Clearly the US has taken a look at the supply of the Astra Zeneca vaccine, which is not approved for use there and likely will not be for quite some time if ever, and decided that it should allow export of the product before it expires and perhaps they will have to pay for it. The USA does not need or want this product. Nothing is being given.

i recall a similar sentiment around the y2k bug. all the hype and nothing. hell, i went to bed at 11 that year because i knew nothing would happen because too many people put in way too many hours making sure of it. same thing with i t security, when it works well, you don't know it's there until you get the bill. then you dispute the bill because nothing happened. then i leave, you get breached, and i charge 10 times the amount to clean up the mess that i could have prevented cheaply. damn, that went a bit long, sorry.

People will be wondering how the system was stored all those years and if damages are present It would be best to get all the components inspected by a rigger then get his feeling on the value of the system and post the rigger inspection with your ad to prevent unnecessary questions.

I've been out of the sport for 10 years and am starting to prepare for my comeback...So, I call my local dropzone to purchase some new larger size rubber bands. I have a few left, but they are 10 plus years old and breaking a lot more frequently then I recall on my practice packing. Figured it's probably time to freshen them up. So guy in the rig shop says they don't have any rubber bands in stock to sell and, "besides, everyone has pretty much gone to semi-stowless d-bags. So we just give away the rubber bands." I'm assuming they are "just giving away" rubber bands because the semi-stowless d-bags use half the bands. Besides feeling like a luddite and being behind the times, I have a few questions regarding these new fangled semi-stowless d-bags; 1) Are they really that popular and pretty much replaced the traditional (fully stowed?) d-bags? 2) I was always told that part of a good, soft opening deployment, was the methodical in sequence release of the lines from the stows. Stows too loose could contribute to a hard opening. Is having half the stows of any consequence for semi-stowless bags? Are they more likely to have hard openings? 3) Besides aiding in the speed of packing (fewer stows to deal with) are there any other advantages for using semi-stowless d-bags? Thanks for any info folks!

Ten U.S. states have mandatory waiting periods from 1 to 14 days. Georgia is not one of them. In the remaining forty states, you can walk in, point at a gun, they run a background check and give you the gun. Having said that, there is currently a gun bill that has passed the house that, 1) would make a federal ten day waiting period across the nation, and 2) closes the "Gun Show" loophole by requiring EVERY purchase of personal firearms to be run through a dealer and registered to the next owner. The only exception is spousal gift purchase. Well, unless you have Prime. Prime gets you anything and everything in two days and sometimes tomorrow.

OK, bear hunt did not go as planned. Instead, spent day lying around house with a dull headache, and *extreme* fatigue. 2nd shot was brutal. Will try bear hunt again this afternoon.

"NEW SCHOOL FOR JUMP PILOTS OPENS IN NC EMERGENCY BAILOUT COURSE FOR AEROBATIC, WARBIRD PILOTS OFFERED" https://www.aopa.org/news-and-media/all-news/2021/march/16/new-school-for-jump-pilots Looks like an excellent way for Ed to capitalize on his experience and "pay it forward" through continuing efforts to enhance safety in jump pilot/aircraft operations. Best of luck and success.

Oh, piffle. You aren't a libertarian, as if any truly exist, you are a contrarian.

The filibuster has fallen victim to tribalism. It used to be a tool for democracy but now is merely a club to beat democracy into submission.

I've seen at my DZ 2 of the Vmag mounts lost due to being knocked loose. I use the chinmount.com version. Great quality, lowest profile, low price, if you bump into something, it dislodges instead of departs. The Grellfab chinmount is similar in this respect, but the Grellfab is much bulkier than the chinmount.com mount. I ordered it with a bunch of extra "up" angle because I fly with my head lower than the young kids. Top of head stalk-type mounts are lousy not only because they can snag not only a main or main PC. More important is they are in a great position during most cutaways to snag part of the deploying reserve as it passes by the back of your head.
