7 pointsLet's be honest, for you it really won't matter what he says. Like most republicans you don't stand for anything anymore, all you know is you are against anything the Democrats do.

6 pointsThose are buzz words, not policy. Don't believe me, here are some simple questions you will not be able to answer: When were the borders secure? At what illegal immigration level and smuggling level would you consider the border secure? Energy independence or just not importing oil? What taxation rate is low? Where would income come from? Trickle down economics has constantly been shown to be ineffective. Low regulation is not what Republicans want. What they want is only to regulate other people. Republcians are very busy regulating what women can do with their bodies, regulating what gay children can and cannot do, including what their parents can and cannot do. Republicans are trying to ban books. Texas town passed a resolution to replace "hello" with "heaveno". You don't want low regulation, you want regulation on everything but white Christian men. Pro-police? January 6th shows that to be bullshit as well. Pro-immigration? What does that mean? More topless models on genius visas, followed by "chain migration"? Focus on the individual vs identity/group? So no need to honour the flag, or veterans? Taking a knee during the anthem no longer an issue? Those are all issues that relate to focusing on identity/group over individual. School choice? Do you mean that schools should be forced to teach that maybe god really did create earth, a Christian god of course? Like I said, buzz words. Republicans have nothing but buzz words.

5 pointsBest way to achieve that is: 1) Crash program to move us to EV's for private and commercial transportation 2) Accelerate buildout of solar/wind to provide charging power 3) Start construction of nuclear plants for baseload in every location that large hydro cannot perform that function That will: 1) dramatically reduce gas prices (by reducing demand) 2) provide true energy independence that is not dependent on always finding new oil sources 3) allow us to become an oil exporter to balance our trade deficit

2 pointsThe man has a speech impediment. He's advanced to the pinnacle in a career that requires constant public and private speaking and, for him personally I dare say, a fair degree of humility. Neither you nor any others here can claim to know what mental work arounds Biden need must use constantly to keep from stuttering or running over his own words. Nor can you know the pressure of controlling your disability while giving a speech as impactful as the State of the Union Address. Now maybe it's just a little too woke for you to give him any benefit of doubt but if he were my dad or kid or friend I'd be damn proud of him. As my President I'm double damn proud of him. There is much to pick on him for, why not go there instead?

2 pointsPersonally I never listen to stuff like that. I'm far too impatient. Just write up the highlights for me and I'll read them the next day. No matter who or what nation.

2 pointsHi Cliff, Re: Some old two pin rigs could have square reserves, with freebags allowing through-loops. To the best of my knowledge, I am the first person ever to develop a packing method so this could be done. Remember, at that time ParaFlite provided the free bags with their square reserve canopies. And, those free bags did not have any grommets for thru loops. At that time, I was building sport rigs with a 2-pin reserve container. After thinking & thinking about it; Voila, the lite came on. On the top face & the bottom face of the free bag I sewed a piece of Type 12, about 8" long. I then installed two grommets thru those two pieces of Type 12, four grommets in total. This allowed for a thru loop. I then developed a packing procedure for this configuration. I did three drop tests, timing each test per the TSO standard. I then sent the test reports, drawings of the mod to the free bag, and the packing instructions that I had developed, to ParaFlite, asking for approval for this alteration. About 2-3 weeks later, they sent me a nice letter approving my request. I no longer have any information on all of this; including, no info on the packing procedure. I wish I still did. At one time, PD had the packing procedure, that I developed, in their packing manual. Jerry Baumchen

2 pointsTo be punctual, you should have provided it a few posts ago. That's the real problem with you young people, everything can wait and there's always time.

1 pointIt had 4 risers and was setup by Jim for the safety Flyer reserve. The loop did not come from the bottom of the container.

1 pointBiden has been committing wordos (that's really the word equivalent of a typo -- I said so) since roughly forever. I'm sure if he'd said "whatchamacallit" there'd've been a hue and cry as well. As opposed to us, perfectly-spoken and perfectly-thought-out that we are. Wendy P.

1 pointIf Drumpf had been POTUS when Russia invaded Ukraine, he would have asked Putin if he would also like to have East Germany back.

1 pointAll that are Nato flagged, yes, we just send replacements. This: https://www.bbc.com/news/live/world-europe-60542877 Neighboring countries need to get their attack jets into Ukrainian pilot hands to hammer this now. If there isn't time then send their own pilots. Most are flying Mig-29's etc so it isn't a huge drama. They can do it.

1 pointI don't really understand the budgetary argument here. Western inaction in Ukraine isn't because we think the combined armies of Nato are not strong enough or well equipped enough to repel Russian forces in Ukraine. Of course they are, several times over. The issue is that Russia is one of the world's biggest nuclear powers and Putin has spent many years cultivating the appearance of being belligerent enough to consider using them for real. No amount of extra military spending in Europe is going to change that.

1 pointDear Brenthutch, You are wandering off topic. Biden inherited a mess of an unwinnable war in Afghanistan, so he completed Trump's plan to withdraw all American troops from that Graveyard of Empires. Please do yourself a favor and review history to determine how many foreign empires have been able to conquer Afghanistan????????????????????

1 pointBigun's frustrations with this war is equal to many who understand what war means. SC deals mainly with politics and "War is the continuation of politics by other means.". Is likely the most famous concept of the link between Realpolitik and naked aggression. I abhor the idea of sending young people in harms way for useless political ideals. I'd agree you're on point for the anti-Americanism voiced by SkyDekker on occasion. I could point out that "On December 5, 1994 the leaders of Ukraine, Russia, Britain and the United States signed a memorandum to provide Ukraine with security assurances in connection with its accession to the NPT as a non-nuclear weapon state" Whereby Ukraine gave up about 1700 nuclear weapons together with the delivery systems to place those weapons in every capital of the world. But that's moot. With the exceptions of the Baltic states. Nobody has done more to defend Ukraine in the latest aggression from Russia than the US. By supplying it with lethal aid. Needless to say Russia would never have invaded Ukraine in 2014 had they possessed those 1700 warheads. Furthermore the UK has been noticeably absent from its signing obligations attached to the Budapest Memorandum.

1 pointWay to shift the limelight, big boy. General Hodges proposed this three years ago at CEPA. You're late to the party and it's a little late now. Except that history is abound with failure when deterrence was used as a strategy. You fight like a girl. Sincerely, Rambo

1 pointThe exact quote was: I will live in Montana. And I will marry a round American woman and raise rabbits, and she will cook them for me. And I will have a pickup truck... maybe even a "recreational vehicle." And drive from state to state. Do they let you do that?
