2 pointsThis is priceless...... https://doublebaytoday.com/facebook-ceo-launches-inquiry-into-why-so-many-boomers-think-satire-is-real/?fbclid=IwAR37xiPLo7uhr_msQCCtzhznDCVZbkQ_H681iZ7lryDXTYznCyf_eJgbIzo

2 points“Unscripted” in this case is synonymous with “saying whatever it takes for a short-term gain or applause with no intention of carrying anything out” and “pulling it out of your ass because you don’t actually know anything.” America deserves better than that. Wendy P.

1 pointI get that Mark and I understand where you are coming from. It has absolutely nothing to do with my dislike of Hillary and the reasons for it.
-
1 pointyou'll also be wearing thirty pounds of parachute gear. That'll make you fall faster.
-
1 pointYou take the same posture you'll fall pretty much the same speed as in the tunnel. The only differences (why you'll fall slightly faster up there) are due to air density difference but that doesn't make any big difference (after all, it affects everyone else the same way). And given your extreme ability to arch, I'm sure you'll have a wide range of fall speeds to choose after some practice. As others already said, keep up, listen to your instructors, you'll do just fine :)
-
1 pointI hate you for being young, thin, and flexible enough to arch like that. Just kidding, sort of! Just keep jumping, you'll do fine. Your instructors will cope.

1 pointCanada's version of The Onion, The Beaverton, has a story on a problem with the swearing in of the jury. https://www.thebeaverton.com/2020/01/bible-on-which-u-s-senators-swear-impartiality-for-trumps-impeachment-trial-bursts-into-flames/

1 point#1 - Don't overthink it. That's really easy to do and you seem to do that some (not a criticism, just an observation). #2 - If you are stable on your belly in the tunnel, you are headed in the right direction. Keep in mind that's all you need to do a release dive (level 3?) Turns come later. I'm guessing your 'turn like an airplane' is dipping a shoulder and having that make you turn. It works, but there are better ways. As your instructors noted, it's kind of hard to explain. Turns using your arms & legs will be more controllable, more efficient and have less of an effect on your fall rate. Do you know what speed they were running the tunnel at? I don't have a whole lot of tunnel time, but I tend to run the tunnel a good bit slower than 'real' freefall. Partly because if I'm alone in the tunnel, I don't have to keep down with other jumpers. I tend to fall pretty slow.

1 pointI think that's still wishful thinking at this point. From the article: and ends with, Similarly, I have an app called "Vote Spotter." It posts issues that have been voted on by both chambers, and allows you to enter whether you would vote for or against the bill as described. I also track how my elected representatives vote on each issue, and allows for emails to my members of congress on each issue (or in general) right from the app. It also posts polls on occasion. The current once asking whether the president should be removed from office stands at 61% against. Of course, you have to consider the sampling -- my dad (a Fox Entertainment Channel die-hard who lives his secluded retired life in the forests of northern Michigan) introduced me to it. Those kinds of polls are definitely not random sampling. However, on issues that seem to pass or fail generally along party lines, you'll find the agree/disagree at about the same split. Bills that pass more definitively regardless of party tend to have similar reaction from users.

1 pointI agree with the exception of you thinking that you've been getting anything different from DC in your lifetime.
-
1 pointAs gowlerk said, it should be instructors (examiners just execute the exam), though I would add a big IF - if you're not in the US (semi-assuming so based on your username) the regulations might be different and you should check in the official documents of your own regulatory body/law to be completely sure.

1 pointLiberals are winning, Ron. Women can vote and own property. Blacks can marry whites. Blacks have all the same rights as whites have. Gays have rights. We have a free market. (Yes, that's a liberal plank.) We have reduced pollution. We have a space program that now does nothing but scientific research. We have the right to free speech, the right to own guns, the right to a trial by jury and the right to be secure in our home and possessions. We have enacted limits on the power of government. We have privatized industries from airlines to phone service to delivery services. These will all continue - and are all a result of progressive liberalism changing the way things worked years (or decades, or centuries) before. You can keep hoping for a return to the days where marriage is restricted by race and orientation, but you will fail. Progress will continue and we will all be better for it.

1 pointAnd that is the great big point. I don't believe there was a snow balls chance in hell that Trump would be a decent president or do a decent job based simply on his history and words. If you voted for him over Hillary on what you believe were their individual merits then you could not have spent much time looking at him.

