4 pointsYou are not a patriot, Ron. Oxford Dictionary definition: A person who vigorously supports their country and is prepared to defend it against enemies or detractors. If you truly supported America then you would support the very processes that combined together make it a country. But you do not. You want things changed to fit your personal likes. That is different. Also, you enjoy complaining and fervently awaiting SHTF and the Apocalypse from the safety of your rocking chair but given the call to arms by Trump to go to the nations Capitol to play act patriot games you stayed home so as not to miss a minute of Brian Kilmeade and Fox and Friends. That was like the big enchilada and holy grail all advertised in advance and approved by your leader and yet you just chilled and waited for others to do your work. You blew it.

3 pointsThe best proof that it was not Antifa was that Trump was giddy and wandering around the White House bragging about how great it was. This is a guy who runs for the basement the instant there's a scary BLM protest anywhere nearby. He knew that all the violence and vitriol were directed at his enemies. He knew exactly what he had done, and what his people were doing.

2 pointsThe first time I heard the term "chin diaper" was in an episode of South Park, and it did not mean just a mask, but a mask improperly worn down around the chin, instead of across the nose and mouth.

2 pointsNah, I just do that when I have to make frequent stops on one trip. No need to constantly take it off and put it back on, just easier to keep it on. I could care less what other people think of it.

1 pointAnyone know what happened with Blue Skies Mag? No new online issues since early last year. Website mostly dormant. Haven’t been able to reach anyone.

1 pointExcatly. You are loosing (sic) the argument because you are just a troll. That's just the nature of a discussion forum. When you post something that is so manifestly wrong in such a large number of ways, you get a large number of replies because everyone who wants to can point out a unique way in which you've fucked up. But hell, even if we accepted your logic don't you have a larger number of posts in this thread than any other individual? Surely, since you have posted so much in opposition to the other people commenting, it must mean that they've really hit your nerves, yes?

1 pointThey had breached the door. They hadn't completely opened it, but they were through it. She was attempting to climb through the hole they had made. The cop didn't just shoot blindly through the door, he targeted her. The truly funny part about it is how many of the Alt-Right folks scream & yell about the 2nd A and their 'right to self defense'. One of the cornerstones that they like to tout is "Castle Doctrine". The key principle of that is the idea that anyone forcibly entering an occupied dwelling is demonstrating 'intent to inflict death or great bodily harm' on the occupants. From a practical standpoint, it means that if someone breaks into my home while I'm inside, I can use deadly force. The intruder need not be armed, they need not make a verbal threat, they don't even need to 'advance menacingly' towards me. The act of forcibly entering is enough to permit me to legally use deadly force. And while the room they were breaking into is not a 'dwelling', the chants of "Hang Pence" and other actions by the insurrectionists made it pretty clear they weren't there for a friendly conversation. Funny how the Alt-Right types completely ignore those 'inconvenient truths'.

1 pointwhile i am an extremely easy going person in real life, sometimes something has to give. it's a damned good thing that you and i aren't in the same room drinking while this conversation is going on. having said that, i will address the question as if it were just that. some people actually understand how things work and don't need to ask ourselves why something that was not only formed over the course of over 400 years could not be just reversed in eight years, but even if it WERE possible, those of us who actually listen to and care about others also know that systemic means (paraphrasing here, that means putting it in my own words from memory, i could be wrong, you should look it up) built into the system. to be sure, you are most definitely a racist, and that is your right. most republicans are also racist, and that is their right. hell, everyone has a prejudice, that is a fact. it only becomes a problem when we start letting it take over our lives. when lots of people are saying the same thing, and have been for decades, maybe you should start listening. maybe we all should. the nation was founded on a faulty foundation and it needs fixed. fixing a foundation is tricky and doesn't always work. in this case, it is the only option besides throwing in the towel, because if we were to try a constitutional convention today we would be so fucked it wouldn't be america, it would be amazonland or some shit. so we need to work together to fix shit, and that means dumbass racists need to keep their opinions inside their homes where it belongs. every racist. period. i don't often say this, but my prejudice is obese folks. makes me cringe when i see one. but ya know what? nobody hardly knows (until now) that and i never act on it. i have some large friends, and half my family is also large. i have even been with larger women. it stays the fuck inside my head and never affects how i deal with anyone, as it should. i don't have all the answers, nobody does. but i have some, and most aren't mine, they come from folks a whole lot better at this shit than me. get your head out of your fourth point of contact and start coming up with your own that are workable and stop with this bullshit. or just drop the pretenses and admit it. either way, you're wasting a lot of time going backwards.

