Kallend made a joke. You reply with "Please. Try that. Thanks." Why? Is what is happening to our nation that funny for you? Get things straight, the right is splitting the republic. The damage done by the election of Trump, his refusal to concede peacefully, his attempted coup by insurrection, his year plus long lie about a stolen election and the inability of people like you and Brent to see that you are not a part of the solution are what is dividing the nation.

We got Biden and Harris. He was going to be who he is, that is not Trump, no one should have wished for more. The miserable fuckers sabotaged his transition in every way possible and didn't stop at that. He's weak, getting pounded, and will likely be a one termer. Even if he would have said "Yeah, I don't like losers either" he might have stuttered "Yeah, I don't like loose stools either" and Brent would have had another opportunity. I wish he was so strong that the damage done to his administration just bounced off but that's not the case. As it is, he's our President not Trump and we should be grateful.

Just pay some red neck to put it on blocks in his yard. Cheaper than land fill fees.

Oh please Professor. And I mean "puhleeeeeeeeeeze". You are (were? I can't remember if you've retired or not) a college professor. You indoctrinate the innocent and naive young minds with your 'liberal elite' brainwashing. You teach these young people how to think for themselves> And to question the status quo. Things like rights for the downtrodden. Protecting the environment. Caring for other people. You (personally) are responsible for the decline and fall of modern civilization. Damnit, we really need a 'sarcasm' font.

On a positive note, the battle against misinformation has taken a couple steps forward. Dan Bongino has been permanently banned by YouTube. He was suspended a couple weeks ago for misinformation, and then tried to get around that ban by using other channels (sock puppets anyone?). So now he's gone forever (at least from there). https://www.reuters.com/business/media-telecom/youtube-permanently-bans-fox-news-host-dan-bongino-2022-01-26/ On a slightly different note, Neil Young has removed all of his material from Spotify. It's in protest over Spotify hosting Joe Rogan's misinformation. https://www.cnn.com/2022/01/26/entertainment/neil-young-spotify/index.html

When a good friend that is in his 50s announces that he is seriously dating a smoking hot 24 year old and, because of that, you think there's something wrong with him.

The DOJ is now investigating the fraudulent electors who sent fraudulent documents to Congress and the National Archives declaring that Trump won the election in their states. One of the charges that can be brought, since they delivered the papers by USPS, is fraud using the US mail -- a 20 year felony. I expect that this will provide leverage leading upstream to the instigators.

How about Anita Hill? (I'd love to claim this as my own idea, but I can't. Saw it on FB)

The one place where I'm torn is single-sex colleges. Because some kids are, in fact, helped by not competing with members of the opposite sex. Gender politics can be a distraction, both to boys and girls. They have to learn to deal with it at some time, I'm in an area with two single-sex colleges nearby (both women's schools). They are part of a consortium that shares classes with three other schools, so there is plenty of opportunity to mingle and take the classes. Until the last 20-30 years, women's colleges were nearly always "lesser" than the men's one; the connections made at the top-tier men's schools were with economic and political power, the ones made at top-tier women's schools were with social power, and by virtue of securing a good marriage. That's changing. I know that I would never have considered a single-sex college when I was looking. I was an excellent match for where I went, but a piece of me wonders if I would have been less automatically deferential (as girls are brought up to be) if I had gone to a women's college. Where I had just as much assumed opportunity for power, and no difference because of my gender. Wendy P.

this is a sensitive subject. Yes after incidents of total malfunction or delay in manually reserve opening found by riggers during reserve packing cycle, Aerodyne has been contacted but denied any issues claiming testing were not done on a regular basis. We noted that malfunctions did happen on recent rigs (two last years) and it looked changes that had been carried out by the manufacturer (in particular on reserve closing flap) which at least affected the certification of the parachute since FAA has not being notified. Due to this situation, we asked French FAA equivalent to carry out tests with an independant and neutral laboratory called DGA (Direction Générale de l'Armement). in november 2021, Aerodyne president Pal Bergan and European representative Herman Landsman were present in Balma (France) to meet the French authorities and to conduct tests. A test protocol was drawn up by DGA and Aerodyne signed it up, means before starting each test , Aerodyne should validate what the rig was compliant (packing method, reserve PC power, type of canopies inside, reserve loop length, mounting of AAD, reserve manual force, etc)..before proceeding with the test in accordance with rules of art, which means parachute well tighten and chest strap, in a human body which fits to dimensions of the harness rigs, in a stand up and laydown position. The first day, we proceed to 17 tests and got 3 failed by manually deployment and 5 total malfunction by firing AAD located underneath the reserve PC, which makes a total of 8 on 17.. I cannot tell you more, since it is still under investigation....
