Upon reflection I believe I owe you a full apology. If we were face to face I would not call you personally stupid and its foolish on my part to label trump supporters stupid. I don't believe all trump supporters are stupid. IMO self interest, fear and other factors drive their decisions. But clearly you're offended and put off by the broad brush of adjectives I use to describe trump. Then paint his voters with that same brush. Thats foolish and wrong. For that I apologize to those that support him. IMO trump is the embodiment of evil. Sometimes my opinions of him get labeled on those who have the right of democracy and free opinion to support him. His supporters need not nuance differences between him and his actions. From the real reasons why they support him. Many years ago I used to believe Greenpeace, anti-war activists, anti-gun activists, etc. were stupid. Today I know better. Feel free to correct me again should I fall into the weak trap of demonizing trump supporters. Of falsely labeling their absence of character because trump has none.

Paris Accord...what a laugher. Let's just take a look at China's submission to the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) https://www4.unfccc.int/sites/NDCStaging/Pages/All.aspx In part... Based on its national circumstances, development stage, sustainable development strategy and international responsibility, China has nationally determined its actions by 2030 as follows: • To achieve the peaking of carbon dioxide emissions around 2030 and making best efforts to peak early; • To lower carbon dioxide emissions per unit of GDP by 60% to 65% from the 2005 level; • To increase the share of non-fossil fuels in primary energy consumption to around 20%; and • To increase the forest stock volume by around 4.5 billion cubic meters on the 2005 level. Oops. China Is Still Building an Insane Number of New Coal Plants Now let's look at Russia. Hmmm...can't find it. India? Seems like they were doing OK, then the election kind of changed all that. India's major political parties competing in the ongoing general elections have pledged free electricity to farmers, ambitious infrastructure projects and rapid expansion of the manufacturing sector. What impact could this have on carbon emissions in India, already the world's third largest CO2 producer? Climate change: Will India's election energy lead to CO2 rise? So let's all have a koombyah moment. Now, back to work

Hi Eric, I would expect him to do so. The 'Mojo' was developed by Airborne Systems; a fellow by the name of Zwicker, I think ( it has been a few years since I talked to him about it ). The last that I knew, he worked at their New Jersey facilities. Jerry Baumchen

Yeeeee - ah, baby!! Maybe Sun Path wants to steal RI's mojo!

I'm sorry, nuanced long-view opinions don't really belong here. It's a place for smart-alecky quips designed to highlight your overall intellectual or moral superiority As I just did Wendy P.

Didn't you know that you can have 1000 pieces of evidence that water is wet, but if by chance, a single discrepancy is found, all evidence of the water wetness has to be thrown out, and the conclusion must be reached that water is indeed, not wet at all!

Aw nuts, I'm so sorry to hear this. I spent an absolutely lovely day with her at the LA County Fair a number of years ago. Man it was hot! Fly free, and may there always be glitter. Wendy P.

Yes, which makes him right. We're a representative democracy not a direct democracy. The people we send are supposed to make hard, informed decisions that we poor, ignorant fools cannot. That is supposed to include having your ass handed back to you at the next election if you can not explain yourself.

The two biggest questions I have are: 1. What is the long-term future for the Curv rig, RI's flagship product? Will it still be produced five years down? Ten years? Fifteen? 2. What is Sun Path's motivation behind purchasing or merging with RI? Is it to eliminate a competitor over time? Or is it to acquire some of the innovative features that are currently exclusive to the Curv, such as the bio-yoke, bio-curv, and grommetless main flap closure system (among other features)? Perhaps this is a precursor to a new generation Javelin rig that may incorporate some or all of the unique features currently available only on the Curv. It may take some years before the truth comes out.

Ok, I'm not super clear on business terminology of mergers and sales, but: If Sandy owned the company outright, does he now own a share of Sunpath/RI? If not, if he SOLD his company and got some retirement bucks out of it, it was a sale. If those who have ownership of Sunpath, now own RI, well, that also shows a sale. Even the RI FAQ on the deal includes "1. Why is Rigging Innovations being sold to Sun Path Products?" It may be a sale yet still be an effective merger if both teams continue to largely run their own domains, but with gradual co-mingling of staff and processes over time -- best person or process for the job stuff, even if there's a bit of "here's the new way we do things according to Sunpath". Its not like all sorts of spare Sunpath staff will likely be flying to immediately to Arizona and kicking RI people out on the street. Yet what happens down the road when RI gets absorbed into the S. Carolina Sunpath, who knows. Companies often talk of mergers even if one was sold to another, to indicate both teams are valued and are expected -- for now -- to continue to contribute in their own ways. A merger in operations but not actually so in ownership. To what degree it really ends up a merger in the long run varies a lot. I'm willing to stand corrected, but it looks like a sale, could indeed also be called a merger for the short term, but it seems like Sunpath will be firmly in charge in the long term.

If all Kallend can come up with is a "dick joke," it says more about him than it does about me. Sad

To me, that’s a very happy ending! Enjoy the process, not just the goal. Then if you decide to change directions, it’s not a failure, it’s progress. And if you don’t change directions, you’ve still made progress Wendy P.

Given all the sentiments shared here lately, I think an appropriate song for the Bonfire would be wish you were here. . .

Thank you all for your kind responses and for taking me seriously. I actually sent an email to Yves and got an answer few days ago (yes I maybe cried a bit from joy). He recommended for me to continue skydiving, wingsuiting and ideally to make a pilot licence as well. I decided that for now I will just continue to fly for fun and get as many experience as I can :)

Ended up figuring it out last night from a video that PD has on youtube, it was much easier than I thought it would be. the only lines that were misrouted, were the ones that I expected to be misrouted. Even though I obsessively did a line continuity test like 5 times on each individual line after, i’ll still have my rigger check it Knowledge is power

If you do not know and understand completely the answers to those questions you should not be changing your own slinks. You should not be learning how to do it by reading it here. You should get someone who knows what they’re doing to show you. It’s actually fairly simple.

You just like to post. You don't need to think because someone will respond and then you can post again. If not for the internet I'd guess you'd be out tagging instead.

I’m at the tail end of an epic boogie in the Maldives, and the sometimes dicey winds had me preparing to PLF (aka PLR, or parachute landing roll) on every jump. Because in the last 50 feet or so, you just didn’t know when you’d get the updraft, when you’d get the shear, and when you’d get the downdraft. A couple of people got hurt when they: a. Didn’t fly all the way through the landing (eg forgot to finish the flare because that downdraft came in the last 10 feet — sometimes you get unlucky) b. Just plain didn’t prepare to roll, and so hit stiff legged or with legs out like they were still planning to stand up. Passe though it may be considered in some circles, I’m still a fan of preparing to PLR (yeah, I like that name change). Remember, you have to land on every single jump, you should be prepared for a lot of possibilities in conditions Wendy P.

Happy Birthday. Your obsession with denying climate change is a religion then. It is based in denying objective truths, just like that good old tyme religion.

Cos it's in this book see. And the book says no-one's allowed to lie about the stuff in the book, so that makes it true. The books with Santa in them don't have that bit, so you can disregard them as fantasy. Plus bananas fit human hands, or something.
