I've said this before. Here where I live people regularly complain the first nations peoples are given too many advantages for free. I have never once heard anyone say that they would prefer to change places with them though.

I think the thing they REALLY fear is finding themselves in the minority - with the new majority remembering what they did to them. By banning the teaching of the history of racism, they think they can avoid that horrifying outcome.

Be it old white men against woke. The evangelicals against crt. Motivating their entire congregations against it. The white right in America feels under attack by little brown people. They will invent new terms, new outrages to defend their perceived superior personal identities.But the deck is tilting, water pours into the lower holds and their ship is going down. Till then they will steal the lifejackets from the weak. Just as they've done for a thousand years.

I'm actually glad that I learned how to deal with it on my own right away. Next week I'm going to go back to do the second and third jumps. I might do a bit of tunnel time to prepare for freefall truly alone as well. I don't think I've ever wanted anything as much as I want to be a safe and successful skydiver because it really is amazing.

Maybe someone should go back a few pages on this forum and find your post where you mock Bruce for his belief in UFO's and abductions. Maybe we should send that to SUFON. Or should we send it directly to Susan?

And yet (and I've mentioned this before) - the vaccine sucked. It only reduced your odds of getting polio by a factor of 4. The COVID vaccine is better than that. The polio vaccine killed 10 kids and paralyzed 200 when a bad batch got out - again, far worse than the COVID vaccine. And it took TEN YEARS of vaccinations to get new polio infections into the noise. And today kids get four polio vaccines - for a disease that has been 99.9% eradicated. And yet anti-vaxxers are screaming bloody murder that some vaccine schedules now require THREE separate COVID vaccines. For a disease that is causing an active pandemic. No one is claiming that the COVID vaccine is the only way to fight this pandemic. But it is our best and most useful weapon - and giving up on it, while getting your kids vaccinated four times for polio because your pediatrician recommends it, is the height of politically motivated ignorance. Your pediatrician actually knows what they are talking about, despite what Alex Jones, FOX News and Rand Paul says.
