Right after posts proclaiming how a colder February shows global warming doesn't exist. #priceless

Many international agreements don't have sanctions. Most international agreements are just that. Agreements to work to a common objective. NATO and various military think tanks have studied and found that more wars will be fought in the future due to climate change. For developed countries consumers and corporations are driving change as well. In addition, many agreements like the Paris accords start as simple agreements. Then morph into more comprehensive ones. some with sanctions. How climate change is driving emigration from Central America There is an increasing flow of economic migrants into the US and the EU due to climate change. All from deteriorating agriculture zones further south.

Namby pamby non-confrontational non-talk. I didn't say tell him he's a moron, I said be unambiguous. Frankly, brother, what you said to him did him zero good.

Your old skydiving friend is a goddamn moron. Maybe take a chance on him never talking to you again and tell him the truth in an unambiguous way. You cannot always walk the line, Ken.

My Personal preference and recommendation is to go with the CYPRES. In my Opinion they have been the most reliable AAD on the Market. Irish Rigger

On the elliptical-ocity (heh) of parachutes, I think this John Le Blanc chap knows a thing or two: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tcOOAWpwSTM It's a shame that these BPA videos don't get a wider distribution, there are some really good talks in there.

I own a Vector 348 and am renting a Pilot 188 ZPX, have a PD 160 reserve. I am renting the canopy from a Master rigger who is highly regarded- he verified it was going to fit and would be safe to jump in that size container. It is a brand new canopy, I have been learning to pack with it, jumping it both with other packers packing it for me and also packing and jumping it myself a few times. There have been no problems with the bag extracting or the canopy coming out of the bag so far. Am using the original D bag that came with the V348 It was fitted with a near new Sabre2 170 that I packed for practiced a few times before getting the Pilot 188 ZPX. Feels very similar to pack into the container as that did- both are a full fit. I had to work about the same to close the container for each canopy type. Neither are fun to pack yet. The Pilot ZPX that is brand spanking new is extremely slippery, not even close to fun to pack or bag. It is not easy for me to pack, I am slow and I take my time. And sometimes swear when packing But openings have been sweet. Bear in mind this is just my opinion based on what I have felt and seen packing it as a less experienced skydiver, and that I took advice from a rigger that knows his stuff. UPT do say the V348 is a full fit with a LPV Pulse 190 which is also equivalent or so pack volume to a Sabre2 170. Talk to a rigger you trust about it. Hope this is helpful. :)

Some people have a habit of questioning what they are told...always. At least until they find a logic explanation.

That is the answer I want only if you actually have a 348 and Pilot 188 ZPX that you have packed safely in the container. Video proof in HD might also be required. I know for sure that a Pilot 210 ZPX packs one size smaller and was assuming the same for the 188. Many on here actually testify that Pilot ZPX's pack closer to 2 sizes smaller.

No wonder this is confusing - you're getting exactly opposite answers all over the place here. What canopy exactly are you trying to fit into what container (with what size reserve, with or without AAD), in what climate?

Is that a guess or do you have experience with that issue? I am wondering, as with less fabrik there is less that could be made thinner (ZP->ZPX). Moreover lines and grommets etc stay the same. So the absolute differenzes in pack volume should be greater with bigger canopies, whereas less with small canopies. At leas logical that would make sense... cheers! platein

my 188 zpx fits perfect in an I4 so that's about 2 sizes smaller. side note: it took around 50-60 jumps on it to fit this well. you'll hate your life prior to that jump count. Better be on the ground wishing you were up there than being up there wishing you were on the ground.

Currently, Im looking to stuff a 210ZPX into a container made for canopies between the sizes of 150-170sqft..... Aerodyne ZPX material has 17% less pack volume than a ZP of the same size… The Velocity I-34 container has a maximum pack volume size of 387cui (150-170sqft) -A Triathlon 210 with ZP material has a pack volume of 435cui -A triathlon 210 with ZPX material has a pack volume of 361cui (0.17% - 435) Even when the ZPX material has 10% less volume, the calculation is close but doable @ 391cui WHEN were comparing to the Velocity container MAX pack volume of 387cui In theory, it appears it works…. What are your thoughts about the triathlon 210ZPX pack volume? Past experience? Is it possible to pack the ZPX material 2x smaller? Thank you for your time, advice and suggestions in canopy to container sizing. Check your ego at the door. Stay humble.
