4 points"Overall, we rate Electroverse a quackery level Pseudoscience source based on the promotion of misinformation regarding climate change that does not align with the consensus of science." Founded in 2018, Electroverse is a news and opinion website that promotes human-influenced climate change denial. The website completely lacks transparency as there is not an about page, the contact page does not provide the location, the only author named is Cap Allon who does not provide a biography, and ownership is not disclosed.

3 pointsCame here to tell a joke about trickle down economics but then I remembered 99% of you wouldn't get it.

2 pointsDepends on the situation, of course. Is it someone who is drunk and is fumbling around in their jacket? Then a taser might be the best approach. Is it someone who just shot someone else, they see you and they draw their weapon? Then deadly force would likely be the best choice. There are absolutely cases where deadly force is appropriate. It is also used as a first resort far too often (IMO.)

2 pointsDoes he drive a black TransAm named KITT?

2 pointsThe massive surge in India is a problem for us too: The more cases there are, the more likely it is that a random mutation will arise that is not recognized by the current vaccines. While most mutations are harmless or benign, even if 1 in a million is a problem, the place with the most cases is where it is likely to happen. Which is why it is in our best interest to supply vaccines to other countries.

1 pointSimple. We'll convert 'em first, then vaccinate 'em. Why you always got to make shit so hard, Brother?

1 pointNot true. He thinks plugging in the Hoover vacuum is a contribution to cleaning the planet.

1 pointwrong. it is the perfect situation for a taser, depending on some variables. 1. she was the one who called the cops, but was merely still fighting when they arrived. 2. she had lunged with a knife, so had she been about 5 or 10 feet or more from the target a taser would have most likely stopped her with no harm to the target. that is from a purely armchair perspective, and i am not disagreeing that he was justified in lethal force. i disagree that the taser would not be good. in my opinion, the best reform, or at least the first, for cops should be deescalation coupled with non-lethal techniques to subdue suspects. mandatory aikido also. if most of these cops were more confident in their self defense ability, they wouldn't be so scared. if they were confident in their ability to deescalate a situation, they wouldn't be so scared. this won't take care of everything, but it will go a long way.

1 pointI fractured my spine (L2 and L3) on a bad landing from a roller coming off a building at about 20 feet on jump 31, after almost a year layoff. I was off for ANOTHER year almost before I felt comfortable coming back. I'll tell ya, that first jump back was TERRIFYING. Even the drive to the DZ, my palms were sweating. But the DZO was great at helping me swallow the fear and welcome me back. Felt SOOOOOO sweet. Come back when YOU'RE ready BECAUSE YOU WANT TO. Not because you think you should or someone told you you should or could. Good luck!!

1 pointHere it is exactly as I received it. There are factual errors in his telling of the story, but I don't think they impact his analysis and/or conclusions. No date on when he wrote this, nor was there any contact information for "Bill Hoover." **************************************

1 pointI've been in the WS tunnel and definitely found it good for learning. Raw performance flying is a different kettle of fish but you can still bring little things you learn in the tunnel to that. For another example look at the WS flying you see experienced freefly tunnel flyers doing. They bring skills they've learnt in the vertical tunnels to WS and it helps.

1 pointSo do I. Goes without saying, 'cos "Boobies" has been an option here for as long as I can remember.

1 pointTHOSE folks are 100% CORRECT! The Parachute Landing Fall comes FROM the round parachute community. RAM AIR chutes are VERY different animals. And yes, while a parachute is a parachute is a... They fly AND land with very different circumstances... Hi, I'm formally known as SGT Ski, 82ND AIRBORNE. I've performed (still do for training) a couple PLF's in my day. That being said, modifications to translate that from round to ram isn't hard. The forward drive is of course the major difference. Pchapman said it best, think modified baseball slide. And yes, I know a few broke dick jumpers who maybe should hang it up, but keep grinding, and sliding it in on purpose. BIGGUN however gave the BEST advice: no shame in UP sizing and jumping in IDEAL conditions. Set yourself up for success. We've all seen tandems land, right???

1 pointWhy? Because they won't be allowed to get away with murdering Black people anymore? Or to show "those people" what happens when they get uppity and insist on the cops following the law in addition to enforcing it?

1 pointmaybe YOU did nothing, but I did all sorts of things. i went to protests, started writing articles, started publicly calling out racists on the internet (and sometimes in real life, although living in a state full of them, i have to be more careful), actively support my friends of color, and if i had found a few folks to help one time, would have pulled down a statue of stonewall jackson at the capitol. i had the truck and a few chains, but that thing is heavy. anyone with those stupid blue line flags owns it, along with all of those with the "few bad apples" bullshit. the bad apples were left with the bunch too long and are almost all spoiled now. i, and most folks i know and care about, own none of it. you may, and good on you to admit it. now do something about it.

1 pointOh oh, I'm so sorry you are "butt hurt"! Realistically many or even most jumpsuits have Cordura reinforced buts to protect the jumpsuit from damage. If you want body protection from poor landings you need to do what people in sports where falls are common do. Armour. Look at skateboarding equipment. What skydivers do instead is learn to stand up landings. As a rule we do not have areas we "know are likely to make hard contact".

1 pointThere are currently 4 or 5 locations worldwide in EU, USA and Russia where future Wingsuit Tunnel projects are planned. To be clear, we are active as ws coaches with a good 1500 hrs flying/teaching experience but are not owners or shareholders in the company, and our information on the USA tunnel is based on what we read online and the scarce info that is shared with us from IWF. The USA tunnel in FL timeline seems to be: 2021/2022: Find Investors / Arrange Permits etc 2023: Build and Opening Depending on how easy or hard it is to source financing in a post-covid world, with in the USA a struggling IFLY on the edge of bankruptcy as an example, it could end up even stretching towards 2024, or even a risk of it not happening at all. We of course hope to see our working grounds expanded to USA as well, but are aware it's not easy times to get such a project financed. What the actual timeline will look like, no idea...but optimism seems to be needed..

1 pointWhat are her accomplishments? Sleeping with Willie Brown to advance her carrier? Failing at a political bid? (never even getting one vote in a caucus or primary) Or being picked by a white male politician to be his VP because of her mixed race and gender? Candice Owens? Yes! Condoleezza Rice? Yes! A political Cardi B? Count me out.

1 pointBut that is exactly what Biden did. He stopped the keystone pipeline, costing thousands of jobs and his rhetoric effectively opened our southern border. On day one. No sober analysis no evaluation, just knee jerk reaction. Now workers and children are suffering the consequences.

1 pointJobs A+ Economic growth A+ Inflation A+ Energy Independence A+ Border Security B No New Wars A+ Deficit F (same grade as every president this century) Supreme Court A+ The pandemic was/is a once in a century black swan event that no large western democracy handled particularly well. Only a fool would base a policy evaluation on a once in a century event.
-
1 pointLower regulation, lower taxes, secure boarder, lower prices for guns and ammo, energy dominance, low gas prices, low inflation....IOW the kind of country we had before the pandemic
