Money buys a foreign abortion, with very tightly shut lips. The real crime in America is not to have enough money to flout whatever law you find inconvenient. Wendy P.

Alito has stated recently that it is an issue that needs to be legislated. Okay -- we need to have a massive overhaul of the US Congress so that the proposed legislation to codify the essence of Roe gets voted on and passed. Federal law would supersede any of these horrible state restrictions, and we could stop having this nonsense discussion. Edited to add: and when I say "overhaul," I mean everyone get out and vote for congressional candidates who would support bodily autonomy.

Let's just hope the Democrats find some spine and learn how to dominate the news cycle and that translates into votes.

Biden - and all the democratic senators and representatives up for election this cycle - thank Alito from the bottoms of their hearts. With only 27% of Americans supporting its overturn, democrats will have a potent new meme to use to show what can happen when you let conservatives have their way.

Yes, they want 'smaller government'. They ALSO claim that Jesus is their Lord and Savior, that by "accepting Jesus" they are "Saved". And then they proceed to basically shit all over every single one of the teachings of Christ. Isn't that testimony given under oath? Isn't lying under oath perjury? Isn't that a crime?

Hi Jerry, No. They mention in the story that the 'cop attacker' claimed that the cop tried to provoke him. That: Funny how the cameras caught all of his assault, but none of what this asshole claimed the real cop did. It doesn't say exactly how long the jury deliberated, but it wasn't very long. It didn't need to be. Again from the story:

The reaction to the 1619 project is an example of suppression of history.

Hi Bill, No, I do not. What we really need is some GOP senator's granddaughter to get knocked up by her long-gone boyfriend. Preferably, by a boyfriend of a different race. Jerry Baumchen

Until that is banned. You really they will stop with this ruling?

They only want less government when they think that they are on the wrong side of the intersection between government and the general public. Less government when it inconveniences them, more government when it impacts others; it doesn't matter that they are experiencing minor inconveniences, while they cheer on the government seriously impacting the lives of others. The building inspector and quasi government HOA are a bunch of assholes to these people, so is the IRS, and ATF. But they would celebrate more police, more prisons, and apparently now a vagina swat team.

In plain language, the conservatives think the authority to decide whether to continue a pregnancy must be removed from the victim of rape or incest (even if a minor) who will have to bear the child, and that authority given to an uninvolved majority free to impose its moral choices on her. And these are the people who otherwise want less government intrusion in our lives.

Dear jakee, Warfare is never as simple or as pretty as portrayed in the history books. History books are written by the victors. One of the reasons that victors need so many decades - to write memoirs - is that a fireplace can only burn so many embarrassing documents per hour. Hah! Hah!

He's not only an elected official and professional skydiver, his family owns and operates a large DZ in my region. Personally, I like Luke and Andy, but if they really did willfully disregard a written denial from the FAA it is unforgivable and the consequences should be severe and supported by USPA.

Odd that you're so fearful of an EV bus fire, yet you're almost orgasmic over the dumpster fire Trump had going in the White House.

Maybe he was thinking, well, Mike got away scott free and Chuck thinks I'm brilliant and that it's a cool stunt and they always say go big or go home and if anyone at the FAA or anywhere else doesn't like it they can go screw themselves. I was rooting for them to succeed. For certain they had more than enough talent to pull it off if they'd only done the airplane bit properly. However, blowing off the FAA is not forgivable. Blowing off the FAA while being a USPA official is both selfish and dumb. Whatever the FAA will do is beyond control. That said, Luke should resign immediately and, in the hope of regaining some lost credibility, he should depart with an official, scathing, rebuke from the USPA.

This is NOT a political forum. There is to be no discussion of the political situation in Ukraine. We have a whole forum (Speaker’s Corner) for that, with threads conveniently titled things like “Ukraine.” Wendy P.

Under you can't make this shit up, in my Group Member feed USPA is offering a seminar in Crisis Management. I totally snorted tea on my keyboard seeing that.

Circling back to your earlier observations, it now seems apparent that there is a difference between home schooling and university when it comes to engineering.

Could be. On the other hand you really have to shout out Ed Scott who was first to theorize that fewer USPA Officials would result in fewer embarrassments for USPA Members.

Now come on. At some point both incidents will make it to the Museum Committee and they will look at the issues long and hard before they decide whether to put them in the museum or not.

I'm thinking this matter has already been taken up by the USPA Broom and Rug Committee for eventual referral to the BOD Member Hall of Fame Committee. Hard on Luke, sure, but if you're Mike or Sherrie life's bright, shining light just got a little softer.

I might have missed a post discussing this: Great video here: - I don't know who this dude is, but I love his presentation. Summary: 2 skydivers plan to put their individual planes in a dive, exit, and then transfer to to the other plane then recovering it. Cool stunt - IF they can pull it off. But there are always those pesky legalities. CFR 91.105 - 'Be at the crewmember station unless the absence is necessary to perform duties in connection with the operation of the aircraft'. CFR 91.13 - 'No person may operate an aircraft in a careless or reckless manner so as to endanger the life or property of another.' The team did SPECIFICALLY apply to the FAA for a waiver to 91.105 and were rejected. They did the stunt anyway and it went to shit, ending with one plane crashing into the desert. Unsurprisingly the FAA isn't particularly happy. And this is just the latest in social media stunts involving skydiving developed to garner 'likes' from a platform. See the recent Trevor Jacobs episode as an example Personally I hope all involved lose all their licenses. Skydiving really doesn't need additional FAA scrutiny over what we do for video....
