Listen up Trump supporters! We really have to get a few things straight here. Trump lost the election. COVID-19 is real and it is a big problem. California fires were not started by secret Jewish space lasers. School shootings are not a hoax. Alternative facts are lies, not facts. Global warming is actually real. The Capital riot was due to Trump supporters listening to Trump, not secret Soros-funded Antifa false flag actors. Vaccines work. So do masks and distancing. Science does actually work, and it isn't based on the popularity of a Facebook meme. Hillary Clinton is not actually a cannibal vampire pedophile murderer who lives under a pizza place in Washington, DC. We checked and that's actually not true. Y'all had some crazy and fun ideas, but this shit is starting to not be funny any more. Too many people are dead.

When the national Republican party thinks it's acceptable to play such a sick joke on the citizens they represent, you really do have to wonder what it is they actually stand for.

This cracked me up - "The names of Abraham Lincoln, George Washington and other prominent figures including California Sen. Dianne Feinstein will be removed from 44 San Francisco public schools . . ." https://apnews.com/article/race-and-ethnicity-san-francisco-school-boards-education-dianne-feinstein-8ed10976d4041129917914f7dd73c14e Here's a solution - I went to P.S.99 - Just name them numbers. Guess it's a good thing there's only 44 schools, so no kid gets tarnished with "I went to PS 69" : )

It was ruled a long time ago that certain types of speech are not 'protected'. Incitement to riot is one. And the immunity is (as you note) for exercising their lawful duties. I find it hard (not impossible) to believe a court would consider Trump's trying to usurp a lawful election, incitement to insurrection and basically wiping his ass with the Constitution to be part of his 'lawful duties'. What crimes was Hilary charged with? What lawsuits did she weasel out of claiming 'immunity'? I find it rather amusing how many of the Alt-Right folks keep on pretending that she committed all these crimes, and all the other lies. Why wasn't she prosecuted? Trump had his little toadies in charge of the Justice Dept for FOUR YEARS. Yet they weren't able to find anything to charge her with. Were they that incomptent?

I can find fault with this. I do sometimes post topics, but because they'd usually be about UK politics no-one really cares. However, if you are being honest instead of just trying to find fault with how I post you'd admit that I do post and defend my political opinions on a regular basis.

Don, we can not even hope for justice in the Senate or from the Supreme Court. What we can hope for is a drawn out and well presented case that proves Trumps guilt to any logical mind. Then, with luck, that truth can be hung around the necks of enough R senators who voted not guilty to cost them in their next election. The sad reality is that our Constitution and our system of government has been shown to be something less than a beacon of democracy to the rest of the world. Worse, we apparently also don't have the mechanisms to fix it.

LOL! He reminds me of a rat terrier that vigorously continues shaking a rat long after the rat has expired. But he does provide a service in attacking the bullshit from people on my Ignore List, who I don't have the time to waste on reading, let alone answering.

Well, sure, the economy is in the shitter and 2020 is now tied with 2016 as the hottest year ever. But at least we finished the big, beautiful wall that keeps out all illegal immigrants, the deficit is zero, Obamacare has been repealed and replaced, COVID-19 was stopped in its tracks in April, Trump's supporters are enabling a smooth transfer of power and Trump is leaving office with the respect and admiration of the country for a job well done. Right?
