of some folks to score political points 5 buck gas, cheap by world standards, wouldn't be an issue.

1 pointThat's exactly what I was implying, but didn't want to accuse. Seems to me that somebody dropped a dime to the Po-Po and they came a looking. How many time have we seen this play out before... There was no random picking out of a crowd. This guy was targeted for a reason (rightly or wrongly) and the medical was the vehicle used to crush him. IMO.

1 pointI logged back in today just to catch up after a couple of months, saw this and it looks like today's the day for you. Had a right TKR Last week, They're doing things a bit different than just a couple of years ago. The "new & improved' TKR's are built more like a skid plate (see attachments). Had to go to a class about two weeks before the surgery to learn what to expect and what I needed to do to make it successful. They had a book of pre-op exercises - one should do those. Joe calls it "pre-hab." They're not hard and are more akin to stretching than exercise. We favor the knee, so our muscles atrophy a bit and we need to wake them back up, You'll need to bring a list of meds, surgeries and adverse reactions/allergies to the class. No Alcohol - you'll be on opioids for a few days, so duh. We're going to have you up and walking around after the surgery, the same day [OK. it's good to have goals]. From start to finish; the surgery is 30-55 minutes from incision to closing (there's robotics involved). About the same amount of time as a colonoscopy. There's no staples or stiches to close. They use a medical type of zip-tie to close it and when you go back for the doctor's post-op; he just releases the zip-tie. When you wake up in recovery; you won't have that narcotic funk feeling, they'll hover over you for about an hour and then, "You ready to go for a walk?" [OK. it's good to have goals]. "How far are we going?" "However far you think you can go." I did three laps around the ortho center. Little something to eat. Little something to drink. "You ready to go for a walk?" "How far are we going?" "You need six laps total to leave." Done. Spend the night. Go to in-home rehab the next morning to learn the exercises you need to do before the formal PT. Then, they start the exiting process and you're out the door. [they haven't had a DVT in six years - it's the walking] Doc calls a couple of days later to check on you. 'How long before I can ride the Harley again?" You can hear the facepalm thru the phone. Long story short: 1) Nothing this group of socially-disconnected competitive misfits hasn't gone thru or can't go thru, and 2) six days later - no pain. Just a dull ache and still swollen.

1 pointI'm following this because I had a TPF (tibial plateau fracture) about 20 years ago and was told I'd need an artificial knee in about 5 years. I'm long over due but not in any discomfort and don't take any medications. Turning 70 in January with about 3600 jumps. Maybe 1500 jumps on the fracture and no sign, in the future of a new knee, yet. I was told by one of my doctors, after the last of 5 operations, that if I didn't gain any weight, didn't run or smoked and drank moderately, his handiwork might last 20+ years. 3 out of 4 ain't bad.....

1 pointI replaced my Left Knee in April 2016 - I was jumping by June and doing tandems by July - It was sore, and originally hard to bend fully, but I rehabbed that mother like no tomorrow. I replaced my Right Knee in December and didn't jump until March or April. It stayed stiff until this month. I rehabbed it hard this time too, but I'm older 65+ so the time to heal was a lot slower. My surgeon brags to his patients I have 1600 jumps on my new left knee.

1 pointI had knee surgery 6 years ago. My knee started dis-locating 5 years afteer an airplane crash. Doctors diagnosed me with three torn ligaments in my left knee. Since they could not repair my posterior cruxiate ligament, they re-aligned the top of my tibia. In the months leading up to surgery, I did plenty of half-hour hikes to build up my leg muscles and stamina. Unfortunately, I could not afford physio-therapy, so my healing process was considerably delayed. Since knee surgery, I did another 300 tandem jumps, then retired from skydiving.
