    He had just turned 65 and had a couple of serious comorbidities. We were all so proud of him. In August, he went back to his original AA meeting place to receive and accept his 40 year chip. He was a man of great intestinal fortitude. I spoke with him ten minutes before he went on the ventilator. "Cheese" you need to use that same fortitude you have with Alcohol to get thru this. You can do this. He had a sense that he wasn't going to come out of this and he didn't. Sorry, I ramble.

    Everyone knows it's only a Climate Agreement if it's from the Champagne region of France, otherwise it's just Sparkling Greenie Plans.

    Not sure if anything similar was posted elsewhere, but this one is popular outside of the US;

    Ted Cruz is no moron, really. He easily could be pandering, or he could have an ignorant staffie who mans his Twitter. If he's pandering, it'll eventually catch up with him (couldn't happen to a nicer guy). Wendy P.

    Don't forget to thank God for blessing you with a new president.

    There’s a hole in the world. Only he could fill it. I’m so sorry. Wendy P.

    There are still plenty of a$$holes who refuse to wear masks or keep a distance, because it infringes on their supposed rights.

    I bought a motorcycle before I took up skydiving. By the time I started jumping I already knew her attitude, because she said as much when I bought the Harley: “Neither you nor your brother are stupid people. Staying inside trying to be ‘safe’ all the time isn’t living. I trust you both to be smart about anything you take up.” she came out to the DZ when she was in town for visits. She knows I love it, but has no interest in doing it herself. But she does enjoy sitting in the shade and watching jumpers come in! My father and his wife, OTOH, think I’m insane.

    That's the thing. It was always there in front of our faces if we only stopped to look. No media required. How any Trump supporter can say anything in support of their votes after the Trump fomented insurrection at the nations Capitol with the goal of overturning a legitimate Presidential election is a sad commentary. You would think that would be a line no one would cross but apparently not.

    It sounds as if this has been in use since December. Covid isn't a joke and it shouldn't take direct anecdotes for people to wake up. Yet even now people are getting lackadaisical about safe procedures. How old was you buddy?

    Nah, I just do that when I have to make frequent stops on one trip. No need to constantly take it off and put it back on, just easier to keep it on. I could care less what other people think of it.

    Meh, I don’t see anything in the SIM against a B License jumper doing a Mr. Bill and then using said B License jumper as a paper weight or dropping them off on the back of a wingsuit. It seems as safe as a regular Mr. Bill and safer than doing CRW with a B-License holder - which is typically seen as perfectly acceptable. Have to admit, that video is pretty bad ass.

    Hi John, I am no sociologist. However, it seems to me that they were not thinking of any outcome. That is still true today. IMO they were a backlash to a black man being in the White House; along with a lot of what Joe Weber just posted. Jerry Baumchen

    I guess the best way to illustrate my point is by way of example. Citizens of Alaska receive an annual dividend of as much as $2000+, Saudis get even more from the bounty provided by the oil and gas industries. In other words, oil and gas are SUBSIDIZING the citizens not the other way around. Juxtapose that to the situation in California and Germany where citizens are paying sky high electricity prices to SUBSIDIZE renewables. I really don’t get why folks are having such a hard time wrapping their brain around this simple reality.
