General comment: face masks should not be worn in freefall because they might slip up and cover your eyes ... obscuring vision temporarily. We have seen loose toques blow over jumpers' eyes. The best way to avoid obscuring vision is to secure your buff or neck-warmer snuggly under your chin strap. I have done that during hundreds of cold-weather jumps.

hello someone from Skydive Deland (Florida), in attached file the document about Skydive City policy against Covid 19, someone can tell me if Skydive Deland practice the same policy against the virus, specially NOT wearing mask during freefall ? If I were religious I'd pray for him too. I'd pray for him to resign and enjoy a quiet retirement on a secluded island golf course far from anywhere, with a Twitter feed restricted to the island.

Oh, and I thought it a means to demonstrate your bigotry. My mistake.

No, your cognitive bias is failing to connect the dots. trumps failures in dealing with C-19 exaggerated the effects C-19 should have had on the economy. Saving lives, controlling the virus was his duty as president. He ceded that duty to Jared, to Pence, and finally to the states. All in a effort to escape his personal political liability. The lock-down's benefits of bringing the virus under control will soon be tossed away. Because trump and his followers want him re-elected. If that results in a second or third wave of deaths that will just be too bad for the dead. One less vote against him. You of Coreese know this. But its inconvenient to admit that for trump supporters deaths are just a number, just collateral damage to jumpstart the economy. Inconvenient to admit that trump fumbled the initial response. Bungled the time that the lock-down should have provided. If trump had initiated a national campaign of testing, contact tracing. Like was done within the WH.

This this this! Dacron lines on my Spectre. Compared to my last one with microline, the difference in openings is pretty impressive. I should have mentioned that in my first post.

I never jumped a Triathlon but I did jump a Spectre for a few years. The Spectre always landed very well, but the openings were unpredictable. I transitioned to a Storm with Dacron lines and I haven't been disappointed. If a smooth opening is high on your list of priorities then I would highly recommend those bulky Dacron lines on whatever canopy you choose. You wont be the "Cool Gal" on the dropzone, but your Chiropractor won't be making a fortune off you.

How many jumps do you have? What type / size are you jumping at the moment? It sounds like you're very new and I would suggest renting if you can instead of buying at this time. As an example, my home DZ offers these rental sizes to allow us to downsize safely when we're ready to do so. Navigators: 280, 260, 240, 220, 200 Sabre 2: 210, 190, 170 Navigators are student canopies and are very forgiving for landing. I injured my ankle on the 4th jump, walked with a cane for a week and when I came back 1 month later, I was scarred of the ground. I'm the same weight as you but it took me 24 jumps on a N240 to be able to time the flare properly. As soon as I was nailing the landing on every jump with different wind conditions, I felt confident that I could handle a smaller canopy. For me, there was little differences between the N220, N200 and S2 210 and I quickly ended up on the S2 190. I remember that I hated to rent gear, I had bruises from every jump but it made more sense financially to rent until I was stable in sizes. I bought my first rig with a Pilot 168 and the piloting skills foundation came from the additional time I spent under the N240.

Oh no! This makes me very, very sad. I just saw him post to FB on July 14th that he was celebrating ten years since his bypass, and he felt great. You know how there are people who genuinely smile and seem happy to see you? That was Jack. He always had a corny joke and a smile on his face. I have so much love for him and Lynn, the love of his life. (Photo from a picture his granddaughter posted on FB.)

I just found out that my flash man died last night of heart failure. I'm so sad about this, he was a dear friend. Linda Hardesty Skydiving gave me a reason to live I'm not afraid of what I'll miss when I die...I'm afraid of what I'll miss as I live
