2 pointshard to begin to address this post, since most of it is bullshit, and the rest is fud. you can really tell who watched fox and who listens to real news by the way they tell the stories they hear. i had a few minutes to spare, so went through every link here, and one is posed as an example of vaccines thrown out while the article says none were wasted at all. one shows less than 0.1% waste, which is amazing for something with such strict restrictions on temperature. most of the rest address a problem with a solution already in place, mainly due to the press of it happening at all. one actually uses an ESTIMATE from 2015 as the basis for vaccines getting thrown out. that takes care of the "sources". i really want to write something, but i kind of like reading these forums daily and don't want to get banned for calling you out, so i will stick to addressing the other point you tried to make. you see a problem, so what do you do? talk to someone who has authority to make something happen? no, that is what leaders, smart folks, and people who care about others do, and from what i can tell, you don't fit in those categories. it isn't really that hard to figure out how to solve this one, and it is by using some of the ideas in some of the articles you posted. yeah, they are already doing it most places, and you would have known that had you read what you posted. maybe you did and hoped nobody else would, since one actually refutes your position. probably not though. tell ya what, why don't you make a few phone calls to some folks in the health department where you live and start finding out if it's true, and ask what types of protections they have in place to prevent waste. someone should talk to you, but they may be busy. and i guarantee you that if you use the type of language you use here, they will hang up on you. try to be a little charming, almost flirty, and do not start off accusing anyone of anything. it is a little concerning that some vaccine doses are going to waste, but if you look at supply logistics, you will see that nothing is ever going to be zero waste, especially anything which requires refrigeration at that temperature after being mishandled and almost sabotaged for over a month. don't worry though, daddy joe is here to make everything better for you. all you gotta do is lie there quietly, and close your eyes. try to find your happy place, and don't whimper too much.

1 pointYou know 4 people who found the vaccine in the trash and somehow administered it to themselves?

1 pointPerhaps Rudy and Sidney will be each other's defense attorney. Clearly each has a long record of WINNING.

1 pointI see nothing wrong with Greene in congress. This is what it means to be in a representative democracy. Our government needs to have people of all types in there - not just the ones you like. QAnon should be represented just as much as progressive liberals. If the people of Georgia want someone like her to represent them, then she should be allowed to be there to represent their beliefs. And everyone else outside her district should not be able to say shit about it. Kind of like those a-holes in Texas trying to change the votes in Pennsylvania. Now if the people of her district decides that she has gone too far, they could do a recall (or whatever it is called) and vote her out of office. But since that hasn't happened, we can only assume that she has the full support of the people of her district and for me, I know now where in the US I personally would never want to move.

1 pointRacist judges (who, for the most part, are unconsciously racist) are a large part of the reason white privledge exists. As are similarly racist police, probation officers, apartment managers, rental agents etc.

1 pointAnd you think that Keynesian economics was produced how? I'm just waiting to get a word in about my pet goldfish.

1 pointThis topic is for discussion between a woman and her doctor, with the other parent also being consulted if part of the picture. I jumped while pregnant (5 months), with full knowledge of the doctor. That my doctor disagreed with your assessment says more about you than it does about me. Wendy P.

1 pointBut what about all of us white folk being offered the covid vaccine before the "black community"??? Guess it boils down to where you find yourself living life and where the vaccination locations are being offered. So what IS the truth? Obviously the vaccine roll out has been anything but perfect. Did you really expect anything other wise? But wait, before I run away on a covid tangent, THIS is a black vs white theme... You're not wrong Bill, the "white privilege" is REAL. Let's be problem solvers, not provokers. Because that is ALL you are offering here...

1 pointGuys at what age do I start just operating on the belief that whatever opinion and circumstance I have on a matter is the only one that counts, and get mad at everyone who doesn't immediately agree with me? Asking for a friend.

1 pointHi Aymen, Re: Pregnant women cannot skydive. Muriel Simbro, the 1962 Women's World Champion, was pregnant during the entire competition. Lots of other things that you have posted are just as incorrect. Jerry Baumchen

1 pointSo 'laughter is the best medicine', but fun and excitement might not be? Ha! They left out the one thing I've sometimes been curious about - whether there might be a cumulative effect on your innards from thousands of opening shocks.

1 pointI am well aware of what a roommate is. I also know that even renting a room is at least $500 a month pretty much just about everywhere.

1 pointBrother, I have to side with the left on this one. And, in part, you are correct. One-time shot in the arms aren't that great, but it is something. IMO: It should have been $600 - $1,000/month this whole time. Any time there's a recession/depression, the Keynesian Model works. Get money into the hands of the consumers that make less than "X" and they spend. Moving money around is what gets the economy to rebound.

1 pointCheck yourself, my brain is working just fine and I studied the ethics and pragmatics of this in medical school. We don’t assign vaccine priority based on a moral judgment of how “good” you are and the vaccine is not an “attaboy” for valiant service. It is quite simply not a factor. If the doctors and federal judges tell you you’re doing healthcare wrong, you should really stop and evaluate how “logical” your argument really is. You use the word twice but fail to apply the concept.

1 pointAlso, they are unable to practice social distancing. If the ultimate goal is to get out from under this we shouldn't penalize one set of folks.

1 pointThat's because you jump at a badass drop zone, and Rom runs a great crew at the school. (Now if that old grey haired guy would just come back, but he's being a pussy about the virus or something...) -------- I would also stress tracking. Tracking is a survival skill. If you're about to get your A license and be released 'into the wild', jumping with people who are not instructors/coaches, then your ability to perform a quick, straight track to ensure separation before opening is essential. Also make sure you're doing a good wave-off, and have your coaches show you about 'clearing your airspace' before you pull. When you get your A, look into the Excel Camps that they run every month. They're meant for where you're at. About the hop n pop - Emergency exits are also a survival skill. You can practice it on any jump by making sure you can do a stable exit and quick practice touch. Also, be familiar with the areas you fly over during the climb to altitude, and know where your alternate landing areas are. There is nowhere you fly over that you cannot find a spot to land - a school, a park, a field, the top of a Wal-Mart... "Safety's a skill. Survival's an art." - JS

1 pointSo people only voted for Biden because they hated Trump? That makes two elections in a row where hate won. I hope we can do better next time.
-
1 pointIt was so wierd I didn't even notice that the point of the story was that Ron voted for Trump because he wanted him get rid of all the 'coons.