1 pointA friend of mine bought new nylon handles for his Starlite rig after demonstrating to himself the breakage with his main handle, and then for some folks at the DZ with his reserve handle -- just wham it on the ground in the cold. Not a lot of plastic handles after that. Wendy P.

1 pointthis should get reported as a threat. glad you're not too scared to put those threats in writing. you're not a patriot, you're a terrorist. the folks calling themselves patriots are in fact terrorists. you're not gonna go watch the inauguration, are you? i'd stay away if i were you, you may get accidentally swept into a federal charge just trying to watch history being made...

1 pointIf I remember correctly a lot of them were first time drug offenses where the sentencing guidelines changed. These folks were non-violent offenders, had been good prisoners, taken education courses and done other things to demonstrate the willingness to change their lives and to make good use of a second chance.

1 pointI don't know if anyone is still "listening" to this old thread, but in February 1979 I had both main and reserve plastic ripcord handles break on one jump. I had no idea why the main totaled, I had the handle (broken off) in my hand. When I went for the reserve it wasn't there; I thought I had a floating reserve handle (which had actually fractured when I first grabbed for it). All that was left was a plastic stub on the swaged end of the reserve cable, sticking out the end of the cable housing which I had followed down to pull, deploying very close to Sparta IL airport beacon. 11 second reserve ride on that 26' LoPo. I didn't know the cause until after I landed. I'm holding the main ripcord handle, but the rest is still tucked in its pocket. Someone ran up to me holding the reserve ripcord, shouting "Look, there's no handle!" Fragments were later recovered when snow melted. I still have what's left of those handles, after having submitted them for inspection. The replacement plastic main handle the company sent me lasted three years, breaking on a winter dive in '82-83.

1 pointThe internet said so, so it must be true. I guess an actual difference is the woman on the left only pays lip service to fundamentals of the book she is holding. The woman on the right actually follows the tenants of her book.

1 pointActually George Bush the first only had one term as well, and he did pardon a solidly larger number of people. So I'll hang loose for now on my opinion on this, unless that $2 mil pardon racket is corroborated. Wendy P.

1 pointIf they're dummies but you still can't defend against anything they say... see if you can complete that thought.
-
1 pointWho do you think you're fooling? The article describes liberals as fearful, irrational, childish, obsessive, incapable of understanding science and much more. Find me one description of conservatives with negative connotations in there. This ploy you have of posting something intentionally outrageous and then immediately backing away to a much more modest position which you can look reasonable defending against the angry mob is beyond transparent. It's straight out of the 'radical right wing trolling for dummies' playbook.

1 pointSometimes a clearly-defined mission really helps — they’re trying to save lives and preserve hospital capacity. The vast majority really don’t care about politics as it intersects their real job. That’s also true of a lot of election workers, a lot of police, and even programmers. Wendy P.

1 pointI will never forget his kicking the windsock while hook turning into the Coolidge hanger. Really impressive when he got it right (and yes he did miss on occasion). This was the late 70's and "Hang Load" on 33Z was the picture to have. Giles ran the DZ and Zing did his best to spot the C-54. Black Val, Slocum, Irv, Tom, Rick, Judy, and many other excellent people.

1 pointSad news. Can someone explain what happened? There are 3 kinds of people in this world, those that know how to count, and those who don't.
