I think we can add unidentified federal troops to the list of signs of a Banana Republic.

"I'm not going to read anything that is written like a 12 year-old wrote it." Funny statement from someone who supports a political leader who talks like a 4 year old.

Fair enough and, for you, well said. Consider yourself ignored.

Bullshit. You constantly give credibility to people who have used language like that. The only reason you refuse to read it is that it doesn't square with what you already have determined.

You’re missing the point entirely. The Havok was designed for acro. The ATC was not. Comparing them doesn’t make sense, and you just sound like an idiot for bringing them up in the same conversation.

No, and that's the problem. Not everyone who saw the video knew it was wrong, not in the sense you imply. For example, the DA didn't "know" it was wrong in the sense that the bastard, and his asshole buddies, needed to be immediately locked up on murder charges. Of course looting and arson is wrong. But for just one second try to imagine living a life where you and your friends were not only deprived equal access to all society can offer, just owing to your skin color, but also subject to police harassment and murder. Then add to that the fact that the cop who killed someone who looked like you, or your family member would probably get away scot free. Can you imagine, for just one second, eventually being so pissed off you might want to break something? You know, just to remind yourself you aren't completely powerless in the face of what you deal with every damn day. Think about it.

There’s a difference between having your own echo chamber and being a masochist. I tend to read multiple news sources ranging from the BBC all the way through to Fox News. I’ve also got friends and family that are trump supporters and we have spirited debate. On here I’ve got you to represent the MAGA crowd, at least you’ve got the backbone to own your views, if nothing else I respect that. The key difference with Turtle is that I can’t figure out if he’s got no backbone at all and so can’t own his beliefs or is simply an outright troll.

Even if you're not going to read it, surely the point should be equally well made to you anyway? That Trump's behaviour and policies are so egregious that they pushed a lifelong conservative to write something so critical you thought it must be a far left hit-peice, and a hugely respected journalist and winner of numerous serious awards to resort to playground language to convey his strength of feeling. That's how bad Trump is.

Young King Arthur was ambushed and imprisoned by the monarch of a neighboring kingdom. The monarch could have killed him but was moved by Arthur's youth and ideals. So, the monarch offered him his freedom, as long as he could answer a very difficult question. Arthur would have a year to figure out the answer and, if after a year, he still had no answer, he would be put to death. The question?....What do women really want? Such a question would perplex even the most knowledgeable man, and to young Arthur, it seemed an impossible query. But, since it was better than death, he accepted the monarch's proposition to have an answer by year's end. He returned to his kingdom and began to poll everyone: the princess, the priests, the wise men and even the court jester. He spoke with everyone, but no one could give him a satisfactory answer. Many people advised him to consult the old witch, for only she would have the answer. But the price would be high; as the witch was famous throughout the kingdom for the exorbitant prices she charged. The last day of the year arrived and Arthur had no choice but to talk to the witch. She agreed to answer the question, but he would have to agree to her price first. The old witch wanted to marry Sir Lancelot, the most noble of the Knights of the Round Table and Arthur's closest friend! Young Arthur was horrified. She was hunchbacked and hideous, had only one tooth, smelled like sewage, made obscene noises, etc. He had never encountered such a repugnant creature in all his life. He refused to force his friend to marry her and endure such a terrible burden; but Lancelot, learning of the proposal, spoke with Arthur . He said nothing was too big of a sacrifice compared to Arthur's life and the preservation of the Round Table. Hence, a wedding was proclaimed and the witch answered Arthur's question thus: What a woman really wants, she answered...is to be in charge of her own life. Everyone in the kingdom instantly knew that the witch had uttered a great truth and that Arthur's life would be spared. And so it was, the neighboring monarch granted Arthur his freedom and Lancelot and the witch had a wonderful wedding. The honeymoon hour approached and Lancelot, steeling himself for a horrific experience, entered the bedroom. But, what a sight awaited him. The most beautiful woman he had ever seen lay before him on the bed. The astounded Lancelot asked what had happened The beauty replied that since he had been so kind to her when she appeared as a witch, she would henceforth, be her horrible deformed self only half the time and the beautiful maiden the other half. Which would he prefer? Beautiful during the day....or night? Lancelot pondered the predicament. During the day, a beautiful woman to show off to his friends, but at night, in the privacy of his castle, an old witch? Or, would he prefer having a hideous witch during the day, but by night, a beautiful woman for him to enjoy wondrous intimate moments? What would YOU do? What Lancelot chose is below. BUT....make YOUR choice before you scroll down below. OKAY? Noble Lancelot said that he would allow HER to make the choice herself. Upon hearing this, she announced that she would be beautiful all the time because he had respected her enough to let her be in charge of her own life. Now....what is the moral to this story? Scroll down The moral is..... If you don't let a woman have her own way.... Things are going to get ugly

FIFY "The Praetorians were known to engage in espionage, intimidation, arrests and killings to protect the interests of the Roman emperor. For clandestine operations, they may have employed a special wing of troops known as “speculatores.” Formerly a reconnaissance corps under the Roman Republic, by the imperial era this unit had graduated to serving as couriers and intelligence operatives in the service of the Caesar. Speculatores and other members of the Praetorians would disguise themselves as ordinary citizens at gladiator contests, theatrical performances and protests to monitor and arrest anyone who criticized the emperor. They also kept tabs on suspected enemies of the state, and in some cases they even secretly executed those judged to be an imminent threat to the emperor or his policies." This should be required reading its William Barr on his actions as a Praetorian Guard which he quotes directly.

In related news: Pickup trucks absolutely suck. They are literately slow as balls. I can out race one in my sleep with something even as simple as a sedan. Anyone who recommends a pickup truck clearly has absolutely no experience with performance driving.

Saturday May 23, 2020, Gary Morgan Passed away from a long fight with Cancer. Gary was owner / operator of Sky's The Limit Skydiving Center for around 30 years. As a Cessna DZ, he kept a great family feeling, welcoming anyone and everyone. Skys the Limit was for many years the only Permenent drop zone south of San Antonio, and was the only way "locals" got to see civilian skydiving, either participating on a tandem, or on the many demo's into local festivals and school sporting events, also many navy personnel called this dz home through the years given his close proximity to several navy bases. He closed the DZ several years back due to issues at the private airfield and wanting to spend time with his family. His family is planning an ash dive, no dates set yet. Blue skies Gary

Don't feel bad. Last year I got a refund from my 2015 taxes. No, that is not a typo. In 2016 the IRS screwed up my 2015 refund, and I refiled it with an explanation of their mistake. It took from 2016 until 2019 for them to process it.

Not sure what the OP is complaining about. Yes, they sound a bit unprofessional. My only confusion is over no response to the transiting private airplane. Were both jump planes shut down when he flew over? The scary, un-professional, dangerous thing is when cross-country airplanes fly directly over a DZ without listening to the local radio frequency.
