Joe was merely insistent that other NATO members meet an ideal, common target of spending. Not calculating that politicians in other countries set different priorities on the threats they face.. That they have constituents that rank defense as a low priority concern. That regardless of what those defense ministers say or represent in NATO meetings. That they will be overruled by political party leadership, in spending committees. That as political parties come and go in NATO members. Each will have different defense spending objectives. IMO Joe fails to recognize that NATO itself is seldom called to meet article 5 provisions. That the only time it was was for the defense of the US. Even though Ukraine is not a NATO member. NATO has taken a leadership position in the threats to its sovereignty. While I agree with Joe to a large extent. It should also be pointed out that the US spent $2.313 trillion in Afghanistan. Yet so far only spent $13.6 billion in Ukraine. I agree with Joe because Russia is a bigger threat to common security than what the Taliban ever was.

On the plus side, the GOP is proving that there WAS voter fraud!

It is, and it is good in my opinion too. Because if you think through all those things when it’s not an emergency, you’ll have less thinking to do when it is — you’ll already have eliminated some bad ideas, or figured some things out. And it gives you a chance to ask your instructor questions about some of the scenarios you imagine Wendy P.

If it isn't going to be at least a double, why bother?

Resurrection A large group of Russian soldiers in the border area in 2022 are moving down a road when they hear a voice call from behind a small hill: "One Ukrainian soldier is better than ten Russian". The Russian commander quickly orders 10 of his best men over the hill where Upon a gun-battle breaks out and continues for a few minutes, then silence. The voice once again calls out: "One Ukraine is better than one hundred Russians." Furious, the Russian commander sends his next best 100 troops over the hill and instantly a huge gun fight commences. After 10 minutes of battle, again Silence. The calm Ukrainian voice calls out again: "One Ukraine is better than one thousand Russians: The enraged Russian commander musters 1000 fighters and sends them to the other side of the hill. Rifle fire, machine guns, grenades, rockets and cannon fire ring out as a terrible battle is fought... Then silence. Eventually one badly wounded Russian fighter crawls back over the hill and with his dying words tells his commander, "Don't send any more men...it's a trap. There's two of them."

Roseanne was not fired for being a Trump supporter. That did annoy many people, but she was fired for making racist tweets.

?? Sounds like a governor using his political power to force companies to bow to his will - basically to choose winners and losers according to a political litmus test. Isn't that what the right wing has been opposing for decades? Let's look at this in a different perspective. Suppose Biden withdraws the child tax credit for anyone who publicly criticizes his presidency. You OK with that? Is that a joke? I am 99% sure you are just purposely misunderstanding, because the right has been fighting "cancel culture" for years. You yourself have complained about it - and it would surely be odd for you to be railing against something you don't understand. But just in case you really, honestly don't know, it's the mass withdrawal of support for a person or organization, done to support a political agenda. They hope to bankrupt Disney by organizing mass boycotts.

A bit pedantic, but it was "Uncle Remus" in Song of the South. Funny thing. Black people were often referred to as "Uncle" and "Aunt" (you know, like "Aunt Jemimah) because little kids never addressed adults by their first name, but to address black people as 'Mr' or 'Mrs' or 'Miss' would confer too much respectability.

I haven't been on here for awhile and am sad to see Tom pass. Our paths first crossed up in NE when he was a tandem master. The world and the sport lost one of the best people that there ever was. it seems a lot of the world's young fit athletes are dropping like flies these days.

You still don't get it, do you? If someone asks you to call them by a different name, gender, species or whatever, then it's simple fucking decency to do it, because doing it doesn't change your life in ANY way whatsoever. If a guy called Jake comes up to you and says 'hey dude, I'd like you to call me Sally from now on' and you say 'no, I'M going to decide what to call you', can't you see how that would make you a complete asshole? It's nothing to do with delusion, and everything to do with you not getting to decide something like this for other people that doesn't affect you and isn't your responsibility.
