You should have typed Xenophobic, save some time, we got that, "boring" message long ago, just throw your shit against the wall see what sticks, by the way it stinks. What percentage is that? A phobic .004% or Russian influence at .05% China our ally and a conveyor of wold wide freedom, liberty and unity, just "Imagine" You didn't answer my question, did you denounce the beloved beta boy and his sycophants as racist? I think he is and anyone associated with him are....., see how easy it is to prejudge. 2001? What difference does it make, ya'll know your own mantra "once a racist alway a racist". How I really feel? see below. Start at 2:07 This is how I really feel about the Shit hole that was once beautiful L.A .A Golden State transformed into the welfare state in the name of compassion and fairness a pathway lined with good intention. A sort of Zeitgeist, Semolina in the name of Compassion.

Oh boy, the dark side of this board. This is why I usually stick to the classifieds, safety & training, and sadly incidents. Lately I have taken an interest in rigging and that's been a great resource too. But I guess this is what extended time off does to people. We will go back to work and get back in the air when the hysteria around the Shanghai Shivers fades. What we wont go back to is the uncomfortable truce. No one cares about any -isms. What really terrifies some people is that they are loosing power. It's not just Trump. It's Brexit, it's Bolsonaro, it's populists gaining ground in every single EU member state (PiS, AfD etc.) it's even Duterte and Putin who is revered in many Slavic countries not just Russia. And those are just the ones I can think of with out having to do a search. I'll clue some in on who Trumps 'base' is. The base are those that will lose a million dollars over an 'insensitive' tweet. It's the kid that has to sit in a classroom going six figures into debt being lectured that they are evil in the very institution that their ancestors created. The base is the blue collar worker that has to shell out 500 dollars for an EpiPen for their kids allergies while a junky gets Narcanned 3 times in one day on the public dime. It's the people that turn to drugs and alcohol because they lost their job after they trained their cheap overseas replacement. The family man that payed his taxes for 30 years only to send their son to a school that bans the Pledge of Allegiance but teaches 5th graders how to stick their fingers up their asses. We don't usually say much, but we are here, we are everywhere, and we are very, very upset.

For most of my life I thought "patriot" meant someone who loved their country and wanted to defend it. But over the last 4 years I've learned there are people who actually think it means someone who wants to abolish democracy and its freedoms, replace it with a fascist autocracy/theocracy, and banish anyone who is the wrong color, or religion, or has the audacity to believe data and facts override faith and dogma.

I find it interesting that all these businesses claim they are going to reopen in a few weeks. This issue is going to get worse and worse until either a vaccine is discovered or everyone has been infected. It starts with a few people getting infected per day. Then it’s 100 a day. Then 1,000, 10k and eventually we are at millions a day getting infected. If DZs are not comfortable operating when we have 20k infected I’m not sure how they could reason with operating when there are 10 million + infected. This is not a two week thing that will clear up with a bit of social distancing. This is an issue that will stretch well into 2021 most likely.

Three contractors are bidding to fix a broken fence at the White House. A Yankee, a Mexican, and a Texan. They go together with a White House official to examine the fence. The Yankee contractor takes out a tape measure and does some measuring, then works some figures with a pencil. "Well," he says, "I figure the job will run about $900: $400 for materials, $400 for my crew and $100 profit for me." The Mexican contractor also does some measuring and figuring, then says, "I can do this job for $700: $300 for materials, $300 for my crew and $100 profit for me." The Texan contractor doesn't measure or figure, but leans over to the White House official and whispers, "$2,700." The official, incredulous, says, "You didn't even measure like the other guys! How did you come up with such a high figure!?!?" The Texan contractor whispers back, "$1,000 for me, $1,000 for you, and we hire the Mexican to fix the fence." "Done!" replies the government official.

How do you feel about that, since you've said that logic is overrated as a means of looking at the world? And who gets to define what "logic" is? Do I get a voice, or are the only voices that count the ones that agree with your world view? Wendy P.

Interesting. Liberals say the same thing when discussing Trumpies' opinion of immigrants and/or other minorities Wendy P.

Weather forecasters should adopt the Trump style. "The weather for tomorrow. It might rain or maybe not, I have a hunch what it'll be, but, we'll see." 100% right everytime.

Why do you want to constrain other people's customs and traditions? What have you got against America being the land of the free? I think you've mixed up the definitions of 'patriot' and 'fascist'.

Thank you everyone. The phone call came. It wasn't the news I had feared. He made it through the night. Insisted on being released so he should be home today. Not what I want him to do, I think he's too fragile to go home to no medical assistance, but I'm not the one living it and he will be with his wife and daughter. Hoping to talk/text with him later today. I'm probably too happy that we are a bit overstocked with booze at the moment.

Its a rather large circle jerk and trump bashing is central - there are a few hold outs though.

Republicans don't have the market cornered on that move. I think in the near future we'll hear about many on that committee that dumped stocks after being informed of how bad it might get.

You think that China has told us the truth and the correct numbers, right?
  21. 1 point
Huh. When does China accept culpability? It started in China, right? It did, didn't it? It is lethal, and China knew it, yet, It was downplayed by China. When does the blame and the accountability get placed correctly? ETA: When do they start paying out reparations. We will accept ours in reduction of 1/2 the debt we owe them.

That is simply a ridiculous but typical right wing nonsense statement. The police protect you, the fire department protects you, our military protects you. Also, outside of when conservatives get power the EPA, CDC, etc. etc.. protects you. FEMA protects you from starving or freezing to death after a hurricane. Your statement implies, for example, that unless FEMA could prevent hurricanes they are a useless government waste. That is the problem with the right wing world view.

With regard to the money, Penn State hired Michael Mann because of the federal research dollars that would come with him not because of his ground breaking (fraudulent) research.
