2 pointsOh come on. Unless you are hoping for dick picks why don't you just share it with all of us? (And you can share those dick pics by pm if you want) Fwiw to the OP, the transition from dive to level before the flare works best if it's done smooth and slow. Put the earphones in that flysight set to ping you the speed, and work on levelling and staying level without losing speed. More often than not a too quick levelling just causes a lot of drag due to changing the angle of attack too much, when at that stage you want to change pitch while maintaining the AoA as much as possible.

1 pointSoooooo, I had the pleasure of flying this one piece wonder last week and it was pretty much everything I expected it to be: AWESOME! I can only compare it too the other "tracking suits" I've flown, the Phoenix Fly PTS and Squirrel Sausage. The two piece suit I LOVED. Bought it brand new and jumped it like crazy in preparation for Wingsuiting. (which i highly recommend if you aim to join the flock one day...) The Sausage however was purchased second hand (third actually) and In my opinion should be scraped all together. NOT stable enough for my liking and sent me into turns I didn't want! THE MUTATION however is, how I describe: a wingless wingsuit! Super stable and go's where you want! I don't have any flysight feedback unfortunately but when I'm ready for another tracking suit, this is the one. (I'm sure the onesie is just as, if not better in the glide department. I fly squirrel for reasons...) Happy tracking.

1 pointThe first trump enabler arrested because of Jan 6th. "Federico Klein, a former State Department aide, was picked up Thursday on charges stemming from the Jan. 6 takeover of Congress. The FBI on Thursday arrested Federico Klein, a former State Department aide, on charges related to the storming of the Capitol on Jan. 6, marking the first known instance of an appointee of President Donald Trump facing criminal prosecution in connection with the attempt to block Congress from certifying President Joe Biden’s victory. Klein, 42, was taken into custody in Virginia,"

1 pointWhat generally gets posts deleted is abusive behavior, trolling, or topic bumping. Those are specifically called out as against the forum rules. Thoroughly off-topic discussions might be moved to somewhere more relevant (e.g. a discussion of instruction belongs in Instruction, not Fatalities). Wendy P. (moderator)

1 pointNow Robert99 is claiming that I said Cooper jumped near Lake Oswego... This is 100% false... There is something about cases like Cooper that brings out the crazy..

1 pointDear JD Boston, I regulate fear in first-timers by two methods. The first is based upon my previous experience teaching earlier FJC. If an old lesson scared students too much, I back off from that technique. Then I watch reactions of students in the class room and during other ground training and try to tailor levels of fear to below those where the student can still handle complex tasks under stress. If a student is slightly overwhelmed, I ask them to step to the back of the class and watch a few other students practice the drill. If they are still overwhelmed, I suggest that they come back another day to jump. In the worst case scenario, I hand that student off the tandem instructors. Which reminds me of an incident. One day I was puttering around in the loft while Andrew was teaching the IAD FJC. Part way through the morning he marched a Japanese student in and introduced me as "our best tandem instructor." Then we went up for a tandem jump and flailed all over the sky. Even something as simple as the "banana position" was too much for her. She was emotionally overwhelmed even during a tandem! All that afternoon, I wondered why Andrew hated me so much????? That evening, Andrew explained that while teaching emergency procedures, the girl kept asking "but if I do nothing, will I still be okay?" Clearly, she was not intellectually capable of handling the stresses of a solo jump.

1 pointFrom June of 2019 to August of last year - me and a couple of friends did 50K+ miles in the Harleys No destination - All Journey. We'd wake up in the morning and rotate who got to choose the direction. From Florida to Washington State zig-zagging around the country. We came home in November of 2019 and took back off last March. Had to add my favorite pic... entering Glacier National Park

1 pointAs the guy above hinted, this is a pretty stupid idea. I have 1200 WS jumps and I wouldent do that. The problem is when you have that many people that close doing intentionally unstable exits, there is a high probability of a collision and collisions in wingsuits, even from close distances, can result in neck breaking forces very easily. The guy in the link above was doing a 4-way exit (normal exit, not backflips like these guys) and he died from a collision on the exit. In general you should not launch more than two wingsuiters at a time in a Skyvan and both should be solid fliers. If someone is new or they are going to do an erratic exit, they should exit first (in the WS group) and alone. As far as WHY they did it. My guess, show off for the video. There is no performance-related reason to do an exit like that during a race. If you want to exit head down, you can do that from any aircraft without doing a backflip. A head down exit is not actually that hard.

1 pointI am a sheeple! I love it! I've gone to USPA three times to get something I've wanted. I've created course plans, I've written articles for Parachutist on the topics, I've collected petitions and I've gone to BOD meetings - and organized trips for other supporters of my plans. The actual BOD meetings were important, but even more importantly was the opportunity to talk to BOD people outside the meeting, in the bar or restaurant before/after the meeting. And today we have an ISP and a rule that requires separating landing areas in the group member pledge. Oh, and USPA doesn't have a ban on mentioning BASE in the magazine any more. (And BTW I was far from the only person advocating for any of that. But together we got enough support to get those changes through.) You bitch on the Internet and do nothing else other than obediently mailing your check in, like a good sheep. Which one of us is a "sheeple" again?

1 pointDo you have a facebook account? That is a great place to look up folks from the past. I personally know Rocky is on there and I would bet Mike is too. I never met you dad but I certainly know of his contributions to skydiving. I started jumping in 1985 and was the 4th AFF graduate at my DZ. My wife made her first jump in Deland in '87 and Rocky was her AFF instructor. We'd love to see old photos, log entries, etc. There is also a facebook page for old skydiving stuff that is very active. If you scanned some photos and posted them there I'm sure they would be a big hit. Chuck Akers D-10855 Houston, TX
