3 pointsNo apologies necessary. I was sort of replying to Turtles post supporting vouchers. But i don't like debating with him for obvious reasons. IMO good schools are the best way to lift poor people from a economic malaise. It is for certain the most effective way for countries to increase overall productivity, GDP, reduce unemployment, etc.

2 pointsThis whole pardoning thing needs to be revisited. Personally I don’t think any individual should have the ability to sidestep the justice system like that.

2 pointsThat he said it immediately without knowing the facts as found by the trier of fact tells you all you need to know about how fucked we are if we do not resist. I'm thinking it's time for a 20 Million Patriot March on Washington demanding that Trump resign. There is no defense better than an aggressive offense. Of course, we can always continue to deplore it all.

2 pointsBill, I for one am very excited about the future of EV. In my town; there are currently 157 EV Charging stations they keep popping up like spring wildflowers. I try to stay up on it. Last October, Google added an EV charger search function EDIT: Now if Harley would make an EV Road Glide - my world would be complete :)

1 pointBeautiful world wars. I think my dad would disagree. He was the tail gunner in this B-24.

1 pointAll of these things sound pretty much the same as CAA Part 115 that all commercial skydiving in New Zealand has operated under for the past 5 years or so, all in response to 9 fatalities in a jump plane following engine failure shortly after takeoff. As there was no available manifest/operational software available to perform slot specific w&b for each load, I developed the operational software for my mates drop zones to manage all of these requirements regarding w&b, recurrency, CAA reporting and much more. Since doing that 4 years ago, I certainly look differently at short body Caravans and PAC750s trying to board 16 jumpers and a pilot. It's a very rare load that I can keep 17 bodies on those aircraft within COG limits.

1 pointThat's funny as all hell. There have been a number of investigations that showed the exact opposite of what that fool is claiming. But, after all, it's OANN. Alt-Right propaganda, straight from Putin's machine. 8645110320

1 pointIt's the grammar: he used "there" and "their" correctly. When people who actually mean that shit type it out, they always mix those up....that's how you know not to take him seriously they're

1 pointSame here! A nice fat electric bagger with a days range and a truck big enough to haul the toy hauler fifth wheel. Just the lack of oil changes on a diesel would save me a lot of money every year! 15 quarts of synthetic diesel oil is pricey.

1 pointPrivate bone spurs orders the beating of 53 yo USN veteran. Chickenhawks with Barr nodding approval are reenacting the Beer Hall Putsch. A Navy Veteran Had a Question for the Feds in Portland. They Beat Him in Response. The veteran said he wanted to ask the officers whether they felt their actions violated the Constitution. Video shows them tear-gassing him and smashing his hand with baton blows. "Christopher J. David had largely ignored the protests in downtown Portland, Ore., but when he saw videos of unidentified federal agents grabbing protesters off the street and throwing them into rented minivans, he felt compelled to act. Mr. David, a Navy veteran, said that federal agents’ use of violent tactics against protesters, without the support of the mayor, the governor or local law enforcement, was a violation of the oaths that agents take to support, uphold and defend the Constitution. And so, on Saturday, he took a bus downtown to ask the officers how they squared their actions with that oath. Instead of getting an answer, Mr. David was beaten with a baton by one federal officer as another doused him with pepper spray, according to video footage of the encounter. After he walked away from the confrontation, Mr. David was taken to a nearby hospital, where a specialist said his right hand was broken and would require surgery to install pins, screws and plates. He declined pain medication." Hero.

1 pointI'm in your club. Fallen down more than most (even more now that I'm a little older), and have never had a jump where I was too injured to make the next jump. Wendy P.

1 pointSome more good news: ======================== Capital Dynamics, the Swiss asset manager that is now a heavyweight solar investor, will partner with energy developer Tenaska on a 4.8-gigawatt solar portfolio in the Midwest and the Southeast, the companies announced Wednesday. The two will work together on developing 24 solar projects expected to come online by 2023, building on a 2018 partnership to cooperatively develop another 14 projects in six Midwestern states. ======================== That's the equivalent of a big coal plant in terms of energy output. More coal shutdowns coming. https://www.greentechmedia.com/articles/read/capital-dynamics-and-tenaska-partner-on-4.8-gigawatts-of-solar-development

1 pointHaha yes exactly! Well I believe it was just mental exhaustion after that week. Actually feel great now after some time off and ready to finish the course :)

1 pointDo you reckon he was praying he wouldn't get it before he got it or was he maybe distracted by praying for winning lottery numbers? I don't see any reason to kick this guy or his family when they're down, nor was that my intention. You guys have made your point. Let it serve as an example and move on. May God be merciful to us all when we make mistakes, especially if it's a fatal one.

1 point"If you ain't scared, you don't fully understand the situation." "We don't do this 'cause we're fearless, we LIKE being scared." "Blue Skies, Black Death!" This sport is supposed to be scary, that's part of why it's so much fun. Eat that shit up. The girl that draws those duck cartoons that Joe referenced above, I was one of her instructors. I think it was her level 6 or 7, we got to the loading area and she asked me, 'When does the fear go away?' I kind of chuckled, then called for everyone's attention. 'Ask them what you just asked me.' She did, and everyone immediately started laughing out loud. Not AT her, WITH her. Have yourself a laugh with all of us, and enjoy. That said, don't ever get complacent. This is a sport of attention to detail. Every detail, every time. Be alert, be attentive, be deliberate, be wise. Some day, you'll knowingly pass this on to someone else.

1 pointWell thanks for support on this subject. I really don’t answer things like this. First of all the picture is 3 years old, second of all there are a lot of small DZ that will not belong to U.S.P.A because of the cost and what you receive in return. I am a USPA rated jumpmaster and instructor. Yes, my staff may not be current on their due payments with USPA however does that make them an unsafe instructor? They have hundreds of jumps each and have been in the sport for years. We are able to offer the low price because like me, my staff love the sport and want to enable everyone to skydive so every hour they spend is volunteer. Beer light comes on after last load is up! If you arte not skydiving you can have a beer anytime you want. 8 hours from bottle to throttle, is the law and we enforce it. The barbeques and bonfires have upset the other DZ (tandem mill) at times mostly when their staff sneaks down to join us careful you will get fired! Sorry if my spelling is off I don't type well but at least "husker" will have something to attack next. If we are so unsafe why not check and cross our accident rate against any other DZ. I unlike Husker am proud to post my name (this Email is my wife’s) Thank you for your support and come out anytime our door is always open! Skip Moreau lic #49493
