The instructors who have helped you back, ask them to watch a few of your landings and give you some advice on gear that may be suitable. Good used gear is a cheaper approach and allows you to gain experience before committing bigger bucks to more long term gear. This gear can often be sold on to fellow newer jumpers looking for 1st gear when your ready to downsize. Dont be in a rush to downsize.

7-8 years ago she was at the height of her ability to do the job. Why should someone who is one of the sharpest minds in the law quit when they still have years in them? Some people don't especially relish sitting in a bingo parlor wasting time until the grim reaper comes for them. I have read that she planned to retire when there was a woman in the oval office, which she (and most people) thought would be 2017. I've also read that McConnell and others have been pressuring Thomas to retire for the same reason, and he has (so far) refused for the same reason: he loves the job and thinks no-one else would be better. Probably the best idea I've seen is to limit terms to 20 years, and stagger them so each president automatically gets 2 positions per term to fill. That way it won't be possible to stack the court so ideologies get locked in for generations and become totally disconnected from American society.

Yes, it is allowed in USA. Look for a DZ that has a AFF/wind tunnel program. Other DZs allow several tandems then AFF with one instructor. I used to offer wind tunnel time, five static line (or IAD) jumps then jump #6 was AFF with one instructor. The wind tunnel AFF programs are best, getting 20 to 30 minutes tunnel time before your first jump will lower your stress when the door opens at altitude, you'll have practiced basic skills for stable free fall and your awareness will be expanded. Continue your wind tunnel time and air skills will advance quickly.

Tandems instructors don't need to be Skygods and many aren't because they get stuck hucking drogues all day, but they are complicated jumps due to the equipment and the unpredictable cargo strapped on the front, and TI's need be consistent and reliable. You claim you have a tandem rating, so you should be familiar enough with some of the tandem fatality reports. Things can go really bad on tandems when procedures aren't followed. All of those fatalities prove the point that they aren't just another jump. Your average 4-way belly doesn't normally lead to a drogue entanglement if someone fucks ups. The jumpers on your average FF jump don't have a malfunction decision tree nearly as long or as complicated. I am trying to figure out your angle on all these asinine posts about tandems. I think I am settling on the fact that you were a shitty instructor, which is ironic considering how "simple" you make it out to be.
