On mini-risers they'll stick out before they take a set, or if they take a set without the tab tucked in. So if I'm putting gear together for a customer I know isn't amazing at noticing things about their gear, I'll tack them. I also tack wayward main slinks that come into my loft sticking out of the riser. The tacking allows the slink to be "trained" to stay inside the riser.

Depends where you are in Europe. Albatros (Germany), Basik (France), Thomas Sports & XD Sports (UK), Wingstore (Luxembourg) or Sky-shop (Lithuania) are a few. Also extremtextil in Germany often have 'seconds' from Porcher which are good enough for patches as the main rejection reason is normally sections of crooked ripstop or spot flaws. Edit: They got PN1 at the moment which is Porcher's F111 for 9.90 eur/m which is a pretty decent price.https://www.extremtextil.de/en/ripstop-nylon-parachute-fabric-pn1-uncoated-calendered-30den-40g-sqm-2nd-choice.html

Not so much. He is just calling attention to, and recognizing that any disagreement with (Insert specificity) that most of the more vocal left crowd, here in Speakers Corner, will label you as a (Pick your relative "ist"). I would give an example - but I don't want the ubiquitous ridicule. ETA - That is mostly because it is very difficult to both, a) Prove a negative, and b) change a closed mind.

From my perspective, there are people like this in every generation. People who knew Muslims were evil and must be slaughtered; God said so! People who knew that Jews were genetically inferior, and must be cleared away for the master race. People who totally supported women, as long as they stayed in the kitchen and didn't make silly demands to vote, own property or have a say in who they had sex with. People who knew that blacks were just naturally shiftless, and were not suited for many jobs. Sure, let them plant crops, but don't let them get above their station; we'll even give them their own bathrooms! People who knew that gays were all child-assaulting perverts, just waiting to get their hands on your 8 year old. And fortunately, when you look at history, those people always fail in the long run.

I do not tack reserve slinks for the reasons mentioned above. I set them by pulling and then just let them sit nicely in the pocket created in riser.

I started jumping the same year as you, but only have about 10% of the jumps you accumulated. I never worked in the industry and strictly kept it a weekend hobby. You're exhibiting classic signs of burnout. It happens to any job or any hobby that you work too intensely on without taking breaks. As you already decided, take a step back, relax, and don't burn yourself out on the next hobby you choose. With time, the feeling can come back :)

Thanks a lot for all the responses... Helps already to see that I'm not the first one to have that kind of skydiving-burn-out happen to one. I think I am just going to ask to reduce my time spent at the dropzone as I see this as the only chance in bringing my passion for the sport back.

And sometimes those perverts are gay. And sometimes they are Catholic priests. Most of the time, though, they are straight men. Simple enough.
