I think your dispute is with the DZO. You might kindly ask if they would be so good as to actually train the pilots in the future. You might point out, as reasonably as possible, that knowing how high above the ground ones jumpers are while in flight is a very important part of jump piloting.

Well, let's see... Top headlines: Coronavirus. The US has 4% of the world's population, and 25% of the cases & deaths. Those rather grim facts can be laid almost entirely at Trump's feet. He ignored the problem for a couple months, pretended it wasn't serious for another month, tried to force the country to re-open, held 'virus briefings' that were both pathetic and funny - thinly disguised campaign speeches that were so full of lies you couldn't keep up. Now, the much of the rest of the world is getting it under control, and we are seeing a million new cases in 15 days. So he finally says 'it's going to get worse'. No Shit Sherlock. Protests. The BLM protests haven't died down a whole lot. So, in order to both pretend he's "Law & Order" and to distract from corona, he sends unidentifed 'federal officers' in to Portland. Where there's been a lot of graffitti, but very little actual damage or violence... Until his thugs showed up. And are now 'proactively detaining' people. As in arresting them before they commit an actual crime. Russia. He had a chat with his master, Putin, the other day. Despite the overwheming information about Russia paying bounties for dead US soldiers, he didn't bring it up. His "Entourage". The shit his kids and their S/Os are pulling on a daily basis is really fucked up. Ivanka with Goya, Don Jr's sqeeze abandoning infected campaign workers in the middle of nowhere while she takes a private jet home (at the campaign's expense, of course), the list goes on and on. Look at the 'top stories' on any news site. See how many of them are about Trump or his minions. It's a fucking train wreck. Unfortunately, it's going to wreck the country. And it's almost entirely Trump's fault. Either through his action or his inaction. I've reached the point where I can no longer understand why anyone would actually support that fool. It seems to be that either they are so stupid and gullible that they are still being conned. Whether it's the 'socialsim' crap, or the 'great leader' crap, they still buy it. Or, it's that they are willing to ignore the lies, the crimes, the malfeasance and corruption because they support his racism and hatred. They support the sending of 'storm troops' to Portland because they are beating up on the 'liberals'. It goes along with some of the Trump signs I've seen. "Trump - Make Liberals Cry Again" Really. Their entire focus is on hurting people they don't like. Its fucking sick.

It's called stopping the insanity of a domestic terrorist group. All social media platforms are removing the q bullshit, why is it tolerated here? Russia has defeated us and we are destroying ourselves with this type of insanity and disinformation. As a veteran with a decent sense of patriotism, it disgusts me. Treason is practiced and celebrated now.

And Airdvr makes his play for stupid post of the month. The woman is his wife, the guy is a close friend, and he tested negative the same day.

Why? When you have cancer, it tends to be the focus of your thoughts. The US is the richest and most powerful nation in the world, and it has a cancer at its heart.

While there's no way Trump is thinking about this, school is important in how we live and support kids. A significant number get healthy food there that doesn't come as much at home, and working parents, particularly the working poor, depend on public schools for day care so they can work. For the kids who have enough, it's more dangerous to go to schools. For kids who don't, it might be more debatable. I just wish the Trumpies were thinking about that. Wendy P.

Is there any place in the US right now (and not asking in that fashion to discount other countries, just want to specify the target of the question) where lack of ventilators is an issue? Early in the pandemic it was a big concern, and as a result production of ventilators ramped fairly quickly. I've been following ventilator usage stats in a few major areas of TX and not really seeing ventilators getting close to full capacity...I'm not sure if that's due to local demand or if it's just that ventilators didn't turn out to be required in as high of numbers as they were thought to be in the very early days. Early on, when all we knew was that "this is highly contagious and severely affects the respiratory system", ventilators were legitimately a huge concern, but in hindsight was it that big of an issue? This morning I was at the office of a major electronics manufacturer who's building some equipment that my company makes, and they've switched into full-on ventilator mode and are cranking them out as fast as possible based on orders that were submitted many many months ago. To be clear, I'm not trying to downplay the pandemic here in the least...A massive uptick in cases and a shortage of ICU beds are obviously prevalent in many areas (and I assume that a vent is likely of limited use if an ICU bed is not available), but are there any places where a lack of ventilators is the bottleneck to delivering care?
