At the risk of "tl:dr" To me it's about short term vs long term decisions when they're exercised on long term systems. In the short run, more money and opportunity are good, but looking at the long term, one should consider the longer term consequences. Just because something feels good or works now doesn't mean it always will. Just because there's technology to address the problems caused by short term decisions doesn't mean they're the best. When you're poor, hungry, or cold, those are the best ones. But the US as a country and people on this forum are none of those. I see care of one's own body as a pretty good parallel to the planet and environment. One has to live in the present, but should color those decisions with the real consequences. In the case of the body, health care is expensive and not as good as being healthy in the first place. In the case of the planet, not taking the maximum "benefit" now means fewer costly remediations (air conditioning, air scrubbing, health effects from, pollution, mass migration for climate effects). You don't appear think those things matter or don't happen, I do. I think your 3 measures are not the right ones if taken context-free; the fact that people aren't dying as much in the US particularly right now is in part due to better food technology (at the cost of animal safety and health, and the introduction of huge and increasing amounts of pesticides and fertilizers and hormones into our bodies and our children's bodies). It's also due to better communication about storms and the like, as well as "intrusive, expensive, and unnecessary" building standards to stand up to flooding and hurricanes. Wars and migration in other parts of the world are partly driven by climate causes; hunger, loss of farmland due to drought, and population growth beyond the carrying capacity of some locations. Now have fun "skewering me" and making fun of me. I've given you the respect of taking your post honestly and seriously. Wendy P.

Keep in mind who you are asking for evidence.

I'm thinking this matter has already been taken up by the USPA Broom and Rug Committee for eventual referral to the BOD Member Hall of Fame Committee. Hard on Luke, sure, but if you're Mike or Sherrie life's bright, shining light just got a little softer.

I might have missed a post discussing this: Great video here: - I don't know who this dude is, but I love his presentation. Summary: 2 skydivers plan to put their individual planes in a dive, exit, and then transfer to to the other plane then recovering it. Cool stunt - IF they can pull it off. But there are always those pesky legalities. CFR 91.105 - 'Be at the crewmember station unless the absence is necessary to perform duties in connection with the operation of the aircraft'. CFR 91.13 - 'No person may operate an aircraft in a careless or reckless manner so as to endanger the life or property of another.' The team did SPECIFICALLY apply to the FAA for a waiver to 91.105 and were rejected. They did the stunt anyway and it went to shit, ending with one plane crashing into the desert. Unsurprisingly the FAA isn't particularly happy. And this is just the latest in social media stunts involving skydiving developed to garner 'likes' from a platform. See the recent Trevor Jacobs episode as an example Personally I hope all involved lose all their licenses. Skydiving really doesn't need additional FAA scrutiny over what we do for video....

All of the actual studies that have been done on the topic have confirmed that Twitter amplifies conservative voices over progressive ones. The idea that conservatives are "censored" on the platform has always been a fiction.

Oh, I think everyone else gets it. If you’d like, I can explain Wendy P.

Thank you...I saw a neurosurgeon and he referred me to the orthotic unit. They fitted me with a carbon fibre brace like this.....I did five jumps last weekend without any landing problems....but nil wind landings are a no-no from now on........I can live with that.

Hi Chuck, Re: the verb, not the title Yet, you used it not as a verb but as a noun. Re: If you think he's foolish, so be it. I would prefer that you not put words into my mouth. Re: You guys can pee on the parade all you want. I am definitely not trying to do that. Andy & Luke are very gifted skydivers with an insane amount of experience. I think that if anyone can pull this off, these two can. I wish them well. I just do not like the term 'engineer' being tossed around willy nilly. Some of us worked very hard for that title. Well, don't want to sound like an ass but you are the one that made a decision to buy and use a fully stowless bag that was not approved by the manufacturer of your container. You should take responsibility for making informed decision when buying stuff. The fact that he blocked you on Facebook is a different story... Every time I packed a fully stowless bag I thought it was a very bad idea

Aftermarket stuff not purchased from rig manufacturers = no go for me (I'm just a roboot who does exactly what my rigger says). I bet I can do all my line stows faster than you can coil your stowless lines :) :)
