Q assumes he knows what’s going on, and looks for evidence to support it. Unfortunately, that kind of implies ignoring all the contradictory evidence, or reassigning value based on how well it dovetails. Evidence should lead to conclusions. Once you look for evidence to support your conclusion, you’re constructing a story. Wendy P.

Im surprised that so many of you still give this sad troll the online attention that he really craves in real life.

Hi, Peronne ! http://www.parachute-peronne.fr/ At Aérodrome de Péronne Saint-Quentin 4000m, will be open the 08 Aug (if weather is ok, of course), Cesna supervan, 28 euro the plane ticket, 10 for rig renting, 6 for pack ticket They have rental rig from 170 to 260. Beware french regulations regarding main canopy size if you come with your rig : https://www.ffp.asso.fr/tailledevoile/ put your naked weight in kilo, your jumps number and discover the minimum main canopy size. you could get 11% less if DZO accept it (flight 1 courses by example). Some people, including the DZO, speak english. If your profile is accurate, 3000 jumps and 170 canopy is ok 1h30 drive from paris. Easy highway drive There is a facebook page where you may ask for more info

I'm wondering if these comments were intended as jocular. Realistically of course, we're unlikely to see either of these things. It's an age-old argument and a degree of naivety in ignoring physical gender differences and there should be no stigma to that. Would anyone really find it entertaining to see a female quarterback sacked by a 250 pound male linebacker or be on the receiving end of any substantial sport contact ? In an era of progressive politics, safe spaces and the 'me too' movement; even the social interactions of genderless team contact sports would be potentially absurd before they even take the field. However, I do find it curious that chess competitions have gender categories. I was hopeful that this could be an area of equality but no such luck; There are no 'men-only' tournaments but there are 'women-only' tournaments. Not to hijack the thread too much, this topic is discussed here and, yes, high ranking female players are duly noted there. Referring back to the OP; I watch sports to admire the best skills and to be entertained by spectacular moves, I don't go to 'see my team win'. Winning is just the gravy. I generally expect most sports enthusiasts feel this way and hence this drives the 'economy' of sports. It's fantastic if the women's team genuinely, objectively play better but it's less remarkable if winning their gender category is the only criteria for 'better'.

I broke my T10-L4 and have my T11-L3 fused. It was broken on a jump. I used a walker for two weeks, a cane for a month. After 7 months, I saw the doctor for my final xray, and was declared permanently fused. I jumped a few days later (BASE). Skydived a few weeks after that. Lots of pilates and stretches and core strengthening. The injury occurred in March of 2017; I've been jumping since October 2017. Mostly BASE, some skydiving. A BASE opening is substantially harder than a skydive opening! I say go for it after your doctor clears you. The part that hurts my back the most is the packing! But this is still getting easier to do every week. I did upsize my canopies to help slow things down. I'm 42 and in decent shape for the record.

This document was declassified by EO (Executive Order) last week. Note: the significance can be determined on the signature page. You claim an understanding of human psychology, how would you explain your predilection for clipped military speak? Is it just an "in the moment" sort of thing like Northerners saying ya'll when in Texas? Or, does this Q thing do something for you on a much deeper level?

I remember about two years ago when Q announced that the arrest warrants for Hillary Clinton and dozens of other "deep state" actors had in fact been issued and the arrests would come at any moment. It was "CONFIRMED." How'd that turn out for you?

There should be a little yellow rectangle just to the right of the thread title. Click on it and it should take you to the first unread post. Hover over it and it says so.

I used to be a major lurker. Or I guess I lurked here and posted in bonfire or events. I think reading here views on events as they happen may have given me a bit of a more rounded perspective. Yobnoc you are correct about the embarrassment when your realize you did not make the wisest choices and that can definitely make someone defensive. I think that is where a lot of the divisiveness we see in our country now may come from. If you get defensive enough from not admitting when you are wrong it can make you double down on the very thing you are wrong about. Ha I hope I explained that in a way you all can understand.

I've seen that sentiment a lot and I used to share it. Now I don't. (Long before Trump.) Consider the case of a DZ trying to hire a new pilot after they had a scary almost-crash with their Otter. They look at several experienced commercial pilots - some with military experience, some with freight experience, some with thousands of hours of CFI time. Should they hire one of those guys, or hire the guy who runs the local liquor store and isn't a career pilot? After all, the liquor store owner will approach it with a new mindset and apply some "out of the box" thinking. And he had to run his own business, so he has real-world business experience instead of simulated flight time and socialist military experience, where you get paid no matter how bad you are. And the last pilot had commercial and multiengine ratings - and look how THAT turned out! Most DZO's (and pilots, and skydivers) would hear that and say "WTF! You hire a guy with experience if you want your airplane flown well and your DZ to succeed." Politicians are no different. Some are good, some are bad - but they all have experience in managing governments. And a good politician with experience managing a government will do a better job than a reality TV star and real estate guy with half a dozen bankruptcies to his name. The big difference between pilots and politicians is that pilots usually don't have fully half the country dedicated to finding fault with them.

