And just to save time, lets not get into qualifications ( jump numbers, yrs in sport, yada yada) tell us what you see wrong or rite and what ya think needs to be done Thanx

1 point"I hope you guys realize that religion played a pivotal role in the development of civilization. Without it we would still be a bunch of Neolithic warring tribes." Are you a goldfish?
-
1 pointIt really is. Controversial, not true. And again, that means you're using bad logic and lying about it. Can't have it both ways. You must have an incredibly dim view of anthropology, because it's absolute claptrap. Exhibit a: War. It never stopped, it just got bigger. The only way religion is responsibe for stopping us from being tribes fighting with spears is if the religious leaders were the guys who invented nastier weapons than spears. I mean for crying out loud, if you think belief in god scared us all into being nice to each other I don't even know what planet you're living on. Have you literally walked through your entire life with your eyes closed?

1 pointThe role of superstition, and the use of it to control populations ignorant of the workings of the natural world, in the formation, organization and development of early civilizations is undisputed. (This forum being a prime example) Care to call bullshit, sir?

1 pointNo, I've been quite consistent in pointing out hypocrisy over the years. If you wanted to look back you'll see I've said the same thing many times - I don't care if people are polite or insulting, but I can't stand the ones who moan and moan about courtesy from others and then come out and throw insults. Pretty much every post Coreece has made over the last 6 months has been moaning about (often imagined) bigotry from supposed anti-christians, then he comes out and says something clearly bigoted. I don't see why it's difficult for either of you to grasp the reason I pointed it out.

1 pointI've never heard of this, usually the issue short TI's have is getting stuck with the beefcakes while all the big guys get the teeny students. Edit: Got it. Lol. Further explanation below. In the same token it's typically skinny little people who stick their legs straight out in front of them and try to whip you onto your back.

1 pointAll current meteorological phenomena are well within the range of natural variability. For the past few years Michael Mann has been up in his office frantically P hacking his ass off looking for a defensible example of attribution, and has not been able to provide a single one.

1 pointIt's the topic of the thread. Everyone wants to denigrate religion, even suggesting it is a mental illness. I merely pointed out, without it we would still be wearing loincloths and killing our neighbors with spears.

1 pointBecause investigators generally don't tell the press how their investigations are going. They wait until the investigation has reached the point where they are arresting people. They aren't there yet.

1 pointFor some perverse reason it has become a point of pride with him, He does not seem to realize or care that it makes many people just ignore him,

1 pointOK Happy Valley guy, Answer me this: in your time on this planet, have you not personally experienced milder winters? Spring and autumn that don't last like they used too??? I've only been here for 50 turns around the system but I can speak from what I've seen for myself. To be in TOTAL denial of OUR impact on climate is... PFD

1 pointyeah man, you will get advice, what advice you use is up too you!!! As stated, you learn the SIMPLE way first, focusing on SAFETY and getting you licensed. THEN you learn to become a flier! Enjoy the process.

1 pointWould Should Right Might That is what I get out of your posts. Not any content that might actually be relevant, but you purposely spelling those words incorrectly. I get the occasional misspell, but that is not what is going on here. Stop dumbing yourself down and people might take you seriously.

1 pointThey're plenty solvent rite now. They managed to weasel enuff donations to put 5.7m in the kitty. Yet, that's not enuff. The so called "plan" they've presented simply won't work. At least not without continuous and further funding. Maybe thats the plan.....

1 pointAs an atheist I do not require that you or the government also be atheist. I want my government to be secular.
-
1 pointBy that logic, the Black Panthers were really just white supremacists at heart. No, it's just that we're tired of living in a supposedly secular constitutional republic and standing silent while the state blatantly places one religion on a pedestal.

1 pointSo true. As I said to skybytch separately: "... giving salutes to the new senior jumpers for doing the right things from people like you could easily be the most sport strengthening things you ever said." We're not completely F'n useless :)

1 point========================= Russian scientists find 'most powerful' ever methane seep in Arctic Ocean Telegraph.co.uk 8 OCTOBER 2019 • 5:11PM Russian scientists in the Arctic Ocean said they have discovered the most powerful methane gas fountain ever recorded, highlighting the danger of this greenhouse gas accelerating climate change or causing an oil or gas spill as it erupts from thawing permafrost. A research expedition from the Tomsk polytechnic university found the seep, as methane leaks are known, east of Bennett Island in the East Siberian Sea, where its violent bubbles seemed to make the water “boil” over an area of 50 square feet. The concentration of methane in the air there was up to 16 parts per million, more than nine times higher than the atmospheric average. . . . A recent Russian study found that the thawing of underwater permafrost has doubled in the past three decades, reaching 18 centimetres a year. One of the consequences has been massive releases of methane from the seafloor, including from hydrates, ice-like formations of solid methane that can explode into gas if they are destabilised. ============================ Global Biogeochemical Cycles Very Strong Atmospheric Methane Growth in the 4 Years 2014–2017: Implications for the Paris Agreement March 2019 Abstract: Methane is the second most important anthropogenic greenhouse gas (M. R. Allen et al., 2018; Etminan et al., 2016; G. Myhre et al., 2013). In the 1990s, the atmospheric methane burden trended toward equilibrium, which it reached by the end of the twentieth century (Dlugokencky et al., 2011), with little or no growth in its atmospheric burden in the early years of this century. In 1984, the first year with detailed records, the global annual average atmospheric mole fraction of methane in the remote marine boundary layer was 1,645 ppb. In 2006, just before the recent growth phase began, it was about 1,775 ppb. This grew rapidly to an annual global mean of 1,850 ppb in 2017, a total rise of about 75 ppb in the 2007–2017 period (Figure 1). The increase is continuing. ===============================
