Hello all, I have a new Curv. When practicing packing it and then opening it again, it seems that it takes a great deal of force to pull the pin when bridle is routed traditionally from top right to bottom. Not because of a tight closing loop, but it seems that the bridle gets hung up on the very angular/sharp lower corner of the right flap, just below the pin. I can even lift the rig off the ground by the bridle before there's enough force for it to open. Is this normal? It's clear to me that it's sort of hung up and loading that sharp corner of the flap. It takes somewhat less force to open when the bridle is routed from the bottom of the container. Am i overanalyzing? Thoughts? Thanks!

Probably. Read the manual, here is a link. https://rigginginnovations.com/sites/default/files/CurvManual-v2.0.pdf See pages 22 through 25.

Lets cover a couple things. 1st saying that McCormick is a USPA member and therefore represents many, many more is a stretch. Yes he's a member. He's also a Trustee on the ISMHOF. Who was paid over 169k in 2016 and 2017. No conflict there. Please let us know who all these others you mention are. 2nd request. 2nd, No, my comment was not directed at the petition you mentioned. I'm not opposed to doing that. What I find most disturbing about this whole process, was how quickly enuff all the BOD members bought into whatever McCormick said at the summer 2018 meeting and thought giving 25K a yr of members dues was a good idea. No plan presented and a history of failure. Nobody from the ISMHOF showed at the summer of 2019 BOD meeting to even give an update. This last meeting they gave McCormick a whopping 10 min. to make a presentation. He showed a few concepts and some possible sites. Basically nothing. If this was a company and he was getting paid (he is), this performance review wude have ended in termination. We desperately need an adult in the room. Review the financials of the ISMHOF and found out where all the donations being given to them are going. If they are unwilling to do that, then immediately stop funding and ask for a clawback. If they have nothing to hide, this shude not be a problem.

You keep trying to discredit others to explain this away. It doesn't matter the packing cards not matching is the entire enchilada... no way around that. Since Cossey and Hayden both thought their chutes were used then it is natural for them to think the other is lying. An extra card, a wrong card, no way.. that is speculation too far.. Those cards are crucial for jumpers. If the card found in the chute left on the plane didn't match the one in the chute later returned to Hayden how can they be the same chute? Both cards matched the Hayden chute packing dates of May 21/71 and both packed by Cossey. The chutes did not match the dates and serial numbers. If the chutes didn't match then that accounts for both Hayden chutes and logically Cooper didn't jump with either of Hayden's back chutes... So which back chute did Cooper jump with?

For Brent it is about being wrong. And, even though you irritate the fuck out of me sometimes, you are a without a doubt a high caliber and very honest guy. So it's really no surprise that you do what you do.

Sounds like yer new to this discussion. May want to read a few pages back and get up to speed. This isn't really a discussion about why we need the museum (we do), it's more about the lack of progress and why it isn't done. A few valid points in your 2c, I'm just not sure what the point is. The cost per member over the 5 yrs is approx $5.83

Who's calling him Saint Mitt or are you making that up? And when did we call him Hitler personified or are you... Ahhh, fuck it, I know the answer to both of these... Christ, man, your partisan shit is weak. But I'll answer your question because you asked it and you didn't really want an answer. (And because you didn't really want an answer, I want to answer it.) First some context, I'm not a Democrat - I'm not affiliated - but he was the governor of my state for a while. I voted for him for Governor, he was way better than his Republican predecessor, Jane Swift, and more or less better than his Democratic challenger, Shannon O'Brien. Anyway, he did a OK job. He cut taxes state-wide, but a lot of that led to shifting the burden to the towns and cities, so a lot of them had to raise taxes. Is that good or bad? I dunno. Most people here don't know either. He came up with the universal health care that my state now has. It isn't perfect, but it's better than having a bunch of uninsured folks clogging up the emergency room (which is the most expensive version of care you can get). I'd rather be in that system than be poor an uninsured in something like Alabama. Of course, once that plan - originally from Bain Capital - got adopted by Obama, the Republican party couldn't have it... Which was weird because they proposed it... But that's another story. Anyway, I think he's mostly looked at as a B+ or maybe A- governor. In terms of running for Presidency, I don't think he ever had a chance given demographics, but whatever. I voted for him in my state's primary. Most people from my state basically shrugged their shoulders, though, when it didn't work out. So... I dunno. Flash forward to today. Clearly the guy had something on his conscience that made him think he ought to vote the way he did, instead of being a robot and voting the way he was told. Regardless of his position, I'd be OK with that, since I'm really OK with independent thought. That might bother you, though, since I get the vibe that you are one of those people who root for politics like they do sports teams, and without a whole lot of thought.

No slider? Ouch. On the other hand, I do wonder just how much effect the slider does have, as the openings are rather hard in my very limited experience... (Single keel that is. Dual keel is nicer all around.)

Came across a canopy that looks like a single keel paradactyl, but was made by Pioneer. Does anyone know what it might be?