1 pointAnother one of those "The USA is the world and the last few years are all of history" silly statements. "MSM, transgender women, and sex workers are disproportionately burdened with syphilis in all regions" "in Western Europe, the USA, and China, large increases in syphilis have been seen among key populations like men who have sex with men." Europe - "most cases of syphilis were observed in people older than 25 years and 58% of cases were reported among MSM." - "The proportion of total cases of syphilis was higher among MSM (58%) than heterosexual persons (36%). Among MSM, 34% of the syphilis cases had a HIV coinfection." More Europe (UK) - "data collected in sexual health clinics in England from 2005 to 2014 showed increased syphilis diagnoses among MSM and decreased syphilis diagnoses among non-MSM and women" - "From 2013 to 2014, cases of syphilis rose by 46% among MSM (2,375 cases to 3,477 cases) That increase is thought to be due to high levels of condomless sex, particularly among men who are co-infected with HIV. Just for the hell of it - Australia - "Overall rates of syphilis diagnoses have increased to 6.7 cases per 100,000 persons in 2012. Among the non-indigenous population of Australia, most cases of syphilis were reported among MSM. Those rates have increased by 20% from 2008 to 2012 among men aged 30 to 49 years" Extra Credit - "The recent introduction of pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) for HIV infection is a new tool for HIV prevention, however, with reports of high incidence of syphilis among PrEP users, clinicians and public health researchers need to stay vigilant to ensure that PrEP for HIV infection does not lead to increased syphilis transmission " - "Because syphilitic lesions increase risk for acquiring and transmitting HIV infection, syphilis infections among MSM are of particular concern" - "Partner treatment is an effective way to manage syphilis outbreaks among heterosexual patients . Addressing partner treatment among MSM has traditionally been more difficult, especially due to the high proportion of sexual contacts that may be anonymous and facilitated by social media." More where that came from https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6089383/

1 pointMaybe it is that a large number of American men are afraid of a powerful woman? Maybe they just aren’t ready to accept a female president? I wonder how much of the religious view is tied in with this that only a man must hold a position of power?
-
1 pointKeep him there. Here we'll put him in jail for 2 days and let him out on compassionate grounds.

1 pointThat Joker is from near my hometown. He’s been wanted here for a few months now. They’ve been looking in your country because they know he went there to be with his brethren. The Canadian military has more than it’s fair share of white nationalists. We keep weeding them out as best we can.

1 pointi dumped it two years ago but made a fake one to buy gear with. got a rig for $500 so far, when i get both pilot chutes, both dbags, and risers i am gonna delete that one. the stupid is strong on facebook. the only chance we have this year is to make sure we get voters to the polls and hope they aren't fooled by the propaganda. like either of those will happen though.

1 pointAbsolutely correct, she seems to post to FuckedUpBook before she posts and sends the blog out. I didn't get it until after going to bed and had already caught the FB post. Given the results of FB disinformation, elections coming up, and now a war, I'm troubled with what FB will put out. I think it's going to push social media away from what it is now, which should be a good thing in the long run.

1 pointAre you aware of US involvement (meddling) in Iran in the 20th century? We overthrew a democratically elected government to install a brutal tyrant. It's rather disgusting how the US is all about 'civil rights' and 'democracy' unless it is in another country. Then we seem to find the most brutal and oppressive dictator we can, and install them in charge. The US then supported the Shah for 4 decades, selling him all sorts of hardware and getting oil. To pretend that the US doesn't 'own' at least some of the responsibility for the Iranians 'Death To America' attitude is pretty disingenuous. To pretend that Iran has no valid reasons to project power regionally is too. And as far as the Camp David accords go, how many wars have Israel & Egypt had since then? How many large scale wars has Israel been involved in since then?

1 pointWhich is, again, any different to any other part of the world because...? I mean hell, you are doing the exact same thing right now. Justifying potentially going to war today because of what their great grandfathers did centuries ago.
-
1 pointThat is the very type of thinking that the ME has used for centuries to justify their clan wars. Your great grandfather offended my great grandfather ad nauseum

1 point36 hours or so after the assassination I am noticing a distinct lack of supportive messaging from the R party Senators, aside from Moscow Mitch. I'm sure many of them are pissed off over the lack of notification as Trump huddled in Mara-largo with a decidedly less than A team group of advisors and made a hasty decision. I would guess most of them are sniffing the air and huddling to get more information on just WTF Donny was thinking. It's also possible that the orange one is becoming more unhinged than usual and that his administration is getting spooked by his increasingly erratic behavior. Tomorrow is Sunday. If there are not a large group of heavy weight pols making the rounds of the talk shows to support this move I'm going to start thinking some are getting cold feet. I've always said that this job is far beyond his ability and that he will crack from the pressure. This large error may be the beginning of his undoing.
