So F'n what? Too many people are deluded boneheads for us to use their judgement for a standard. Jeez, even people who should know better, like you for example, blame everything from inflation to busted condoms on Biden. We live in a global economy. Things like wars in the bread basket of Europe that prevent tens of millions of tons of wheat, edible oils etc. from entering the world market, the world being at best on the tail end of a global pandemic that disrupted economies around the world, aging populations, low birth rates, brain dead, racist, refusals to let able workers join our economy and on and on and on are the real causes of our economic disruption. But you just go on with your narrative.

The problem with that is that it's "Innocent until proven guilty in a court of law." Trump and his spawn have done a very good job avoiding that 'court of law' thingy. Bribes to Attorneys General, District Attorneys making the charges 'go away', when the prosecutors have pretty solid cases, that sort of thing.

January 6th is pretty simple. The sitting president violated his oath of office by not defending the Constitution from domestic enemies. To watch on TV and do nothing should earn him a cell in a federal prison.

That is basically the situation that will need to prevail before real change happens. When the elites feel threatened enough the 2nd will be scrapped or re-interpreted. I have said this at least a couple times in this forum.

If that were published in Canada, it would be Trudeau's Liberals using tax-payer money to pay for printing, TV ads, radio ads, newspaper ads, internet ads, etc. to remind voters of what a great job their elected officials are doing. Since I know that they are trying to deceive or distract me, I immediately change the radio station. I have developed an allergy to "feel good" statements by politicians, lawyers, palliative care nurses, etc. of all shapes, sizes and colors. I already know that they are trying to distract or deflect me, I just have not figured out what is today's bias, so I quickly change the radio station.

Hi Doug, Thank you for that well-reasoned reply. Re: are instead isolated angry young men that got to this terrible tipping point over time. I think this is exactly what is going on. And, that is why I say that this is NOT a mental health issue. This whole 'mental health issue' is just another way for both parties to not have to deal with the real issues; one being the easy access to guns. IMO we simply have to take away these guns that, in truth, are weapons of war. Jerry Baumchen

I wonder if all of the USSC judges had to live in undergound bunkers. With massive security armed up the ying-yang. Just to keep them alive from all the armed nuts running around. If they'd change their minds about guns and the constitution. Nah, silly idea.

To quote Trump himself..."You see the mob takes the Fifth," he said during one rally in Iowa. "If you're innocent, why are you taking the Fifth Amendment?"

Hi John, And, I continue to say, 'The American electorate is uninformed & prefers to stay that way.' A damn sorry state of affairs. Jerry Baumchen
