4 pointsFor the most part, I only see BH's posts in the quotes of people replying to him...Fucking classic BH that he's explaining Canadian politics to 3 Canadians!

3 pointsSorry, your request for insurrection has been denied. You only purchased the non-profit volunteer membership organization revolution package. You will need to upgrade to the Federal Aviation Administration package to change the cloud regulations through an uprising.
-
3 pointsLike I said earlier. When Americans give their opinion of Trudeau you can tell right away if they are FOX viewers.

3 pointsThat's hilarious. In 2001 I sneaked a sweet Twin Otter out of Medellin, Colombia using the same trick. It needed to be US registered for the insurance so I set it up that way. Rio Negros Airport is huge so it was a long taxi to the requested runway, not the active, and then an unusually long run up while the Columbian markings were wiped away. And here I thought I was being original.

2 pointsNot true Joe. Anyone here will tell you I've moved more to the center over the last few years. I am however, still a product of my age and the way I was raised by my WWII vet father.

2 pointsCool that the democratic party tolerates and encourages dissent and independent thought instead of crushing it.

1 pointDear base jumping community! I'm a basejumper from Ukraine. We've probably met on some exits, or during some awesome jumping events all over the world. I'm calling out to you because basejumpers(well, most of them anyway) are those types that have their critical thinking tuned in and understand what shit is real and what is not. russian fascists are into a full scale invasion of Ukraine, and since their "brilliant" blitzkrieg has failed, they are now onto casual warfare, with air raids, shelling, ballistic and cruise missiles that target everything, including civilian population. It's fucking genocide. Lots of pics and video online. Problem is, russian population is drowned in propaganda, and is cut off from any reliable source of actual information. More than that, they just don't want to believe. So, only direct actions that affect them will brake the spell and force their brains to start critical thinking. So, I am asking you, the community, to deny all access to basejumping events, transport to exit points, and any and all assistance for basejumps to russians. The whole world is already denying everything to them, even FAI and the skydiving community is issuing a total ban for them. I'm not even mentioning casual sports which threw russians out of every international sport league and event there is. BD (no blue sky over Ukraine, only black death) Sincerely yours, on break (rotation) from the front line, base # 1506

1 pointThat "freedom convoy" of trucks from California looks like it's sort of falling apart. From a news release: ============== In what was meant to be similar to the trucker protests in Ottawa, Canada, several groups organized convoys to drive to Washington, D.C., to protest pandemic restrictions and fuel prices, among other things. The convoys are expected to be in D.C. on March 5. However, as of Sunday, one of the groups has pulled out of the trek—Freedom Convoy USA 2022—due to a lack of participants. The group announced their removal from the cross-country mission to D.C. on Sunday morning via Facebook: "The launch in California had a good turn out of supporters, but only 5 trucks were with us on arrival in Vegas." ============== Not sure where they started in CA, but LA to Vegas is about 5 hours. So it's not like they grew weary and thought they weren't going to make it. I have a feeling it has more to do with looking back at their two-mile-long convoy of trucks protesting the injustice of masks and vaccinations, then hearing about the 40 mile long convoy of tanks pouring into Ukraine to destroy their country and kill the people in their military. And realizing that their truck convoy sounds sort of whiny in comparison.

1 pointIf you think Trudeau is a strongman.....I am not even sure how one would finish that sentence. The premise itself is so laughable.
-
1 pointNope, it wasn't. Did NASA say "brent was right, the more sophisticated models get, the more they diverge from reality!" As usual you'll provide a quote from them that says something completely different, so I won't wait around. Stop hanging on NASA's coattails. Their reputation and credibility will never rub off on you and your misinterpretations.

1 pointThanks Rob, that's closer to what I was wondering. 250 in 4 day's is big. 56 in a few hours with no Tanks lost by the attackers, if that's true, has to be huge.

1 pointGood analysis of the reasons for invasion here: It's a 30 minute watch, but it covers some interesting and broad topics that don't make the news in the US.

1 pointThey're all supposed to have 60 day's of consumption in reserve. That gets them to May, rationing further. We go mad rush to produce all we can, same with Canada, Norway and the Brits. We send a nice note to OPEC mentioning that timing is everything and this time we will not F'n forget who stood by and who stood with us. We accept that burning fossil fuels is less of an issue than burning cities for the time being.

1 pointI just had my retirement request approved. Come Dec 1, I'll be joining the club!

1 pointI understand. In this case, I have lived it and seen it for too long. People are getting killed while we shake our finger. The only way to deal with a charging bear is with a large caliber weapon.

1 pointStill nothing transmitting ADS-B over Ukraine, but I learned if you snoop around you can find KC-135's orbiting over Romania:

1 pointI don't think so. You have a great set up for slider up (and generally all) BASE. The reason to get a slider up specific rig would be to reduce weight and size, not to improve performance. You already have the smallest/lightest general purpose setup on the market though, so I'm not sure you'll really gain much in terms of weight and size by going to a slider up specific rig. The same is true of spectra lines. They aren't going to make your openings any better--they're just going to reduce pack volume. They'll make the canopy fly marginally better, but even the highest performance BASE canopies are basically boats, so I don't know that you'll notice much difference. I have spent a lot of time under a pair of Atair Visions, one with spectra and one with Dacron lines, and if you put me under one of them without me knowing which one it was, I don't think I'd be able to tell the difference from the flight characteristics. And that's the the highest performance general purpose BASE canopy ever made. I do think the ZP is worthwhile, but mostly as the canopy ages. If you're looking at buying a new rig for a slider up trip, it's going to increase the pack volume, and probably isn't worth the extra expenditure on a new rig. I also vastly prefer the loop style brake settings, but I can easily change out the brake settings on my Apex canopies, so that's not a big deal to me either.
