If it requires belonging to some group, no. If it means I'm against fascism, yes. If it means I think all government, or all conservatives, or all police, are evil, then no. So 2 out of three means a "no" vote. But then I'm not real big on formal groups that seem to demand allegiance. Wendy P.

It's too bad that sometimes posters that I am ignoring show up in quotes. But when it does happen it usually confirms that they are not worth my time to read.

He was just trying to convey that he supports cops who knock down 75 year olds and almost kill them. But then it went through the crazy straw filter of the loser liberal media and came out as something that everyone thought was bad. It's the media's fault for reporting that, not his fault.

These are brilliant -- this is a young woman who makes videos of herself saying Trump's words. She gets the breathing and expressions just right, so other than the incongruity, she's utterly believable. I had to do something like this in high school for drama class, and wasn't even close. I'm not at all big on videos, and absolutely loved this one. Wendy P.

Don't you blame Mexico for your problems? You were a big supporter of building a wall between the two countries as a fix to your problems. Don't you blame MS-13 on El Salvadore, even though the gang started in California? Aren't you blaming the US pandemic response on China? Blaming the last president on Kenya. Trade imbalance on China. Maine's lobster industry on the EU........ All that to say, Canada takes full responsibility for the actions of that Nova Scotian madman. But the post did indicate how the behaviour in the US, how American society impacts our lives. Which was the point.

I answered no because there's little context for this except the loosely organized group in the US referred to as ANTIFA. While some of my views align with their goals I do not agree with any of their methods. They are a mob at best and use force to elicit change and to suppress speech, the exact thing they claim to fight against.

Punctuation and inflection is very important when you say that . . .

I agree with the first two. However, I think you may have let the media define the third one for you. It's like asking someone who watches only FOX News whether or not they are liberal, and having them say "if being liberal means I hate the police, and want everyone to be gay and on welfare, then definitely not."

I'm sure Canadians have plenty of better things to do, but this was a thread mostly about the US. The US has a much larger impact on Canada than vice-versa, so they are discussing something that impacts them. And yeah, if someone has to be perfect before they can criticize, we're all fucked. There's something to that "don't criticize the little bitty problem the other guy has when yours is so much bigger," but somewhere there's a discussion medium. That's the place where you can admit that you're not perfect, while talking about someone else's faults, or let others, who also agree they're not perfect, talk about our faults. Admitting fault doesn't weaken us. Wendy P.

Nice, I've never liked the idea of planning to throw your cutaway or ripcord for this reason. I don't doubt my ability to pull, I don't doubt the ability of objects in the air stream to foul a canopy.

I don't come around here much anymore but wanted to recognize Perris and Dan BC in particular, for their Covid 19 pandemic response. Not just with decision making but _communication_ as well. This is the most challenging time for our generation and there really are no "good decisions" given the circumstances, but I think Perris and Dan BC have really risen to the occasion and have done a very admirable job. All the best with the reopening!

Hi Seth, Hey, don't put me there just yet; OK? I'm trying to keep the Reaper at bay. I think it was '67 when PCA OK'd 1800 openings for D-license holders. While we normally went to 3500 for 10+ sec delays, if the weather was bad & we could only get 1800 ft, up we went. Jerry Baumchen
