Like Sarah Palin, right? Wendy P.

Or until nobody responds to them.

In my opinion you already had at least one POTUS who was totally clueless. Having one a heartbeat away and only appearing to be clueless is a large improvement for the USA. You should be celebrating like you won a World Championship in a competition that only took place in the US!

And there are lots of people claiming Palin was selected only because she was female. You agreed she was incompetent. Yet, your reaction has been completely different.

Can you link me to a post where you were upset about the gender identity politics of Palin's selection? I mean, it quite possibly cost your side the election. You must have been pretty upset about it. Should be easy to find.

There it is - the dumbest thing you'll read all year.

Trump claims army 'took over airports' in 1775 Is that due to ethnicity and gender too, or is that only when a female POC does it? "I am not a racist, I have a black friend"

Bruce Kramer (BASE #509) passed away in his sleep last Friday. See below for visitation and funeral details. Bruce was my best friend and we jumped together around the world since the early 1990's. His accuracy was second to none and he was always there if you needed help (ie. chopping a tree down in a National Park with an axe for an hour to get Joe Caulfield's canopy down). He is survived by his son, 18-year old Lucas Kramer, as well as his parents (Donna and Big Dan) and a sister (Tara). My favorite Bruce story goes way back to 1998 during the IPBC BASE jumping competition in Moab, Utah. Bruce, Dave Shipman, Joe Weber, and I just met, so we decided to come together as "Team Body Bag" for this event. We were all new to BASE competitions and we never expected to do well at the event, especially with BASE legends like Harry Parker, Dennis McGlynn, and those damn "Spiders from Mars" leading the way. We were extremely shocked to be sitting in 1st place with only one jumper left to seal the deal and secure extreme glory for our team. That last last jumper was Bruce. We were already the "dream team" that no one ever heard of and Bruce simply had to jump, open, and land near the target. Bruce was better at accuracy than everyone on the team, so Team Body Bag was already figuring out how we would celebrate this most glorious win. Then Bruce jumped, snapped a brake line, and nearly slammed into Tombstone wall after a 180. In his words, Bruce's "cat-like reflexes" allowed him to stay alive and not scrape the wall. Bruce landed far from the target unhurt, dropping our dream team into 3rd place. Glory was lost. Bruce and I laughed about our 3rd place position for decades, joking about all the Red Bull sponsorships, TV gigs, and millions of dollars that we almost had. Visitation: Saturday, February 26, 2022 from 3-5pm at Barkes, Weaver, & Glick Funeral Home located at 1029 Washington Street, Columbus, IN 47201 (Directions) Funeral Service: To immediately follow the visitation from 5-6pm Reception: To immediately follow the funeral from 6pm-?. This location is three blocks South at Breedan Inc., 700 Washington Street, Columbus, IN. (Directions) In lieu of flowers, Donna Kramer (Bruce's mom) is requesting that everyone bring pictures of Bruce to the service, or make a donation to Bruce's son Lucas Stafford Kramer. I'll try to update this post with more info soon. There will be an opportunity for everyone to share any memorable BASE 509 stories at the funeral and celebrate his amazing life. Leave a message for Bruce and his family. If anyone is wondering, I spoke with Bruce for more than an hour recently and he told me to not be sad when he's gone. He was in and out of the hospital due to heart issues. He acknowledged that he led an amazing life. 13GRAND_0001_Bruce_Kramer_rockstar.tif

Get F'n over it, Brent. You know damn well she was the price of admission. That said she's not a fool or an idiot. She's an accomplished professional with genuine credentials. But you, in all of your own glory, just carry on sitting in judgement.

Since rap and hip-hop came into fashion after I reached adulthood, I have difficulty relating to them. My version of "angry young man music" ended with Bob Seger. At one point I was dating a music professor and described rap as "just another genre of angry young man music." That did not go over well with her!!!!!! OTOH as an historian, I try to identify long-term cycles of weather, crop-failures, politics, warfare, art and music. If you live long enough, you will see waves in many aspects of society.,

Well that’s kind of cute. But for some reason no one thought it was important to give those any foundation in law. Unlike the right to own slaves!

That is a straight up lie. Have you already forgotten how you started this thread?

I didn't know Bruce but really appreciated your tribute and pictures. Sounds like a good friend and wonderful person. My condolences...

This has always been the crux of the criticism for JR - yes he brings on "both sides" as guests, but he does so completely uncritically. Bringing on an Astronaut and a Flat-Earther and giving them both a platform and equal airtime with no pushback or accountability lends credibility where it doesn't belong.

Hubris is abandoning your allies/friends because you're strong enough not to need them this year. It's kind of like showing your superiority by treating wait staff like shit -- they say far more about you than they do about the worthiness of your friends of help We might ought to consider whom we ally with, but if we should ever need help, we'll need friends, and not just the temporary good nature of the current local bully. Pause and re-read it. Cause what I read is that Joe Rogan can tell you what to think. I'll give you my opinion of Rogan. He started talking one day and a couple of people heard what he said, so he started to say it louder and those two begat two more, who begat four, who begat eight until one day he had a Limbaugh type following not because what he said was right, but because it was popular. And then, some dumbass sees this and says, "I'm gonna give Rogan a 150 million dollar contract," not because he's right, but because he's popular, which only validates Rogan to himself and so he gets louder. Hmmm.. maybe he can tell you what to think.

thank you. I'm certainly not upset. I just have no need for an app to do this. I've sorted out my own processes in the past 40+ years. Be well. Craig

Old discussion for sure. I'm going to go with the possible two out and save the cutaway decision for later.

The earpieces have a splitter (earphone plug) so relatively easy to connect to phone or direct to GoPro / Insta360 (I record direct to the GoPro so its not a lot of editing work to sync conversations later)

And once again you hold up the Fox News caricature of CRT and use that as evidence that CRT is comparable to the Klan. America was built around slavery Racist practices were built into the laws of the nation until ridiculously recently. The affects of those laws with respect to the ability of affected communities to build generational wealth are still highly evident today. Understanding that history might help kids put the things they observe into a better context. Contrary to what Tucker tells you, the point isn’t to make white people feel bad about themselves or place blame for the current situation, just add some context. Oh, the horrors that poor little Ethan might have to drive by the ghetto and do more than wonder why those people can’t just pull themselves up by their bootstraps.

I am glad I live in a world where I work with women who "invent a lot of shit." A quick list of women I've worked with patents on: Clara Chi 9 patents Linda Irish 52 patents Gini Keating 40 patents Blythe Towal 24 patents Saura Naderi 1 patent Natalie DePratt 1 patent And of course anyone who uses a cellphone today relies on the patent that Hedy Lamarr got for spread-spectrum communication 80 years ago. I wonder if Joe would be shocked that a woman - an actress at that! - invented the technology that he communicates on today. I have a feeling he'd take the approach that several of Hedy's male acquaintances took - that some guy must have invented it for her, then put her name on the patent to get in her pants.

Or team training, or getting instruction. Sometimes 3 rigs are needed for team training because you aren't pulling super high and you want to land with your team mates to talk before the turn. Then also, you just might be jumping smaller mains than you'd otherwise prefer. Same if you've hired a freefly coach. Seems they always are flash canopy pilots, too, so if you are turning loads you need to get down fast to look at video you don't yet understand. On the other hand if you are fun jumping blow off the second rig and spend time with your friends. If time is tight between loads hire a packer. You'll be enough money ahead to tip your DZO at the end of the day.
