Paging Riggerlee, paging Riggerlee... I posted this on Basejumper just before it got taken down and now it looks like there's no backup. Last year I made a canopy for *ahem* "low altitude skydiving" and my friend was impressed and asked me to make him a base canopy. So I scaled it up, added 2 more vents and gave it Dacron lines. Since he would be doing the first jump on it he asked if he could name it. The result was Aya. He jumped it out in France this September First jump video Since then, he's done about a dozen jumps on it and asked for some modifications like a flatter trim and larger crossports, and a shallower brake setting. I've been given the patterns to a Darkside container and I've been making good progress making a pair, but it's slow because I've never really done that much container work, and there are elements of the design that I'm struggling with. I'm also not equipped to build containers. I'm probably going to throw the first one in the bin and count it as experience.

There's no getting through to brent he needs to believe how clever he is, have you seen how much he praises himself? All I'm doing is showing the planet-sized holes in his arguments, which is pretty easy. So that other people who might be reading the thread don't fall for his crap. (not that there are many people stupid enough for that, but we do what we can...)

And their insurance should refuse to cover them. Don't do a yearly check up? We can't renew your insurance. Don't see your doctor after a course of prescription drugs? We're not going to cover renewing it. Those things already exist. Don't get preventative care for Covid? Then you're not covered for covid treatment. It's simple. Even IF you survive, you're likely to be bankrupt. Good.

Brother, that ain't news. Endemic has always been the end game. Might be we've caught a break with Omicron, it being more contagious and less deadly. If that gets us to <Re 1 I'm a happy camper. We'll never convince the deluded many to get vaccinated and we don't have the balls to lock them out of normal life so just maybe it's nature to the rescue.

Masks still work both ways if you are wearing them. (i.e. if you're sick you reduce the odds of making other people sick, and if THEY are sick it reduces your odds of becoming infected.)
