I lost a friend yesterday; her health wasn’t great, but this was not expected. We last saw each other last summer, and chatted on FB periodically. I’m really glad that I knew her, and I’m totally going to miss her wry, sarcastic, irreverent, sense of humor. I’m also glad that I did take that side trip, and that I did take the time to check in periodically — there aren’t any “oh I wish,” just sadness at the loss of value in my life. Value your friends, and tell them about it. They’re worth it. Fly free, PL Wendy P.

It has never made any sense to me how teeth and eyes are somehow not part of the human body for the purposes of insurance.

The big difference is that in Nixon's case the congressional GOP chose not to be complicit.

At a Trump rally? I bet she got a standing ovation. Trump rallies look more and more like Borat skits these days.

Same here. I suggest using a large-handled knife (like the Ripper) and placing the pocket on the front of the thigh on your strong-arm side.

Done. Starting April 1st as long as you are fully 2 dose vaccinated you no longer need to be tested. Welcome back.

Joe will be upset that Trudeau had to agree to national dental care in order to get support for increased military spending.

Once you get over your national fascination with chest thumping and loud bleating perhaps you will change your spending priorities to be more in line with the rest of the civilized world. In the meantime I would advise you not to hold your breath waiting for us to follow you down the path of letting weapons manufacturers buy your government. And we will try our best not to openly laugh in your faces for your folly.

Damn! And Nixon took all that flack over a missing 18 minutes. WaPo: Jan. 6 White House logs given to House show 7-hour gap in Trump calls

It is a lot ridiculous that an economic system which puts such a low value on the (necessary) jobs of those 100M has developed. The average voter knows that, which is why the GOP have had to resort to gaming the system so they are able to gain a disproportionately large share of power from fewer voters.

So Biden wants to raise taxes on billionaires, while Sen. Rick Scott (R, FL) wants to raise taxes on the poor and sunset Social Security. In a nutshell this illustrates where the GOP's interests really lie, despite lame attempts to disavow.

Not yet. Your reply was elliptical but I accept your intention was to agree more of less. One thing you might consider is that the American taxpayer, all of whom are Americans, have been guaranteeing your freedoms for quite some time. Now, at least for me, I'd be appreciative if Canada doubled their defense spending for awhile even at the expense of some of those "perks". Then maybe we could have some perks. That would be nice.

If you consider that instead of rusting away. Perhaps 10% of them will end up into the side of a Russian armored vehicle. Perhaps NATO should be paying Ukraine a commission for each successful deployment.

Ripper knife handles are made of cheap plastic that distorts and allows lines, etc. to get trapped between blades. You would be wiser to buy the stiffer knives with fiberglass or metal handles. See the CANPARA article on hook knives that I wrote back in 1984.

These knives are great! Made of a SINGLE piece of steel (meaning, blade is NOT a seperate piece). Big one: Small one: I have both models. Bigger one under mud flap, smaller one under front leg strap cover (above the legstrap hardware). One high, one low. One on the right, one on the left. Just in case one of your arms is broken, or you cannot reach high or low in a canopy wrap. See below:

Perhaps. But in the age of unlimited Russian lies and barbarity. Its refreshing to hear some straight talking. I'd have called for a Russian patriot to do whats necessary.

IMO Brent can start as many threads as he wants. His responses in his Global Warming threads was and still is trolling.Probably hard core trolling. But with respect to other threads he has started and participated in, not so. Or at least limited. winsor has single-handily kept woke on the go but he is not a troll. I find his endless response to that issue tiresome. But its others here that have enjoyed such discourse. I give Brent an endless hard time and as long as he is demonstrating some basis in fact. Some basis in reasonable thought behind his engagement. I'd say its discourse. Its a mistake to confuse tiresome right wing ideologues with trolling.
