If people won't believe science enough to take life-saving vaccinations based on their political stance then there is precisely zero chance that anyone on the right will give a fuck about whatever the results of a study by the CDC on gun violence is. It's a massive waste of money before it even begins. Get right wing politicians to state publically that if an independant study shows x, y and z as resultts then they'll alter their opinions BEFORE spending the money to do the study, otherwise it's utterly pointless. Even then the cowards still wouldn't stick to their promises.

Also in the demographics of who has been vaccinated. In Florida almost all old people (and there are a lot of them) have been vaccinated, and far fewer 30 year olds. The 30 year olds go out and party in bars and clubs; the old people don't. In CA slightly fewer older folks have been vaccinated but far more 30 year olds are vaccinated.

Yep. I have lived out of my car, at friends' couches, on a small boat, in a tent... Amazing what you can accomplish when you lose everything and have to start from scratch. The debt ceiling addresses the debt that has already been accrued since the last increase, the great majority (I've read ~97%) of it under Trump. Absolutely. And I think it's a fair argument that the reason our allies get by spending so little is owing to our spending way too much. That we did to ourselves, no doubt about it.

There really isn't any justification for the USA to spend more on killing machines than the next 10 nations combined, when most of them are our allies anyway. Eisenhower was right.

Here is my suggestion. Two rules that must be followed in all drone strikes: 1. No strikes in any country, unless Congress has declared war there; You know, like it says in the Constitution. 2. No killing unless the target has been positively identified. No more of this bullshit of targeting people just based on their behaviour as seen from the drone cameras. The US has enough enemies. We don't need to run around the planet killing random people, and making enemies of all the friends/relatives/survivors.

I guess indirectly, Trump's mishandling of COVID did contribute to a reduction in CO2 emissions.
