Hi All Not sure if I've written this in the right place but hope everyone whose commented can see it. Returned yesterday felt a lot more confident and got through levels 2 and 3 without any issue. Was nervous going into the level 2 jump but after leaving the plane and stabilizing started to really enjoy it. Was less nervous going into level 3 but obviously they were still there, again really enjoyed the jump. I understand these levels are pretty straight forward but getting through these was a pretty big step for me. Thanks so much to everyone who commented and gave my the confidence to give it another go.

Cops Strip-Searched a Black Teen in the Street in Broad Daylight Then, they searched the family home with guns drawn. This is one of those "WTF were you thinking moments." Not just; you were a dumb-shit, but you were both dumb-shits. Of particular note in the article: "All of the officers involved in this incident have continued to work on the force, and no punishment has been handed down for the cop who exposed and touched the teen and his older brother, or any of the other officers, according to WAFB. There is now an investigation into Sgt. Camallo's role in the incident. Louisiana State representative Ted James said he believes qualified immunity, or the inability for individual offices to get sued, is to blame for disturbing overreach of power by the Baton Rouge cop’s last year." No shit. I'll say it again - qualified and sovereign immunity allows this type of stupid shit to continue.

This thread is about EV's. Maybe shame on me for not putting [On-Topic] in the thread title, but I'm asking now if we can get back on track.

I lived through Watergate and one thing is certain. This is not the GOP of the Nixon era. That GOP came to their senses and had the guts to look Nixon in the face and tell him he needed to resign. They did that without fear of their voters.

As ever we are going at it ass backwards. We need simple advantages conferred on those smart enough, or brave enough, to get a painless shot. Vaccine passports with the ability to board aircraft, dine out, take an Uber, go to the Opera. No, on second thought we should send those jabronis who wont get vaccinated to the Opera but you get my point.

Agreed. - 1 in 50 chance of dying from catching a disease; "Meh, I'll pass." - 1 in 3 chance of long-term health issues from catching a disease; "Meh, I'll pass." - 1 in 1,000,000 chance of winning a lottery; "Where do I sign up???"

For some reason, my mind simply does not understand the need to incentivize someone to protect their fellow man. Are we going to create an attitude of, "Well, I'm going to wait and see what they'll give me."

I went from a Katana 107 to a JFX94. That transition felt OK for me, but it was a VERY steep learning curve. Luckily I had some teammates who were very skilled pilots and were able to give me some good tips.

I started skydiving/AFF at the Champaign-Urbana Skydiving Club last fall when I was 18 then finished out my A-license in January in the student training program at Skydive Spaceland Houston. Since then, I've been skydiving with the UIUC Falling Illini Collegiate Skydiving Team as the (currently) only girl and travelling to Chicagoland Skydiving Center on the weekends to get more altitude and larger formation jumps. I've been thrown into a nuclear lake, hit jump number and freefall time for my B-license, and gone through ground school for the canopy course. This summer, I'm hoping to hit my C-license and make some hot air balloon jumps. Eventually, the goal is wingsuiting and BASE jumping. Now that I'm travelling to more dropzones and have enough tunnel time and training experience to begin more advanced diveflows, I figured it's time to introduce myself and get to know more of the community. I'll be tenting Friday-Sunday at dzs across Missouri + a few neighboring states this summer, so if you're located at any of those areas and want to get some jumps together feel free to reach out! I'm also open to US dropzone recommendations and meeting other USPA Collegiate Nationals competitors, so if you're planning to enter this year (or need extra team members) let me know! Blue skies! -Kathleen Beetner, ig: @kathleens_shenanigans

I’m a 24.5 head. The Kiss XXL fits well and I bought one. The XXL G3 won’t go on. My old Z1 was bigger than either. Big noggins are tricky for fitting helmets.