THIS is why we have divided ourselves. Rick and I have a personal experience with wildly opposing views on a few issues, yet we haven't (Yet!) divided our friendship. It's interesting to realize you can actually be friends with, support their right to chose, and still disagree with people unlike yourself. It's actually pretty informative to consider opposing stances, perspectives, experiences, and views on most topics/issues. Attacking people for having their own views on issues is anti-American IMO. We're all free to vote who and how we want. I still cannot understand the near violent approach we have to differing views.

John Mc Cain wss baited by members of the public at a rally when they said that Obama was an Arab. John Mc Cain didnt start chanting 'Send him home' he stood up for Obama and explained that he was a decent man who had different political ideas. People bending over backwards to defend Trump are tarring themselves with the same brush that Trump has used to tar himself.

There’s an interesting aspect to racism and culture. I was born in Zimbabwe and grew up seeing South Africans as racist but we were not. Then I moved to the UK and saw just how racist Zimbabweans were or could be and also for the first time really experienced racism from Black to White (try dealing with the Zimbabwean embassy and people inside it as a white Zimbabwean 15-20 years ago). i then spent time in the Southern US states and can safely say that those states have rampant racism, very close to the worst I saw in Africa. Now I’m in Australia and racism is quite prevalent. There is an ad running on the radio at the moment where ‘x is a whinging Pom and when the temperature is above 28 degees...’ It’s actually pretty offensive. In short people normalise their views based on who they surround themselves with. I’m sure that Trump and members of the KKK genuinely believe they aren’t racist, but you know those black lives matter people, wow are they racist or what!

I'm just really confused here. Is it anti-semitic to disagree with a government's political moves? Is Israel's government beyond any criticism whatsoever? It seems like these days if anyone even raises an eyebrow at Israeli policy or questions what their government is doing, they just get nailed with the "anti-semite" label. What's up with that?

Hi everyone, I write this post to come to terms with my 1st real dangerous situation I had to deal with while skydiving 2 weeks ago on May 17th. As I want to improve my flying skills and safety at canopy flight, I was attending a canopy course. It was my 41st jump altogether and 1st jump of the day. As it was a canopy course I jumped out at 2000 m. 3 others went out before me, then I decided to go out with a sit floater exit. 1st mistake: I pulled when I wasn't stable. I thought "hop and pop" when I should have waited 2-3 more seconds to be stable. I tipped forward felt the pilot chute sliding along my right leg and immediatly knew I fucked up. While I was hoping not to get entangled my main opended. But... not as you want it to... line overs, line twists and I started to spin. When I saw the mess I decided to cut away. My first time... 1700 m. 2nd mistake: Instead of cutting away and waiting a second before pulling the reserve, I pulled the reserve pillow almost immediatly after cutting away... not the same time but maybe 1/10th of a second. Faster than my skyhook... So the reserve shot through the left riser of my main before it could totally release. My reserve opened but the riser of my main was wrapped around all the reserve lines with the main pulling on it. I just managed to catch the lines of my main and tried to solve the problem. Then I realized I wouldn't be able to get rid of the main nor pull it towards me. I could barely prevent it from running up the lines of my partially open reserve - twisted lines, slider not totally down. If I would have let go, the main would have run up the lines of my reserve collapsing everything. No way to hold the main by its lines rubbing on my fingers until I hit ground. Swearing. 1000 m. Turning point: Then I remembered my hook knife. I was hoping not to loose it when I was fiddling it out of the pocket while I was getting hurled around. I managed it. Cut all the lines of my main canopy, got rid of main riser and lines inside my reserve lines and kicked out the twisted reserve. 800 m. After I was safe I even tried the things I learned at the canopy course and landed standing. Repair will be pretty expensive but life is worth a lot more... Lessons learned: Stabilize before pull if possible. Don't pull the reserve too fast after cutting away. Always wear a hook knife. The next day I jumped twice but on my 2nd jump I pulled my left calf because I flared late... So I haven't jumped for 2 weeks. The situation still occupies my mind. I want to go to my dropzone on Sunday again. Thanks for reading.
