4 pointsLol, do you not know what that makes you sound like? "Why good sir, you have not taken the time to personally reply to all 800 individual points in this list I copied and pasted from someone's blog? Then I declare victory!"

3 pointsI could get that tomorrow by taking a loan against my house, in about 20 minutes. The idea that you think that means corruption is laughable. It tells me you get all your material from right wing media, and repost it without ever learning about the underlying issues.

2 pointsHi John, Biden cares about this country. Trump cares about himself. Jerry Baumchen

2 pointsFrom that list I see where you get your logic from. Just a bunch of statements, but no discussion on why that statement matters or how it correlates to the "problem". Since this is the Ukraine war threat, let's tie the two issues together. Imagine if you can harvest energy in space and then beam it to earth to be used. "Unlimited" renewable energy without issues like clouds or darkness.

2 pointsYup. This thread is on page two already in less than a day. Another success in trollville.

2 pointsI can distinctly remember wondering how a guy just knew that he was going to ejaculate into a woman, and not pee. My heath teacher had a day when she’d ask each of us to write a question we were too embarrassed to ask out loud, and she’d answer them all. This was even done in split sessions (boys and girls), to even more increase the chance of honest questions. Even at the time, I thought that was good. Wendy P.

1 pointHi Bill, Re: you are asking why grade school math books use cartoons? They've been using them for 50 years to better engage with students. They use them because they work; studies have shown that visual material often keeps kid's attention for longer Reminds me of how they had to present the President's Daily Briefing during the Trump admin. Jerry Baumchen

1 pointI do note that most conservatives are quite staunchly anti-large-government - unless that government is banning things that they don't like, like gay marriage, interracial marriage, certain books, abortion or studies of structural racism in America. Then government can't be big or powerful enough.

1 pointI think the scholarships are a great idea. I have a feeling direct payments will backfire.

1 pointThe military did a lot of R&D on solar during the Iraq & Afghanistan conflicts. Those environments had a lot of available sun, and small, portable solar power made a lot of sense. There was a story talking about it, and one of the more interesting points was that a gallon of gas or diesel cost somewhere in the neighborhood of $500 once it made it all the way to a forward base due to the transport costs. If they could use solar to recharge batteries for radios, GPS, NVG, etc instead of generators, they could save a lot of both money and lives

1 pointIf I was castaway on an uninhabited island, and I had my choice of companions: a) MTG. b) "Wilson" the volleyball. I would be forced to choose "b", just for the more intelligent conversation.

1 pointWe agreed to do it again to get the legs ironed out. I'd honestly rather be good than pass just to pass.

1 pointHow do you know the FAA didn’t get this wrong? This is the same FAA that just allowed skydiving from a plane over the US Capital without telling anyone. There could have been mixed or miss communication. Have you heard Red Bull, or Luke’s side of the story? amazing that skydivers, of all people, could be so dumb to just assume what they read in the paper is true.

1 pointI can't wrap my head around the right wing celebrating Musk's potential takeover of Twitter as a triumph of free speech and the 1st amendment, even though the 1st Amendment never applied to Twitter. As well as, celebrating a state government punishing a company for expressing an opinion, which to me is a clear violation of the 1st Amendment. Another example of the right really having no interest in the constitution or freedom or anything of that nature. All they care about is power for themselves and punishing those who are either not like them, or do not like them.

1 pointI agree this is a potential solution. The problem is that too many people would just toss it; I realize this is an issue with “free stuff,” but it’s also partly a problem with our hybrid system. With charges more easily hidden under private pay schemes, this seems to happen more here. It’s possible in national health countries, just less profitable, and so less common. Saying that the fact that people who toss their EOB’s shouldn’t get free health care is also short-sighted. Is the cost of maintenance less than the cost of replacement/major repair? Generally. And health care done right is, in fact, maintenance. But right now sometimes it’s like we tell people “yeah, keep your cars in good repair — but the garage is 50 miles away.” Hard to keep your job when it’s a day off work at each end, and you need the car for work, too. Same with your body. Wendy P.

1 pointYup. Overthinking it. Funny thing - Old school static line jumpers started from 4500' or so. First full altitude jump, the though going through my mind was 'Wow!! It's so high!!!" These days, AFF students on their first H&P - 'Wow!!! It's so low!!'

1 pointIf Elon could set aside his twitta-mania. He should buy FOX and begin reprogramming its viewers like Murdoch did with republicans. Soon its meme loving, science hating, logic intolerant, viewers will all be buying Teslas.

1 pointI have heard a rumour that not every meme posted on the interwebs contains accurate information.

1 pointIn what way did Obama try to stay in office illegally? In what way did Obama's cronies try to overthrow the election so that Hilary would take office instead of Trump (despite her winning the popular vote)? In what way is Obama's involvement similar to Trump? Obama stayed out of the limelight for almost the entire time Trump was in office. Last week was the first time (in well over a year of Biden's admin) that he showed up at the White House. And that was to promote health insurance (you know, the thing the Rs like to call "Obamacare"). As usual, the 'bothsiderism' is disgusting.

1 pointHow much he is worth seems to depend very strongly on whether he is trying to get a loan or to avoid paying taxes. In February 2015, Trump said he would release tax returns if he ran for president. On another occasion that month, he declared: "I have no objection to certainly showing tax returns." Trump announced his candidacy for president in June 2015. Of course, he had lied about releasing his returns. He is the only president in 50 years who didn't make a disclosure.

1 pointHow very sad, what a GREAT person, rigger, jumper and friend. We worked together for a couple of years at National Parachute. Test jumps, design refinement, PIA booths, rigging and lots of fun too. She was a truly liberated woman, long before the “activism” became fashionable. She was the “balance” in the Herd, (if that was even possible). ;(
