This is Trump’s biggest opportunity to show how the NYT is fake news. All he has to do is release his tax returns and show what they are reporting is false.

Been there, done that. Most notable when I got my first Rx for astigmatism... it visually "raised" the ground ~5' when I first started wearing them. Let us assume you are flying fine now with out them... Let us assume you are coming up on the winter season and jump much less during the "off season"... Then I would suggest, keep wearing them day-to-day, but NOT for jumping for now. When you come back full time in the spring, THEN follow our colleagues advice on how to get used to jumping with them and use them on EVERY jump from then on. That way, your eyes will get used to how they perceive stairs, curbs, etc... before you need to "see" when to flare (over the winter). Personally, unless you are already using a full-face helmet, I would also recommend something like "Bugeye Bobster" from SportRx. (I can't hit their site right this sec, but I think mine are the 2). Good luck and refresh your PLF training. JW

This was the court fight that was finally adjudicated earlier this month -- required the release of the tax returns to the NY district that was hearing the fraud cases. No leaking, no timing issues (except how it happened to take until now because of the challenge of the WH to the subpoena). Had the defendant just complied with the subpoena two years* ago, we would have been over it by now. *I don't recall exactly when it all started, nor which district is prosecuting the case (don't have time to look it all up again), but no one here should be ignorant of the court battle for those returns.

The election was 4 years ago.

Bingo. I had long hoped to be able to vote for him as president some day. But then when that day came, he campaigned on the platform of wanting to be Dubya 2.0, and chose a fruit-loop for a running mate. So I didn't vote for him.

As a liberal who was very interested in voting for him, I have anecdotal evidence that your contention is not true. Wolfriverjoe has stated similar (although he was a Republican at the time), and two data points is more than enough for your average person any more. Sarah Palin was a joke of a VP candidate; underqualified (an uncompleted governorship of the third least-populated state is hardly sufficient), and more interested in campaigning than in learning anything about craft. After all, how hard can it be to govern? Wendy P.

I have no idea what this blocked poster is on about. But I can read the title due to the woefully insufficient blocking this site provides and clearly he does not want to talk about something but none the less feels the need to put that something's name in the title of the thread. Could it possibly be another troll of some sort?

Hi jakee, ^^^^ This It is always interesting to me when our foreign friends know more about our elections than our own citizens do. Jerry Baumchen

McCain probably would have won handily in 2000 had he won the primaries. But winning isn't what some folks want; it's winning with a "fuck you" attached. Wendy P.

Exactly, that was his fuckup. He wasn't a fringe right populist but during his campaign he inexplicably succumbed to the advice that he should be. Just because Trump won by being Trump doesn't mean that's the only way. McCain could have won by being McCain.

No, quite the opposite. The Dems had the majority of both houses of Congress when Obama was elected. He naively tried to reach out to the Republicans, who had already stated (McConnell) that their only priority would be not to pass anything promoted by the administration. The ACA should have been rammed through in the first year, without making 200 modifications to appease the R's. It would have been a better program, and you would have been able to keep your doctor (if you liked, and she didn't retire or go concierge).

Hard to believe that in 2020 developed countries are still politically and judicially being shaped by whether or not a woman should be allowed to make a decision regarding their own body. Of course all while loudly proclaiming how backwards islamic countries are......

I am a little nearsighted and also some other little visual defects...I drive with glasses and wear my glasses for most of the things I do. When I was jumping, I always jumped without my glasses. Each time I jumped with my glasses I flared lower and had lots of grass stains because of that. When starting jumping with your glasses, I recommend several very conservative approaches to get used to your "new" vision prior to going back to your "more enhanced" landing techniques (if any)

Hi Jeffsnephew, I was going through my AIT Army training at Ft. Gordon in 1984. I had a little over 500 jumps at the time. We were not allowed to have a car during this training so I would catch a ride to West Wind from a local jumper, Mike Delang was his name. I jumped there for a few months until I finished my AIT training. I went to the DZ for what I thought would be the last time. I was going to my next phase of training, Jump School at Ft. Benning, on Monday. I wouldn't have a car at jump school so this would be my last weekend at West Wind. I was saying my good byes to everyone for the last time , promising that I would be back to visit some day. When I went to Jeff to say good bye, he asked me if I might get any weekends off during jump school. I told him I had no idea. He said " well if you get a day off, come visit us" and he handed me the keys to the dropzone van. I was speechless. He said "use it as long as you need it". I will never forget the looks on the Black hats faces (jump school instructors) when I came rolling into Ft. Benning in a van with WEST WIND SKYDIVING CENTER plastered on the side of it. I was called out by the instructors the first day of training and dogged pretty hard for the entire training. It was a wonderful time in my life and your uncle was a big part of it. I got to go back to the DZ a few more times during my stay at Ft Benning. I can't remember exactly how I returned the van to Jeff before going to my permanent party station at FT. Bragg. I visited Jeff and Teresa on my way back from the Mardi Gras Boogie, I think it was 1985, It was the last time I got to see them. If you are still in contact with Teresa, please tell her I said hello. Thanks, Cliff .
