Huh? Not sure what the point is here. Lets try and clarify. The ISMHOF hasnt accomplished anything in 48 yrs except beg for donations, make a bunch of false promises and induct folks into a non existent Hall of Fame. Or shude it be Hall of Shame. They have managed to do all this and somehow spend 327K in 1 yr of said donations doing well, nothing. The amount is much higher over the life of this debacle. The members of the ISMHOF and the USPA BOD continue to support this with "0" oversight using members money. At the same time, ignoring real issues that shude be addressed. Airport access, funding competitions, the list is long, the excuses are many and I feel it needs to change. As long as nobody seems to give a shit about it, it will continue to happen. My lone voice won't change it. If this is important to any member, you need to speak up and see if we can get this done before we are all dead

Bees are very cool. My first substantial encounter with bees came in my freshman year at a branch campus of Penn State (Mont Alto). There was a small panic as there was a swarm of bees in front of an office/snack bar/hang out building. They were thousands of them, piled inches deep on a big oak. One of the forestry majors showed up with a smoker and a cardboard box, he lived off campus and had an empty beehive. He grabbed some leaves, stuffed them into his smoker, lit them and charged headlong into this mass of bees. Everyone thought he was crazy. He held the box below the swarm with one hand and was pumping the smoker with the other. He was covered in bees yet was not getting stung. He was frustrated because he needed a third hand and shouted "can anybody please help me?" He obviously knew what he was doing so I volunteered to help. He directed me to hold the box against the tree and proceeded to scoop large chunks of bees into the box. Bees were swarming all around me and I could not see my arms from my elbows down as they were covered in bees. All of a sudden he took the box from me and started to walk away (he saw the queen go in the box and knew the rest of the swarm would follow) As he walked away, I said, covered in bees, "a little help please" he looked over his shoulder and said just jump up and down. It worked. I met up with him later and got an education on bees

And why not? Being "above" that kind of behaviour has had exactly zero benefit. Trump absolutely trashing all norms and running the office like his personal piggy-bank has had exactly zero consequence. What motive is there at this point to not simply join in? The bar. Has been. Set.

But who is paying for it?

Wearing a bare rig (not Billvon - the others) to board a flight is not wise. So many likely nervous grandmas and pilots that can express their concern, and then it is an easy decision for security of whatever label to tell us it can't be carry on. Downsizing won't fix an issue with heading on opening. First is to check and make sure all the lines on the canopy are in trim. next, look at packing techniques and body position on opening. Also, what is your body doing *during* the opening sequence ? Are you watching your canopy snivel or staying in a stable position and letting it open ?

First some context, I'm not a Democrat - I'm not affiliated - but he was the governor of my state for a while. I voted for him for Governor, he was way better than his Republican predecessor, Jane Swift, and more or less better than his Democratic challenger, Shannon O'Brien. Anyway, he did a OK job. He cut taxes state-wide, but a lot of that led to shifting the burden to the towns and cities, so a lot of them had to raise taxes. Is that good or bad? I dunno. Most people here don't know either. He came up with the universal health care that my state now has. It isn't perfect, but it's better than having a bunch of uninsured folks clogging up the emergency room (which is the most expensive version of care you can get). I'd rather be in that system than be poor an uninsured in something like Alabama. Of course, once that plan - originally from Bain Capital - got adopted by Obama, the Republican party couldn't have it... Which was weird because they proposed it... But that's another story. Anyway, I think he's mostly looked at as a B+ or maybe A- governor. In terms of running for Presidency, I don't think he ever had a chance given demographics, but whatever. I voted for him in my state's primary. Most people from my state basically shrugged their shoulders, though, when it didn't work out. So... I dunno. Flash forward to today. Clearly the guy had something on his conscience that made him think he ought to vote the way he did, instead of being a robot and voting the way he was told. Regardless of his position, I'd be OK with that, since I'm really OK with independent thought. That might bother you, though, since I get the vibe that you are one of those people who root for politics like they do sports teams, and without a whole lot of thought.

I would need to see your Sabre 2 and it's line trim to give you an opinion. Sabre 2s are not generally known to have a high number of off heading or hard openings. However, many of them have Spectra (micro-line) and these can go out of trim and cause problems. I don't know you well enough to recommend a downsize, but a Sabre 2 170 with that kind of wing loading would seem to be appropriate for someone with 400 jumps. Safire 3s and Sabre 2s are both good canopies and I can offer no opinion between them except to say that there is no canopy like a Sabre 2 for holding resale value. Nothing compares.

The real friends and families of the deceased are already experiencing enough grief; it is improper and rude to come here and post negative comments about people who are dearly missed to some.
