I agree that anyone opposed to abortion should be able to draw a real line in the sand. Zero means zero and some requires specific boundaries. If someone is unable to specifically describe those boundaries or their boundaries are changing that's fantastic but don't mumble through it. Instead, join the rest of us in opposing restrictions on others on vague grounds because that's what your gut is telling you that day.

So then, nothing is different. You are still angry about the general lack of respect for religion that you feel is owed. And you still confuse the things that different posters here say with each other. I also have a hard time with that. After a while all the conservatives start to sound the same when really the thing most of them share the most is their deep anger.

Hi folks, IMO well deserved: Ahmaud Arbery’s killers get life in prison; no parole for father, son - oregonlive.com Jerry Baumchen

How do you know she knows that? Sporting one video of penguin porn online could easily be a misdirection. I think this needs it's own thread.

I think there are some crimes that clearly deserve the death penalty. However, it can be easily shown that the DP is applied to poor minorities at rates well above representation in court cases. The fact that the prosecutor didn't seek it in this case (three white defendants, one black victim) says a lot. That's why I'm against it. Not that I don't think certain people deserve it.

I know you're not the quickest on the uptake, but this was more than a year ago. And suure, I just keep falling for your clever plans - "maths and scotch don't mix", "didn't look into it deeply it was just a quick google", basically shining a light on your BS was all part of your plan right? I shall continue playing my part then

There is no compromise. We shall go on to the end. We shall fight in Texas, we shall fight in Kansas and Utah, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our principle, whatever the cost may be, we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender.

But no one does that and no Dr. would unless there was a reason. It is a red herring. I prefer a hard line drawn in the sand.

On Thursday, the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors in Phoenix delivered a detailed four-hour livestreamed rebuttal of all the firm’s claims, showing that all, except one involving 50 votes, were either mistaken, misleading or outright false. That same day, a superior court judge cited the company for contempt after it refused to surrender records of its vote review to The Arizona Republic, which is seeking them under a freedom of information request. He levied a $50,000-a-day fine on the firm until it produces the records. By week’s end, lawyers said the firm was insolvent and had laid off its employees, including Doug Logan, its chief executive and onetime proponent of a baseless theory that the state’s voting machines had been rigged. The shutdown was confirmed on Friday by a spokesman, Rod Thomson, who said it was unclear whether the company would declare bankruptcy. That did not impress the judge, John Hannah, who suggested that the shutdown might be designed “to leave the Cyber Ninjas entity as an empty piñata for all of us to swing at.” The official Maricopa County Twitter account seized on the description, declaring that “an empty piñata is a pretty accurate description of the ‘audit’ as a whole.”

Hi Keith, We think alike. However, I am beginning to agree with Andy9o8, an attorney who used to post a lot here. He was against the death penalty unless one killed or was responsible for a killing while incarcerated. IMO not a bad position to take. Jerry Baumchen

I don’t know about Jerry’s, but mine is that when you have a direct conflict between the well being of two beings (or people), how do you choose? It sounds like you automatically choose against the woman, robbing her of the ability to determine her future. Yes, the fetus’s future is dependent on her, but who gets to choose? I realize that as the only woman in this discussion (albeit no longer bearing childre) I have nothing important to say, but I still feel compelled to say it Wendy P.

I thought we met at a WFFC. When Bill posted the Thailand Big Way, I recognized you. I was probably scoping out your date :) You're referring to a conversation we had a couple/three years ago. It revolved around my better half bringing up the definition of death as the heart stops. Therefore, can it be said that life starts when the heart starts beating. If memory serves, there was no real medical definition of the heart starting and when, so we left it at that. Or, maybe I left it at that. It got quite heated. This road is a bit fucked up for me - so I leave it at - I've had varying views on it over the years, from full opposition (as a form of birth control) to now; none of my business.

How many jumps do you have? A lot of stability issues come from flying with a rigid body rather than actual body position. If you have a flat body position *and* you are flying stiff, that multiplies the problem. If you are a new jumper, I suggest seeking out instructors and local veteran jumpers, and ask them for a critique. Sometimes we can fix a small problem and solve a bigger one. Be safe. Be badass.

Hi Keith, And, I am pro-abortion. Re: but who are we to judge what others have to, want to, or need to do. I could not agree more. Jerry Baumchen

Response to the nipply one: Your first jump will be a recurrency. To make sure that you obey your jumpmasters, you'll be required to wear eye shades along with the face mask. The instructors will pull off the eye shades when they deploy you. With a frap hat, the options are endless. I'd go with the standard little blue face shield, and just let freefall blow it off. Then you can wait for it to land and re-use it again. Make sure you weight it appropriately -- you do want it to come back down on the airport, after all. There's a whole new sport of mask accuracy, with people building special accuracy masks, studying the wind currents in detail, and adjusting the mask weight based on the exit altitude and direction.
