In summary, Republicans who support Trump are nothing more than Putin's pawns or as Vladimir Lenin is credited with saying, useful idiots.

“Mr Putin we are establishing a buffer zone to reduce the chance of an accidental engagement between NATO and Russia.” It is naive to believe Putin needs a legitimate reason for escalation. After all, he justified the invasion as a quest to denazify the jewish leadership of Ukraine

I assumed she was on her way out of the country. But no, she was arrested on her way into the country. I mean, you travel to Russia now, you are taking your chances.

Russia has already said that today. They said any nation involved with maintaining any no-fly zone would be seen as an active participant in the war. Which is what I said from the beginning, any no-fly zone will draw NATO into the conflict completely. Any other ideas are naïve.

Because more capable systems are also more complex and would require lots of training. Ukranian units have only previously operated older Buk systems, so things like Patriot batteries and other anti-aircraft systems are a whole different world to that. But man-portable missiles like Stingers are designed to be easy to operate and require little training.

The real question here is "did you look good in them?" :)

Ken is correct, it would be a declaration of war. SkyDekker is correct that it would require a massive number of ground troops. MetalSlug is also correct - you cannot have air support without a host country and how many are willing to do that right now. A hundred mile no-fly zone would not work from the outcrops of another country and is an effort in futility. The British learned in the American Revolution that you can't fight from the seaports. We learned that in Vietnam and again in Afghanistan. Setting up a no-fly zone over the Ukraine would take hundreds of aircraft. With that comes a symphony of support for maintenance, fuel (think air fueling), a/c weapons, personnel, AWACS, etc. Joe, you know the support a/c requires, now multiply that by hundreds of a/c. Now, add in the number of Air Defense to protect those hundreds of aircraft plus defense against the Russian SAMs (artillery) and the personnel to operate it, then add in the number of support personnel for the air defense. A secondary defense for a no-fly zone people are grunts. By then, we're in it. Bottom line: We're either in it or not. If we're not going to be actively in it, then we might as well just donate money to AirBnB and watch what happens on CNN.

I don't think the Russians would make a distinction between Polish AA weapons & personnel inside Ukraine, or missiles fired from Poland at Russian aircraft over Ukrainian airspace. If such an engagement occurs, Poland would be in a de-facto state of war with Russia, probably not something they want.

Hi folks, Blinken goes all opitimestic: Ukraine war: Ukraine can absolutely win against Russia - Blinken - BBC News While I'll believe it when I see it, I do hope that he is right: US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has told the BBC that he is convinced Ukraine can win its war with Russia. With this outlook, I say we should give Ukraine anything that they want. Jerry Baumchen

The citizens want to fight. ~44 million people (minus those that have left), if only 5% took up arms that would be a formidable force. They could harass the heck out of the ground forces, take out the ground mobile equipment and some of the aircraft. Any deterrent gives Putin a big problem and more time for the sanctions to work. At some point the billionaires may decide to act against Putin.

Airplanes in the sky is the same as boots on the ground and would actively bring NATO into the conflict. Can you explain to me how you see a European response as separate from a NATO response?
  16. 1 point
In the absence of a bold and initial European response beginning soon, or some outlier event, it seems likely that Ukraine is lost. So far they don't even want to provide air cover much less ground troops.

The primary source of water in the oil is combustion. You should know this. HC (hydrocarbons - gas) + O2 = CO2 & H2O. If the motor is run to full temp, the water gets boiled out of the oil and it's fine. Lots of short trips, especially in colder weather, put a fair amount of water into the oil. Ever pulled the dipstick or the fill cap and seen 'chocolate mousse'? That's the condensation build up (or a major problem like a blown head gasket, but that has other, really obvious symptoms). Running the car for at least 30 minutes (and driving it, not just letting it sit and idle) will get it up to temp and take care of the water. That's why people who store cars over the winter shouldn't start the car up until they are ready to take it out on the road. Some folks think it should be started every couple of weeks and idled for a few minutes. That does more harm than good. I've got a couple cars and a motorcycle. The newer car runs synthetic oil. Published 10k mile interval. Since that car only sees about 5k miles per year, it gets changed every other year. The other cars run conventional oil (dino or dinosaur oil). They generally get the oil changed in the fall, right before they get put away for winter. Same with the motorcycle. They may or may not see enough miles to reach 'change interval, but that's ok. The oil (and filter) build up a decent amount of acids and other 'bad things' that I don't like to leave in the motor while it sits over winter.

So that's how it is, If you want to keep everything on this thread only about the travel visa workers, then why not erase every irrelevant posts? I was just answering to Chuckakers, as he asked me several questions in his post, " I assume your comments are just intended to take a jab at USPA since the organization has nothing to do with immigration law or enforcement. (statement#1 regarding my post) BTW, if you are witnessing TI's busting the new tandem BSR's or any other BSR busts and are concerned about it, why not voice your concerns to the S&TA and/or the Regional Director? (question #1) Not saying you are doing this but as I see it, if a person knows of true busts and talks crap about a lack of enforcement without reporting it, they are part of the problem. " (general statement) Chuckaker's post is also irrelevant to travel visa workers and yet you, MR.Moderator, kept his post. He asked me questions and I answered his questions, and yet his questions still remain on the thread and yet my answers keeps disappearing. so I will answer again... to answer Chuckakers statement #1 "I assume your comments are just intended to take a jab at USPA since the organization has nothing to do with immigration law or enforcement." My answer to Chuckakers: I wasn't taking a jab at USPA, the poster #1 Swoopfly brought it up, with his question, " Does USPA care or do they see it as not their problem as they may have the "rating", even tho they are illegally working? just curious on thoughts, i see it at every dz?" Since swoopfly brought up the USPA's authority, I said they can't even enforce their own rule. How are USPA going to enforce INS's rule. and chuckakers's question #1 "BTW, if you are witnessing TI's busting the new tandem BSR's or any other BSR busts and are concerned about it, why not voice your concerns to the S&TA and/or the Regional Director?" I answered it with my past experience dealing with the USPA. . If you are gonna erase it, erase chuck's post as well, since I end up looking like a retard for not being able to come back with the answers. Tell me, Mr.Moderator, How can I answer his question while keeping the post relevant to travel visa workers? Bernie Sanders for President 2016
