Hi Keith, You & I disagree on a number of things; but, this is one ( among others ) that we are in lock-step. From your link: “Tell him, ‘Hell, no,’” the MP commander told me emphatically. Jerry Baumchen

Well, let's see... Top headlines: Coronavirus. The US has 4% of the world's population, and 25% of the cases & deaths. Those rather grim facts can be laid almost entirely at Trump's feet. He ignored the problem for a couple months, pretended it wasn't serious for another month, tried to force the country to re-open, held 'virus briefings' that were both pathetic and funny - thinly disguised campaign speeches that were so full of lies you couldn't keep up. Now, the much of the rest of the world is getting it under control, and we are seeing a million new cases in 15 days. So he finally says 'it's going to get worse'. No Shit Sherlock. Protests. The BLM protests haven't died down a whole lot. So, in order to both pretend he's "Law & Order" and to distract from corona, he sends unidentifed 'federal officers' in to Portland. Where there's been a lot of graffitti, but very little actual damage or violence... Until his thugs showed up. And are now 'proactively detaining' people. As in arresting them before they commit an actual crime. Russia. He had a chat with his master, Putin, the other day. Despite the overwheming information about Russia paying bounties for dead US soldiers, he didn't bring it up. His "Entourage". The shit his kids and their S/Os are pulling on a daily basis is really fucked up. Ivanka with Goya, Don Jr's sqeeze abandoning infected campaign workers in the middle of nowhere while she takes a private jet home (at the campaign's expense, of course), the list goes on and on. Look at the 'top stories' on any news site. See how many of them are about Trump or his minions. It's a fucking train wreck. Unfortunately, it's going to wreck the country. And it's almost entirely Trump's fault. Either through his action or his inaction. I've reached the point where I can no longer understand why anyone would actually support that fool. It seems to be that either they are so stupid and gullible that they are still being conned. Whether it's the 'socialsim' crap, or the 'great leader' crap, they still buy it. Or, it's that they are willing to ignore the lies, the crimes, the malfeasance and corruption because they support his racism and hatred. They support the sending of 'storm troops' to Portland because they are beating up on the 'liberals'. It goes along with some of the Trump signs I've seen. "Trump - Make Liberals Cry Again" Really. Their entire focus is on hurting people they don't like. Its fucking sick.

Military veterans said they banded together to protect the free speech of demonstrators. "A week after federal officers in Portland, Ore., brutally struck a Navy veteran who said he had approached them simply to ask a question, a group of military veterans on Friday joined the front lines of the city’s growing protests. Duston Obermeyer, a Marine Corps veteran, said he and other veterans were there to make sure federal officers did not infringe on the free speech of protesters, who numbered in the thousands. “Our veterans are here specifically to support the rights of the protesters to protest,” said Mr. Obermeyer, who said he had deployed three times during a decade in the Marines." The question to be asked is why has US schools failed so miserably in teaching the values associated with the US constitution? Why is it left to vets to protect not only free speech. But the abuse of power of the presidency?

Hi Keith, Thanks for the info. That is one thing I like about SC, I learn a lot here that I would not otherwise. Jerry Baumchen

Facts are facts, but I get your point and it's been the same as mine in previous threads. And, I've been saying "Police should not be dressed like soldiers" for awhile. https://www.washingtonpost.com/outlook/2020/07/20/mark-hertling-police-portland/

Why Tesla has the most loyal customers. Sept. 6, 2014 Forbes, that would be the same source you quoted.1. A Good Experience Creates Loyal Customers Tesla has the most loyal customers of any car company with an overall satisfaction rating of 90%. A staggering 80% of customers buy or lease another Tesla for their next car. Some customers were even willing to wait years to get their Model 3s.Feb. 2019 Mercedes Benz customer loyalty 2019 44% Gee that would be 1/2 the loyalty of Tesla. Brent, quit while you're behind! You dig the hole deeper and deeper with every example. You haven't graduated from trump University have you?

This is a bit late, but sad to hear of Rick's passing. I've been out of the sport and out of touch with Rick for 36 years but something came up got me thinking of him & Googled this thread. I made my first jump at "The Ranch" in Coolidge, AZ on September 30, 1978 at age 26 when Rick and his business partner Clay Muise ran the jump school and did my first two-way freefall hookup with Rick as instructor/jumpmaster on my 20th jump on February 11, 1979 and was shocked to get a kiss pass from Rick. Back in those days there were no AFF or tandem jumps yet and everyone had to go through static line progression jumping old Army surplus rounds and belly wart reserves. Conventional wisdom was you should have at least 100 jumps before even trying a square canopy. Those were the days of balloon and "silly suits". I went on for five more years and 400 jumps, many of which were from the same Twin Beech N9533Z that did the hang loads featured in Carl Boenish's 1970s "Sky Dive" film. I finally left the sport in March, 1984. Have many of Rick's signatures in my logbooks which I've saved & treasured to this day. Also had the privilege of meeting the late Carl Boenish once at Coolidge during a boogie back around 1980-81. Toots for 'tudes Rick, & rest in peace. Blue Skies. Since the right wing is in charge of the CDC, that would be right wing hypocrisy.

It's called stopping the insanity of a domestic terrorist group. All social media platforms are removing the q bullshit, why is it tolerated here? Russia has defeated us and we are destroying ourselves with this type of insanity and disinformation. As a veteran with a decent sense of patriotism, it disgusts me. Treason is practiced and celebrated now.

Why? When you have cancer, it tends to be the focus of your thoughts. The US is the richest and most powerful nation in the world, and it has a cancer at its heart.

You don't have to update anything, there are no positive aspects of anti-American conspiracies and the drivel of an internet presence.
